I've been with ADS for several years to date. Each month there seems to be minor problems which are quickly fixed. This month July has not gone well. My first call was telling me my shipment has been canceled because my doctor isn't part of their system, she is and has been. I contacted my doctor stating the problem and she contacted them. I next got a call telling me my supplies would be on a two or three day turn around. Today I'm back at the beginning. I really don't understand what's going on. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. For more than two years they have sent my diabetes sensors so late and by mule train mail that I have to go more than a week without being able to check and treat my diabetes with the correct amount of insulin for lack of any more working sensors. Now it has gotten worse. Now, even with a new script just for them they have failed to send me ANY sensors for more than 2 months. I tried calling them. They never pick up the phone, and you cannot hold on the phone. They simply disconnect your call!! read more

I have been using a Dexcom G6 CGM device. I have been getting false readings on my current device. I have been authorized by my insurance company and have a prior authorization code from them to get a new device and upgrade to the new G7 CGM device. Advanced Diabetes Supply is refusing to send me a new replacement device until August.? I may as well go back to using my trusted Johnson & Johnson One Touch Verio Flex Glucose Meter. It gives correct readings. My advice to anyone with diabetes that is thinking of switching to the Dexcom CGM system think about it very hard and long before you switch to the CGM system. Shortly after my post I was called by Ariana from the quality control department. I was in the middle of work so she left me a message and her number, asking me to call her back to discuss my situation. This was on February 18. I have called the number back at least five times. Every time, it rings six or seven times and then I am told the mailbox of the person I am trying to reach is full. So I am unable to leave a message. The customer Service department at this company is virtually non existent. You call several times a day and day after day and it is the same.... HORRIBLE!! No one ever answers the phones , rings until there is a recorded message! leave a message , forget it, they never call you back. I have sent 3 emails to their customer service department and no returned calls! I need to speak to Someone there that can give me answers I do not know how they stay in business! I think they should be reported to Medicare for their incredibly poor and unprofessional business ethics and poor patient relations. Every diabetic supply company i have ever used sucks. Flat out sucks. It's a business and they are at the mercy of the insurance companies which is a ticking time bomb. I would say half of the people i talked too in the ten times i called them cared. And I'm sure they really wanted to help. The other half were robots and could care less. If they only knew the stress they were causing to these parents that are only trying to get diabetic supplies so their kids can live a somewhat normal life. They need some training on that. I called today to check on my order, AGAIN and they were like "ok we can ship today!" I was like "well I'm glad i called" lol. I've had a tandem insulin pump with them and I was always running out of supplies for my pump and my dexcom. Now I'm switching to omni pod and I've been getting the run around since March. Last week I finally received some supplies from them but I was told I wouldn't need certain things since I have a smartphone. It turns out I do need these things to set everything up. Now they are telling me it's my fault. They don't care about anything other than getting paid. I highly recommend going elsewhere if possible. There service is terrible. read more

I am type 1 diabetic using insulin pump supplies. My insurance requires me to use Advanced Diabetes or pay a higher price for all the supplies. I CAN never get the "Pump dept" on the phone. One day I held for 47minutes and finally hung up. When you finally reach them, they will tell you the product is ordered and will be shipped but you frequently must call multiple times over several weeks before you finally receive the supples. I have run out of supplies before and had to go to using syringes until they arrived. For some reason they have a website that says you can order online but when you go in and try to set up an accounit won't allow you. HORRIBLE customer service! read more

