It was completely dead & still under warranty so he hooked me up with another one & was very thorough. Today I strolled in to get a headlight for my truck. I was amazed at how many options there were for a headlight. Johnny was very knowledgeable and explained all of the differences to me. I felt like he really took the time to go over everything and then he helped me out with another issue with my truck. He was very nice, and knowledgeable. I really appreciated him taking the time with me. There were other customers coming in and out of the store that all seemed to be familiar with him. First time at this Advance Auto. I like the chain and typically will seek them out. My regular location is on Shore Drive in Chicks Beach. I feel like I was cheating going to another store...ha! This location off Princess Anne sits far enough back that it has a bit of a visibility issue. Also the fact they changed all the signage from red to yellow does not help. The parking lot is spacious and I found it tidy. There was also no debris on walk up. I needed two items windshield wipers and washer fluid. I waited on the clerk to discuss sizing and brands. I go through this every year. If you let the dealer put them on they are the lowest quality and last only a few months. Once the man was available he typed in the info of model and make plus my phone if I wanted on their email. No to email. He led me to the aisle and showed me four different options. I settled on the TRICO which are not the most expensive, but not el cheapo either. Prior to purchasing them I grabbed a bottle of coke from the refrigerator and asked for an opener. The clerk had none so I returned it. I'm assume the would sell more if they had bottle openers, I mean who carries them around. The transaction was smooth. The gentleman got the job done, but no personality. I waited on the other employee to install my wipers since it's free of charge. He was more outgoing and friendly. He took less than 2 minutes to install and they work great! Advance has a few services that customers may not be aware of besides installing wipers. They also perform battery and alternator checks and install them. I would come back, but still in love with my Home CXB location. read more

I called because the Car Shop on London Bridge blvd. wanted $325 to replace my ac relay switch. I was pretty sure that was outrageous. The man who answered the phone was super helpful and gave me enough knowledge to call back and blast the service manager. I probably could've had the man at advance help me do it. But I was in z hurry for a trip. I did get him to reduce it to $95. Women have to watch out. There are a few good guys out here. At least one works at this Advance Auto! read more

I went into this location yesterday to get an air filter and a cabin filter for my truck. Both filters were difficult to find, but the manager was very helpful and was able to get me exactly what I needed. I had gone to an autozone the day before, was in there twice as long, and they seemed clueless when trying to help me. So, thank you. My truck thanks you too. read more

These guys are pros, and I don't mean the kind that turn tricks for money. My husband and I have been coming here for years and have never walked away disappointed. The men who work here are so knowledgeable and helpful, it is exactly what you want in a store. Not only do they almost always know what you are talking about or what you need, they will offer you alternatives, almost always cheaper and will tell you how to do it/get it. The last time I was in there I made an off the cuff remark about getting heavy duty duck tape residue off of the wall. The man told me not to buy anything expensive, just use plain WD-40. Well by that time I could have written a book basically about all of the ways not to be able to get this crap off of the wall. But he was right! The WD-40 worked. These guys are awesome. They even do a military discount and they usually ask if you military. I know it seems silly, but a lot of places give the discount but do not advertise it. These guys seem excited to give it to you. I can't say enough good things about this store. Sometimes we forget about it because it is easy to to to Walmart or Lowe's for one stop shopping, but these guys have reasonable prices and the customer service is tops. We are moving soon and I will miss living down the street from this place. Seriously though, they are great. read more

Truly disappointed. I have been a loyal customer for many years. We have 5 vehicles in the family so there is always a reason to visit the store. Unfortunately, upon this last visit the team member made a comment that has caused me to write this review. I purchased parts online (as usual) and went to pick them up. After the associate pulled my parts, he made several remarks about my choice. Those remarks..........lets just say he left me wondering if the "new" parts are substandard in some way.I no longer have confidence in the quality of the parts or the company as a whole. Take your business elsewhere. I want to say this review is only regarding this location. I've never had a problem at any other location. The manager Tony at the Princess Anne location is inept when it comes to customer service and extremely condescending. When I asked about a warranty replacement for my battery he said it would take an hour to test it. After an hour he said it hasn't charged showing issue considering. He said another 30 minutes or you can just take the old defective battery back to the shop that identified it as faulty with a smile on his face. That's a black eye an an absolute disgrace to the rest of the professional Advance auto locations in the area. I will never set foot in this location again. Virginia Beach Blvd and Witchduck location is fantastic by the way. The GM for the Princess Anne store has his work cut out for him. Definitely an embarrassment to their brand. read more

They recently changed their hours from closing at 9 PM to closing at 8 PM. I arrived at 8:20 thinking that they were still operating under their old hours. I was about to leave disappointed when one of the workers came to the door and still got my order for me! I have been using this location for about seven years now and their service always blows me away! And the convenience of ordering online and picking up in store is awesome! read more

LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Some folks shouldn't be allowed to help customers and these folks are them. I came in stating my son had gotten the wrong part, brought the part I took off the car that needed to replace the part, the part my son bought and the receipt and they treated me like I was an idiot. Acted as if I was inconveniencing them for walking in. There were only 2 customers in the store and two associates. They looked in the computer, found the right part at other stores since they didn't have. I said thanks on my way out and no response. Oh, and I did notice the other customer was having issues as well. I'll go 10 miles out of my way to another store before I use this one again. read more

For a company that advertises best service, the service at this location was horrible! I was ready to check out and waited in line quite a while. I was very patient knowing there was only one service member checking people out and the other person was helping someone outside. When it was my turn, he didn't even smile nor greet me, just took my stuff and scanned it. The whole time, he was on the phone. They also proudly advertise military discount.. Well, since he was on the phone, I didn't want to interrupt him, figured I'd be nice and just gave him my military I.D. He looked at it and still charged me the full price. When he finally got off the phone, I asked him about the military discount, he just simply stated "No, I did not give you the discount." Obviously! He then told me to wait and he would give me the discount. After a while, he calculated the difference, said he would have to redo the whole purchase or he can just give me the difference in cash from his pocket since it wasn't a big difference or we can just leave it the way it is. He seemed very irritated and after what he just said, I just left things the way it was. How very condescending and messed up was that...?! read more
