I've taken my civic to be serviced by Anthony twice and both times he has provided great service. I like taking my car to him because he doesn't nickel and dime you like the car dealerships will. I had suggested that I might need my brakes to be looked at, but he was honest with me and told me to hold off for another oil change or two because they were still good and doesn't want me to spend more money than I have to. His pricing is also more affordable than the dealership on top of him not trying to make you pay for more services that you may not need. A week after servicing my car, my battery just happened to die. It was completely unrelated to the service I had just gotten (my car is about 4 years old), but I didn't know at first so I gave him a call. I took my 03 mustang gt that was failing smog these guys fixed the issue quicky and quoted me the lowest price in the area without trying to take advantage of the tax season not only did they fix my smog issues with my exhaust but they located also another issue and showed me physically with my transmission mount brought it to my attention and left you alone leaving me to decide what I want to do I really do appreciate business like that I will definitely be coming back for my mounts thanks again guys. read more

"VERY UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE"....Went into this shop looking for a Magnaflow muffler, he didn't have them in stock but said he had a magnaflow knock off brand that would be the exact same. So I took the risk based upon his assurance that it would be the same. Come to find out, this knock off muffler has a ton of drone no different than the old flow master I swapped it out for. In addition to that, my exhaust system was not realigned correctly so now the exhaust tubing hangs low in the rear. I called the owner to discuss my problems and unhappiness with this knock off brand and said I would pay the difference for a magnaflow and asked him to swap them out.He only put this muffler on 2 days ago from this review, so I figured he would understand. Needless to say they won't help out their customers if you're unhappy with their work or products. He told me that I was stuck with this crappy knock off and that I would have to pay full price for a new muffler and install fees and that I should try selling this knock off on my own??? "Very unprofessional"!!!! Due to the lack of customer service and poor installation by this muffler shop I would strongly urge you to spend your money else where. And do not go with a knock off brand muffler, regardless of what they try to sell you on. read more

Horrible spot will never go here again and I don't recommend it for anyone at all . They ripped me off for 120 and didn't even install the headers on my Honda correct when they said they knew how to install them! The mechanic left loose bolts and the bolts that held the headers to the down pipe were put on wrong , he didn't even use a spring bolt , they don't know what they're doing here , he had put the screw straight through with no washers and put the bolt on the same side you screwed it in with no locking bolt to secure them , half ass Job. Well Anthony the man that we spoke with on Wednesday was the same man 2 years ago that worked on my car. Also I found out that it is still under warranty and your worker put a 6 cylinder CAT in a 4 cylinder car so your guy that works for you is a joke and does not know what he is doing and I have told people to stay away from your business as your work has no guarantee that the job is done correct the frist time. I dont care who owns advanced muffler now it is still the mechanic who did the job and again that is the man that works at your shop that we spoke to on Wednesday so say what you want ultimately Advance Muffler stings and people need to stay away from it. read more

I went to Advance to install an upgrade to my Tahoe muffler system. They told me that they had the muffler and that the tail pipe and exhaust pipe should be replaced with 3". Total cost estimate $250. I set a time for the next day so that I could get in and out quickly. I showed up at 8AM as scheduled with Mike. Mike wasn't there the next day but there was a book with my name in it. However, the guy that was there, didn't have time to work on it until 2 hours later. Probably when he was going to wake up or sober up. Fine, I'll come back tomorrow, or NOT! I went to Jerl's the next morning. Everyone was awake and greeted me in the parking lot with a smile. They had the Flowmaster made specifically for a Tahoe and had it installed in minutes. They explained that I didn't need 3" exhaust or tail pipe since my vehicle came with it and it was in good condition. Total cost, $175. Have done business in the past with Advance, and you never know how good you have it until you try somewhere else. Well, had a muffler put on at another shop (De Anza Muffler Service, 4398 Market St, Riverside CA), and, after only a few months, the front of the muffler cracked. Did not know that until it was pointed out to me by the staff at Advance Muffler. Told me they could repair it for $30, or, take it back to De Anza to see it there was a warranty. Went to De Anza but the employee, the same guy I bought the muffler from, couldn't even find the crack! Finally did see it, but, MY BAD,,,,didn't get a receipt when the muffler was purchased, so, no warranty. How to save as a customer anyway? Hey, repair the crack, don't care if it doesn't last, but help! Said all they could do was sell me another muffler with a 90 day warranty for $120. Well, back to Advance, and, after 10 minutes of work, crack repaired. Found out I could get a way better muffler than the one I bought at De Anza for the same price from Advance, with a lifetime guarantee! I know where I'm going from now on, and, gonna save up to get that lifetime guarantee muffler! Staff is way friendly, only bad thing, but not gonna mark down on stars is, GOOD LUCK IN THAT PARKING LOT! If it were possible to give a no star review.. I would. I arranged a meeting with the workers to drop off my car and have a stock exhaust manifold with a catalytic converter attached installed. This was on a 2007 jeep patriot. Since the vehicle is a California emissions equipped and CARB has not approved an aftermarket catalytic converter I purchased the converter myself from the dealership. I returned to the shop expecting to find the work at least started... no such luck. I had left the keys so it could be moved and found it still where I had left it. The guy on duty said he knew nothing about starting on the work. Finally an hour after the shop opened they began working on my car. I sat down outside the shop as they began to work. Originally they expected it to take two hours to complete... but they didn't know it was a four by four. One of the original workers, Dave ( who no longer works there ) had told me that the engine had to be moved and supported because of the additional items in the way. This was confirmed by others in the field from both a mobile mechanic and Pep Boy's. Instead much to my horror I heard the sound of a sawsall beginning to cut the old one out, which the dealership was going to return a $200 core. This did not scare me half as much as to see them do the very same thing to the new one I had just purchased. The work was finished about four hours later.... I must say that they stuck to their original price... however not counted in that price was the damage done to the fuel rail which they attempted to hide with an application of JB Weld and now has to be replaced so that the engine does not catch on fire and kill my daughter driving it. Upon paying for the"services rendered" they attempted to keep my core without giving me anything for it. I must say I have never seen a more poorly run organization and will never patronize this establishment again and I encourage others to look to Jerl's or any place other than here.
