I used to like them but they scammed my grandpa off. Came in for a concern for A/C blowing warm. Everything was fine until we got there. They said it was a sensor and "filled" his freon that was ALREADY FULL and he now owes almost $400 without a call or anything. Checked it out by another shop and guess what? Haven't used Advanced for big collision jobs. When I have been there, it's been for three issues, all of which were handled right away, very professionally and for a fair price. Tire issue -- No appointment needed. Quick plug of a leak for $20. Broken tail light -- Went in without appointment. They gave me an estimate and ordered the part from Subaru. When the part came in the next day, they called me, I brought the car over, the light got replaced, and the bill was exactly the same as the estimate. Thirst -- The vintage Coca-Cola machine inside this shop is worth a visit even if your car doesn't need work. Insert a dime, press the crank, pull a bottle. I think Advanced is a quality locally owned business that strives to provide good service. The location is convenient for me and three interactions have been entirely positive. read more

For nearly 40 years, I have been passing this auto repair shop, on Rt-108. The name and the flag emphasize "auto body" and, until today, I did not have a reason to go there. I had an ugly fender bender, and decided to stop here and get an estimate. The chief mechanic looked at it, and said they can fix it, in about 30 minutes, for the cost of labor. I came back a little later in the afternoon, and waited in the comfortable waiting room, with my laptop and used their WiFi. They fixed the damage in 30 minutes, at a charge that is so reasonable. Of course, now I realize they are a full-service auto repair shop; and I intend to use other services. If there were more than 5 stars to give, I would give this to AAB, based on the great experience today. read more

BY FAR THE BEST!! I have used Advanced Auto Body several times over the past twenty years. Ronnie and his staff make everything so easy. They arrange a rental to be there waiting for you and they handle everything with the insurance companies. There is no inconvenience to me at all. The wife attempted to see if she could complete more than four 360 deg turns on black ice. She didn't quite make it. But thanks to Advanced Auto Body the van looks better than brand new. The staff was outstanding, courteous, and very, very thoughtful. They found problems initially missed, brought back the claims people and repaired the vehicle the right way. I have used Advance for several accidents and have been beyond satisfied each time. I can not recommend them highly enough. You go there, they repair the cars properly, they work with the insurance company for you, and you do not have to worry. They are the greatest. read more

I took my car in for a bunch of work that it needed. Of course, cars being cars, it was going to cost me more than I can afford right now. The mechanic went over some options with me as far as what I should address now, and what could wait a while. During the the time there, he brought me out to the car which was up on the lift, explained in detail what needed repair and why, and showed me the stuff that needed fixing. I had to wait a little while for them to go over some of the options, and the owner came over to me and asked how things were going. We talked about my car and what I could afford at the moment. We settled on doing a number of repairs that would get me back on the road. Today I went to pick up my car. They came in a bit under the amount we had as a limit, and there was a credit for a few parts that they found they didn't need. Now they could easily have replaced those parts anyway, and I would have never known, but they didn't. That saved me around $100-$150. That kind of honesty is something you don't see much of anymore. They fixed my car, they were wonderfully professional, and they were honest. They also have me as a loyal customer if I need my car worked on. Great job Advanced Auto!! read more

