Pleas be aware that this company is way overpriced!! They came out Jan. 24 of this year having quoted me one price, around $200.00, to inspect and sweep my chimney. Once inspected, said it had creosote and that because of that it would be $325.00 and that my chimney was in need of Heatshield Cerfractory Flue Sealant. As far as the creosote sweeping, I foolishly paid them rather than tell him I needed to call around. I did check with others and was told they charge one fee for sweeping regardless if there is creosote. My bad. When I asked Advanced Chimney for a quote to do the sealant the cost was $3870.00!! And this was only for joint repair. You can look up Heatshield Cerfactory Flue Sealant to learn the 2 procedures. I called Lucky Sully Chimney & Seep and long story short, they sealed the entire chimney, not just the joints, with the Heatshield for a total of $2200.00. Please shop around before committing to this company. As nice as the husband and wife team is at Advanced, they are far too expensive if work needs to be done. If interested, I have invoices to back up my claims. read more

Great service from start to finish. The lady I have spoke with every time I've called is always very nice. Steve and his assistant came out when expected and did a great job with no mess. They were both very nice. The work was done well and in a timely manner. Steve even came out on a separate visit and kindly answered concerns I had about the fireplace walls and their safe function. What a phenomenal job that Eric and Shelby did! I promise I am not being hyperbolic when I say that they are truly lifesavers!!! Shelby was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough in setting our appointment and explaining the process. She was incredibly helpful and easy to work with, and made sure that the lines of communication were always open. I cannot begin to tell you how warm and friendly she was! In addition to her help, Eric was just as helpful and knowledgeable during the actual inspection. Again, they were lifesavers! During the inspection Eric found that there was a significant gas leak with our fireplace that was due to the builder barely finger tightening the fuel line leading to the ignition. Between this and an improperly sealed fireplace that was prone to having strong gusts of wind blowing the flame, it was a combination that could have led to tragedy. With how often we use our fireplace, this was very worrying to find out. We have had issues prior to the inspection getting a whiff of gas here and there and not knowing where it was from, to find out it was due to this, and that it was as simple as the builder not tightening the connection at all was incredibly aggravating. We were not even aware of just how bad things were without Eric fully explaining the issue and himself saying how angry he was that someone would do this in new construction. Overall we would totally recommend Eric and Shelby to anyone who has either a gas or wood burning fireplace. They are beyond thorough, helpful, friendly, and most importantly they actually care about their customer's wellbeing! That is a rare quality today. 5 stars isn't enough! read more

I hadn't cleaned my chimney in over 30 years and knew I really needed to get it done. I found Advanced Chimney Cleaning through a web search. I selected them based on the reviews I read online. I contacted them late one night through their web page and received a a detailed response the next morning. I was then able to talk to the owner to explain what I thought i needed done - I have a wood stove insert in my fireplace and wanted to make sure they could service it. I was happy they could and that they were able to meet my schedule for the clean up. Steve, the owner, and his helper Matt came on time and explained what they were going to do, They set out a protective covering in front of the stove/fireplace for their equipment. They worked quickly, efficiently, and were very willing to answer all of my "dumb" questions. We found Advanced Chimney Cleaning via Yelp. Not knowing an awful lot about fireplaces, we wanted ours inspected and cleaned before we used it. All communications were very easy via Yelp messaging. An appointment was made and Eric came out to our house to perform the inspection and cleaning. He was very professional, wore shoe covers when entering our house. Very tidy and polite. I am absolutely devastated! He came out today to do a simple dryer vent cleaning, the end result is so much damage to my vent I need a contractor to come rip my wall out to replace it, my dryer will not dry clothes now! He shredded the vent hood as well. I sent him a photo I took two days ago of our horse next to our house, the hood over the vent was in perfect condition, you can see it perfectly in the photo. He's taking no responsibility at all, I'm stunned! Anyone who uses this company is crazy, he's so dishonest. I've never in my life experienced something or someone like this. I'm beyond stunned! Take note we used this company last year everything was fine. Make me an example! If you've used them before and everything was fine that guarantees nothing because look at what I'm in for now. Update 4-28-2020 due to COVID-19 we went along with quarantine life using our dryer assuming there was still airflow movement through the vent and we could deal