The dealership said I needed an alignment so I looked around for places to call for a price comparison. I chose Advantage Automotive because the price was right and it is close by. From first speaking on the phone with them, I felt my business would be welcome. While I was there, the staff was friendly, the shop was immaculate, and the owner was nice enough to show me his woodworking shop. Bottom line, they showed me the results that said I did NOT need an alignment! They did charge me for the time they had the car, which was perfectly reasonable. I highly recommend them. read more

Well this was my first experience with Advantage Automotive and had an unpleasant surprise on my bill. The repair required 2 items which came from NAPA with a retail price $308 each. Today was the first time I've needed to use Advantage Automotive. Phone and in person conversations were most pleasant and made me feel confident in their knowledge. My car received its diagnosis and I was referred to dealer for a TSB issue. This is the cleanest automotive repair shop I've ever been inside. The service bays were actually not dingy gray but light and bright. Waiting room is huge, plenty of seating , loads of magazines and coffee if desired. Staff was most welcoming. Great group of guys here. James and David were very courteous and friendly. We needed our dash a/c repaired in our Winnebago and these guys fixed up in one day. Worked with John and Sharon to identify an oil leak that valvoline found a couple of months back. John looked over my vehicle and found some potential culprits, but advised not to change things until we knew for sure. We decided to try out this mechanic shop instead of taking it to a dealership, and we are so glad we did! We took our vehicle in on Tuesday afternoon, and it was done by Friday. David was super friendly and helpful, and he was very honest and upfront about what we would be paying. We have a 2007 Itasca Sunrise that has had trouble with the dash air conditioner for years. We lived in Alaska and though we had tried several times to get it fixed while visiting the lower 48 (not much need for it in anchorage), no one was able to successfully repair it. We are now living in the RV traveling the country and needed to have it repaired. I found Advantage Automotive during a websearch and the first thing that impressed me was a photo of the shop! It was so clean! I read their statement about air conditioner work and made my appointment (from Portland where we were having our motorhome windshield replaced....those damn Canadian roads and one truck driver going too fast). Anyway I spoke with John on the phone and right away felt confident in my decision to chose AA (Advantage Automotive). We meet with John and James at our first appointment and they are the nicest people. They explained what they were going to do, offered to show us the shop and said they would do everything they could to make sure we had the MH back for the night. Well they did. We had it back. The AC worked. They looked it over for other problems and advised us of a recall we had on the brake calipers. We already had another trip planned so made an appointment to get that done on the way back through. Well unfortunately we only got to use the air conditioner one time. It stopped blowing cold air again. I called John (spoke with his lovely wife Sharon) and told them about the AC. I just wanted to make sure there was enough time scheduled during the caliper replacement to work the AC again. They told me no problem they would look at it again. Well we got there for the second appointment and they found a part they had replaced had broke. They replaced it (no cost to me) and apologized for the trouble. They found another issue (which they suspected might have been an issue when they first looked at it, but didn't want to run up the bill when they weren't sure....it wasn't registering as a problem on their machine) which meant we would of had to stay another night so they could work on it the next day. And as it would be, we needed to get on the road so opted to have it fixed on our next trip through in January. So you might be thinking to yourself as you read this 'why would you give this place 5 stars...you had to go back and its still not fixed?'. I'll tell you why....good old fashion customer service and their honesty....that is why!! They are great people to work with and work hard to fix the problem. John and James went out of their way (though I have a feeling it is just their same work ethic everyday ) to show us the bad parts, explain what they were doing and calling us when they found a problem. They never just let the bill run up. They told us along the way what needed to be fixed and gave us an estimate for the repairs. No surprises. So we have found our go to guys!! And if you decide to use them, which I highly recommend, and you're there in January.....I just might see you! read more

John and James at Advantage have been incredibly helpful ever since we started employing their services 3 years ago. They are experienced, honest, and work with you to perform the most appropriate repair depending on the age of the car and the size of your budget. I am so confident in their ability and integrity, my daughter deals directly with them all the time now, even when she is out of town. If she needs car service while away at school, she calls Advantage up first to make sure the work she is getting done makes sense and about right cost wise. Just the other day, her electric window was not working after a battery change at Walmart. Walmart told her that her window was broken and she would need to get it repaired - a quick call to John and she was able to reprogram the window and all was good. They also have gone above and beyond during our purchase of a used car. Their knowledge, troubleshooting capability and personal connections throughout the city ensured our purchase was appropriate and the dealer was not screwing us over. I learned of Advantage from two friends of mine who praise these guys all the time.