Great work from a family run company. I have been a regular customer since moving to the area years ago. I had a large brush cutter with a nut I could not remove at home and was cruising the area to find someone who could remove it. Mike tried to get it off with his air wrench and when that did not work he tried a breaker bar that must have been 6 feet long. After that failed he heated the nut with a torch and tried the air wrench again. When that failed he heated the nut again and finally removed it with the breaker bar. He must of spent at least 40 minutes doing this and then would not accept any payment and that for someone he had never met! Their body work is second to none. I've had auto body work done here in the past. They're experienced and the work quality I can't complain about. While having some work done, I asked if they could install a trailer hitch for a cargo deck. A deck does not require lighting or wiring. The hitch itself is a $100 part. I asked if they had to cut into the underside of the plastic bumper to accommodate or if they could use the existing cut-out area. I double checked and was told both times that wasn't required. The quote was around $500, which to me was acceptable because I was desperate to get this done. I also thought the hitch was going to be very elaborate with multiple connection points to the chassis as I had seen online. The quote portrayed several non-descript parts that I assumed were part of this complex hitch "system." When I got the car, they had indeed cut into the underside of the bumper and slapped in the $100 one-point hitch to the bumper. It's solid enough. However, they had installed a wiring kit for a trailer (?). I had clearly stated I didn't need that in the beginning. My total bill was around $700 ... to install a $100 part and the wiring (that I didn't need)!! I had to go back and have the wiring removed and those parts returned. The owner had to find out if the parts were refundable, but this took a couple of months. I made numerous phone calls to determine the status. In the end, we made a compromise on the refund. In total, I still ended up paying about $400 for the installation of $100 chunk of steel hitch. Two stars because I neglected to get clarification on the specific part descriptions on the quote. Otherwise, one. Advice: review contract thoroughly. I think they're a well-meaning outfit, and as stated, their auto body work is very good. However, they seemed to have no patience when it was necessary to address issues. And, as stated, it took month and persistence to resolve the matter. read more

My car took a branch to the right front fender during hurricane Sandy. Not a big ding, but knew it was going to be costly, so I kept putting it off until rust started to become problem. I shopped around SK (2 others) and the salesguy here provided my the cheapest option. To fix and paint, it was going to cost an arm/leg. But they were able to find a used fender that matched my car and saved me hundreds of dollars. They were easy to work with and when I picked my car up they had detailed it! Nice surprise. read more

Terrible...terrible, kept my car over a month, never sent in information to insurance company so we lost our rent a car. Car runs worse now after they worked on it. Office girls held my car hostage and wanted me to pay a 500 deductable even when i knew it was waved. Extremely rude..Kj said car runs worse now had nothing to do with accident but it never sounded this way . They said they aligned it but i have to hold steering wheel tight because it sways to right.. spoke to manager who blewed me off....so believe me when i say this place will be a nightmare if you go here read more

I brought my car in for repair, specifically for a "wobbling" feeling and a tire that needed to be replaced. I also needed a general state inspection. I get a call from them that it would be $3000 to fix. Well the car is paid off so I asked them if I could get at least another year or 2 out of it after fixing all of the things they mentioned and if it would be all set for a bit and he said absolutely so I said ok go ahead. I pick up the car a while later and within a couple days notice it feels exactly the same as before with the wobbling. Called them they apologized and asked me to take it back in. I said ok and brought it back. After a couple of days he basically said he didn't know what the problem was and maybe take it to a transmission mechanic. Umm are mechanics not able to fix any part of a car? If I had known that I would not have come here and definitely not spent all that money. He ended up doing a transmission fluid flush or something which he charged me another $100+ for after telling me the $3000 would fix everything wrong. That didn't work either so now I'm out over $3000 and my car still doesn't fun right. I can't afford to take it else where at the moment because I gave them all my savings to fix it already. And a couple months on the supposedly new tire is losing air. Awful. read more

Brought my car in for a gasket leak behind the timing belt. The day after they replaced the timing belt it jumped the sprocket and my engine froze .Cost of used engine around $1200.00. They refused to take any responsibility for the damage saying it must of been caused by another faulty part.Asked many mechanics about this and they all felt the own-is was on them but they wouldn't bug. I had several conversations with the owner and others trying to get a set price for a repair. I was told it would be well under $500 but not possible to give me exact figure. Cost of repair: $500.43. ...not "well under $500". My bad and hopefully I learned my lesson. Next time, get it in writing. read more

Worst place ever I brought my car in for an evaluation because the coolant was leaking and, after almost 4 weeks of me calling and asking, they still had not completed the evaluation for me. On numerous occasions they promised to call me the next day and let me know what was going on and every single time they failed to deliver. I came in to pick up the car after three and a half weeks because I was sick of waiting and they still had not even completed the report. They then had the audacity to charge me $60 for an evaluation fee even though they never did anything. I am currently fighting the charge with my credit card company. The day after I had picked up the car they called me and said they need my VIN number. read more