with this mess when life goes back to normal, big job ahead re-venting! Come to find yesterday after calling a service company out when our dryer started burning then lost all ability to heat, they open up the dryer front and find EVERY PEICE OF LINT since the vent was destroyed, massive completely impacted with lint that was suppose to be pushed through the vent (they apparently destroyed not damaged!) was being forced back into the dryer (those are the words of the dryer service experts) they said the vent has no airflow at all! It almost started a fire and then shorted out the heating element in the dryer. This has been a nightmare! EVERYTHING COMMENTED BACK FROM THIS COMPANY (Eric) TO TRY TO DISCREDIT ME IS A LIE. I couldn't even read through most of his fabricated rambling. I WOULD SWEAR UNDER OATH IN A HEARTBEAT THAT I TOLD THE WHOLE TRUTH NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH SO HELP ME GOD. I've never experienced such dishonestly in my life, he should be ashamed! He sadly changed the way I look at all service people that we use as my trust is gone. Excellent customer service, from the get-go! Shelby was up-front when I called to make an appointment, explaining they were booked for about 3-4 weeks. Eric and Steve were running a few minutes late, but I received a call from Shelby in advance of the appointment time. Both guys were friendly, professional and very experienced. In addition to cleaning the stove/flue, they use a camera to inspect the pipe all the way to the chimney cap, looking for any installation errors or signs of aging. Very happy with the company's service and quality of work. Earlier this year Eric came out to inspect and clean our chimney. He pointed out a safety issue that needed to be addressed. We were in the middle of remodeling our house that we had just purchased and had to finish with what was on our plate. Then the pandemic hit and just put everything behind... So, finally we were ready (many months later) and we were impressed how they just looked up our address and picked up right where we left off, like it was yesterday. I couldn't be happier with going with Advanced Chimney to install our new fireplace. I reached out to them over a year ago for an initial Chimney sweep and unfortunately our fireplace was not safe to use. I didn't second guess the initial inspection at all. Eric gives off a trustworthy, caring, and family type of guy and obviously safety is a priority to us so we went without a fireplace during our first couple winters. Almost 2 years later we were finally ready to deal with our replacement fireplace . The team was able to pull all my original visit info and schedule team to come out as soon as they could to get started. Shelby was the main contact and she was an Angel to work with. Amazing people all around! We just bought our house and I don't think our chimney or dryer vent had ever been cleaned since the house was built in 2004. I had originally scheduled just a chimney cleaning. They where here on time and explained step by step what they where going to do. I expressed my concerns about my dryer vent because my new energy efficient dryer was not being very efficient. Without hesitation he went and checked it and showed me pictures of what it looked like inside and it was not good. So I asked when they would be able to make it back out to take care of it for me, and he simply said "I can take care of it right now for you." Wow! Was not expecting that! Such kind guys and funny. I called with a few questions I thought sound silly but the lady who answered was so wonderful about answering everything. She was super friendly and let me just ramble on and never once sounded impatient or irritated with me. I have a tendency to be a talker and she just went along as though we had been friends for years. I love that in customer service. It is a very hard quality to find in people nowadays. Shelby followed up with a phone call the day before to remind us of our appointment. Again, I put my foot in my mouth, and she completely took it in stride, never missing a beat, acting super sweet and bubbly. I thought my son had told me it was my hubby on the phone who literally had just left the house not 30 seconds prior, so I answered the phone with "yea" instead of "hello". Immediately after we were done confirming the appointment, I apologized up and down but she acted as if it never even bothered her. Love that!! Eric showed up promptly at 2pm. Talk about being on time!!! He was extremely polite, professional, and just like his wife, friendly. My husband and I felt very comfortable with him in our home (and so did our 2 dogs, who are very picky with strangers). I called Advanced Chimney because I was selling my house and I wanted to make sure my chimney was in good working order prior to selling. Amazing company. Called last week and made an appointment for today. I wasn't home yet but my dad and my son were and let them in to begin inspecting. I arrived home to find one of the men giving gloves to my son so he could "help" him. It was awesome to see and my son loved it. Then as we were sitting there, the man (who I can't remember his name, sorry!) said, "Come check this out kids." They didn't want to go, so he pulled out two red squares and said it looked liked Santa had been here. They LOVED it! So personable.
