I took my car in for replacement of a door window. They promised to have it out to me by the afternoon. Later they said they couldn't get the glass until the next day. I called the next day and they said they couldn't find the window on the West coast, but said they were getting one from the East coast and shipping would be another $40. I called after another 4 days and they said my window regulator was broken and I could get it fixed with another $250 part. I went to the shop to see what they were talking about and saw that they had caused the failure of my previously functioning regulator while drilling out a mounting rivet. They refused to make it good, handed me my keys, telling me to leave with the comment, "F**k-off"...and even lost a body trim part. I want to echo the many positive comments made here. I have owned my BMW X5 for less than two months and took a chip to the windshield which resulted in a large crack which expanded about an inch a day across the entire windshield. I was stunned about having to replace a windshield on a brand new vehicle and very nervous about have the work done properly with the right glass and maintaining the ADAS functionality. After doing a LOT of research and working with my insurer, State Farm, I called Advanced Auto Glass because it is a preferred shop with State Farm and had a lot of good reviews. While my dad had scheduled for a different place, Advanced Auto Glass were super proactive and awesome by calling him back to see what better price he found! If I could give them 10 stars I would! Shelby, in particular, is great! I had a situation where I needed to get my rear window replaced. It was broken while vacationing in San Francisco. He wasn't able to get it in in time, before I had to leave the Santa Rosa area, but he gave me the specific model number of the windshield that I needed for my car and even went so far as to tell me what aftermarket windshield not to purchase. He cleaned out the glass from the rear of my car and taped up the window, in order to get home. Talk about amazing customer service for someone who wasn't even a customer! These Guys do a great job every time. I have had them do windows for four cars over the last 10 years or so. Made an appointment to have glass replaced. I live in a remote area and mentioned this to the staff when making appointment.. I couldn't stress it enough. I drove 45 minutes to the location for my appointment, waited 2 hours, then was told the glass didn't arrive when i went to pick up my vehicle. Bad communication between vendors and staff. I had a horrible experience going advance auto glass , 0/10 would not recommend. I had taken my car to get my windshield looked because it was leaking. The owner had me sign a work order for a leak test with NO cost on it. After calling another shop and getting a much cheaper quote ($150 cheaper) I decided I would take my business elsewhere. Also why do they need to do a leak test when I already told them it was leaking,there are water stains around the windshield and my car has no sunroof. They were taking advantage of me as a young woman that isn't familiar with mechanical issues. I called to confirm I was going somewhere else and now they are calling me none stop. I'm lowering my review to from 5 to 2 stars. About 3 weeks after they installed my windshield the rains started and I noticed the windshield had water dripping inside the car from the top. I brought it back to the shop and the manager there tried to tell me it was my sunroof that was causing the problem. I haven't used it in a year. I had to protest and got angry with him as he was an abrasive personality. Finally they got a very nice technician to check the windshield seal and he found some gaps which were causing the leak. He added sealant and it is supposedly fixed now. Took about an hour. I'll see how it works after we get another round of rains. Be very careful with this place and the manager. read more