ADS made it easy to get the CGM, once someone at Costco identified them as the go-to company. Until it was in their hands, I thought I might never get it and I was doomed to stick myself many times a day to manage my crazy diabetes. I've been trying to get my CGMs for 5 weeks!!! I qualified for Financial Aid which allowed me to get future orders for free, but they put a hold on my account because there was a balance, so no CGM's. After 7 phone calls, and very rude Customer Service/Billing People, they finally released the hold. It went to shipping and shipping put another hold because they billed the old insurance and not the new insurance. Not my fault, but I'm paying the price. I talked to shipping this morning and was told they now have to get an authorization from the new insurance! I was told a week ago, they had received an authorization!!! Terrible service. Been using them since June. 6 months and they are totally incompetent. You get put on hold and picked up by a new person 3/4 times before getting answer. They are using a script, don't understand anything if you ask a simple question. In 6 months I've been sent wrong insulin because they didn't have what I use!!! Mixed up my sensors twice. This last time have not bothered to send a return label and won't cancel so I can go elsewhere​​. Told me the return has to go before a review board which might take 10 days making me without sensors for 3 weeks so far. I'm going to file an action...anyone want to join? read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I started using ADS back when dexcom stopped direct supply orders. They were great for a time period but it seems that management and outsourcing oversees became present. I have been in an auth battle with ADS and their team for nearly two months. My endocrin has sent off three referrals already and ADS still has yet to process it but I like many others have been told it will only be one more week, another day. I've been dealing with 3 different supervisors for over 2 months. ADS has a policy of sending out 90 days worth of G7 sensors every 93 days. Are you kidding me? I've spoken with Medicare and apparently ADS is billing them every 30 days, but shipping every 93 days. This leaves me 3 days without monitoring every 90 days. If ADS has a problem with Medicare billing they shouldn't solve it by making it my problem. Ana, Michelle and Daisy are very polite, they listen but nothing gets done. This company is negligent and delays shipment of important medical equipment. Since July, I have been told excuse after excuse why my supplies weren't shipped 1. No authorization, which was a lie, I had a physical copy of my authorization and sent them a photo copy. 2. No actual prescription from my provider, another lie and three way called with my endocrinologist 3. There were no shipments being made because their entire system was down ??? 4. There was no actual dexcoms they could ship out to me when the last week I called and spoke to someone I was promised it would be shipped the next day ? Oh and fun fact, all of these ^^^ were told to me over the course of a week! I've sent emails, I've spoken to supervisors, and there is no solution. This company is negligent and just expects people with chronic issues to just be okay with their life supporting medical supplies to be delayed weeks at a time? It's not acceptable, and I've contacted outside sources to rectify the injustices this company has done to MANY as noted on their Yelp reviews. Fix your business model and do right by your customers. ADS' sister company, US-Med, had been supplying my OmniPod 5 insulin pods for a short period. All was smooth - until it wasn't. With my current shipment not showing up on time - and me, with less than a week's worth of pods left left, I called US-Med and they informed me that they were no longer able to ship to California. No plan B was offered. Not even an apology. I sent them an email telling them that to do that to a diabetic patient was unconscionable and unprofessional. Within hours, I received a solicitous response from Josefina Martinez from their "quality" control dept, assuring me that she'll take care of everything. Whenever I'd ask for assurances she'd respond with a military-sounding "Yes SIR!" Very convincing. Again, until it wasn't. She offered to move my account from US-Med to their sister company that could deliver within California, Advanced Diabetes Supplies. Me: Are you sure this will work? And fast! Josefa: YES SIR! Josefina called me regularly to assure me that things were in motion. Those pods never showed up after 3 days past their promised date. Now without pods and back to injecting insulin again, I received several calls reviewing my same information... name.... Address.... Insurance.... Then they finally told me that they were unable to ship the pods til I paid a $500 copay. I explained that their sister company asked for no co-payment, that they accepted Medicare as payment in full. "Not here", I was told. I called Josefina for help. Crickets I paid the $500 to buy time to find a company that would take Medicare payment as payment in full. Again, I was promised that the pods would ship immediately. Did they ship? Guess. Right! I called for an update today and was told that they "accidentally deleted" the order! And that they'd ship them out immediately. That meant tomorrow. We are in October and I have not had supplies since late August. Again...same problem. They are waiting on my doctor and my doctor has send all the paperwork over. This company is just ridiculous to deal with. I tried to order refills of my sensors on 1/26 like normally and they told me that they would like me know if there were any issues. I had not heard anything or gotten any shipping details by 2/1 so I called them, it turns out there was an issue. My prescription had expired but I guess that's not enough of an issue. I have been calling every other day to check and all I'm told is "the pharmacy needs clarification and we will call you by end of day with more details. It is currently 2/9 and I have talked to five agents and there are no additional details, they are still confused about my prescription, according to them my endocrinologist does not give details to them and I have yet to have anyone call me back. I called this company on Friday 4/25 and on the first call was told the endocrinologist had failed to fill in the change frequency date and I corrected that immediately. I called ADS again to verify everything was OK. I called again to verify the supplies were being shipped and I was told that I would receive a phone call back from the same person and not to worry. I never received that call so I called for the fourth time and was told I would receive a tracking number either Friday night or Saturday. Nothing was sent. I called this morning , the 28th and was on hold for roughly 20 minutes until a female who would not give me her name on CSR ID with the worst phone connection I have ever witnessed so I asked her if she was in another country, she said no, she is in Carlsbad. she confirmed the supplies have been shipped and I actually got a tracking number. A total of 5 phone calls generated by me that is inexcusable and I never had any problems whatsoever when I got my supplies from Edgepark. good bye ADS. read more

UPDATE: Advanced Diabetes Supply is blessed to have ROSE! She reached out to me and let me know the company is addressing the shipping issue, and, a new shipment of my father-in-law's diabetes supplies were OVERNIGHTED! He recv'd them a short time ago while we were there visiting. Rose also set me up with the ability to get refill notifications via text, which will really help with the busy schedule I have and I don't have to wait for my father-in-law to notify me. My father-in-law finally has his diabetes testing supplies. THANK YOU, ROSE! I'm not sure what's changed with Advanced Diabetes Supply, but it isn't for the better. I ordered supplies for my 88 year old father-in-law on 9/6. He recv'd 4 boxes of test strips and nothing else. I called to report this error on 9/10, but business was closed. I called again 9/12 and was told by the Rep that since Advanced Diabetes Supply was now a medical supply company (? What was it before?), that my father-in-law's prescription would be arriving in multiple packages from different locations. ??? He went on to say 200 test strips was normal for a 90 day supply (new normal, apparently) and that 100 lancets would be arriving by 7pm that day or Tuesday via UPS. Not true, no delivery ever arrived. Now my father-in-law is out of diabetes testing supplies and cannot test his blood sugar. I called ADS Wednesday, rep emailed me the tracking number and said the balance of his supplies would be delivered that day by 7pm. Again, no delivery, but this poor man is waiting past 7pm, watching out the window for the truck with his lancets. It is now Thursday and he still does not have all of his testing supplies. I tracked the package and UPS states "Mail Innovations is not a day definite service. Please select View Details to view the Shipment Progress for transit details." I checked Shipment Progress and last update was 9/9. UNACCEPTABLE. And what can I do but wait? My father-in-law has been a customer for YEARS, but this kind of service cannot be tolerated. I will call his doctor today as we are desperate for a solution. UPDATE: 9/15/22 - 88 year old diabetic still without lancets or control solution. Advanced Diabetes Supply Rep Hugo promised supplies would be overnighted for delivery tomorrow. I recv'd an email from ADS stating lancets had been shipped but tracking # was "invalid" per UPS.com. Spoke with Rep Jose, lancets we're shipped 2nd day air, but no control solution. Rep Jose is sending out another order of the control solution, but told me we didn't need it and most diabetics don't order it. ? Rep Jose was also unable to track the "overnight" shipment and was only able to tell me it was shipped 2nd day air YESTERDAY. I said, "I spoke with Rep Hugo TODAY." Can anyone tell me where I can get my father-in-law's blood sugar checked? He's 88 years old and his primary care physician is closed on Fridays. UPDATE: Delivery date changed AGAIN. Still no supplies as of 9/16/22. I can't order supplies from anywhere else unless we pay cash because Advanced Diabetes Supply has exhausted his Medicare coverage for this prescription. read more

The day the shipment is set to go out I call and am told it cannot go out and they do not have everything they need. Now no one in customer service will return my calls or help me out. I recently recieved the Dexcom G7 and I truly regret that I did not apply sooner. This device is a life saver. The application process was so easy and they are extremely efficient. From start to finish was only 3 days and my device was on my arm. So easy to set up. The customer service representatives are very kind and do what they agree to do speedily.
