I made an appointment at 0900 to have transmission and differential fluids replaced. The guy tells me he only has one guy that can do the work and he has 3 other jobs before mine. This was not a very personable employee. Why do you take appointments if you can't take a customers vehicle when scheduled? I tried to get my car fixed under my warranty at this Firestone. They had my car for a week, excuses of the part didn't come in & then they strip a screw & couldn't get the job finish. Their tech leaves literally whenever he wants. When I dropped my car off the tech had just left to take his daughter to school. They opened at 8...it was 8:10. I should have left like the lady wanting to getting her oil changed. After they finally returned my car the check gauge light was on! It wasn't like tht when I dropped it off! I went back & was given more excuses. They wanted me leave my car there again, because of course the tech wasn't there. I believe they were just messing with stuff to break it so they can have a claim to fix it. I will be taking my car somewhere else to see how bad they messed my car up. I don't knw if all Firestones are like this but this one absolutely sucks. read more

My family has been going to this location for the past 10 years, they recently had a change in management and it has become an absolute mess since. Both me and my sister dropped our cars off for simple oil changes early in the day, with appointments. And neither of our cars were touched by closing time. I called ahead to ensure this east side location had and could install 4 new tires in my vehicle. Well, they didn't have the tires in stock at this store when I arrived. I am sure the message was conveyed that they would, but they only had them in the Rio Rancho store which added an hour to my drive/wait. The acting manager called ahead for me to decrease my wait time. He was very professional and offered to have someone bring them to the east side, but again, the wait. He also offered discounts on future services. Cool, despite the disappointment. Four stars because I've dealt with them before and this manager who just came on shift was very willing to solve the issue, but my automobile requires hard-to-get tires. Had an absolute nightmare of an experience here. Brought my car in for a simple oil leak fix, they ended up breaking my exhaust line, and my o2 line and despite telling me it was their fault 5 minutes before realizing the o2 line would need to be replaced, they tried to tell me it wasn't their fault and that "these things happen at the worst moments". I stood my ground and told them none of this was an issue when I dropped my car off and that they literally JUST told me it was their fault and the guy said "we can't say for sure because there's no way to prove it one way or the other." They also kept my car for 4 days longer than when my appointment was scheduled for despite them assuring me it'd be done the day of the appointment. I called everyday to see if it was finally done and they said they hadn't even looked at it yet because they were under the impression they'd have it all week. I only ever said I'd be out of town and would be having my partner drop off and pick up the car and asked them to change that impression or note each time I spoke to them and they never did. When I brought my car in for the final time to get the o2 line replaced, the big balding guy at the front was incredibly rude and condescending. He spoke down to me and acted like my being there for my appointment was the biggest inconvenience of his day. Though I will give credit to the tech whose name I think is Jordan, he was at least nice when he spoke to me. read more

I've reviewed other vehicle repair facilities before, and I think the same perspective remains; that's that it's hard to remain fair in these situations. Let's face it, we're usually not happy when dropping hundreds and hundreds of dollars on our vehicles when we'd rather be dropping those same dollars on summer fun. However, as we all know, vehicle maintenance is a necessary evil. So, we obviously want to try and sweeten up that evil a bit, if you will. I give you, Firestone on Juan Tabo! Very clean & professional, nice cordial employees and service & products at a fair price! Maybe not brother-in-law fair, but as fair as one can expect from a commercial establishment. We did not time things well and ended up needing a new set of tires on both of our primary vehicles at the same time. After comparing several prices on the internet, Firestone was right in the mix price wise. Then after calling and getting down to pennies & cents, they did us a solid. John, the very nice young man who seems to be running the show, pulled out the extra discounts to make the large pill easier to swallow. The tires I wanted for my truck were not in stock, but they ran across town to pick them up and were ready to install when we arrived. Naturally there was an up-sell attempt of a few other products and services, but with a very polite and professional approach. It was nice, and easy to say "No, not right now thanks." I really cannot say enough about how easy it was dealing with these guys. I know they offer other services besides just tires, so I think I'll start using these guys for future needs, and I think all of you should too. read more

HORRIBLE!!! DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME! I went there because my truck was misfiring. What I didn't expect was how cold, rude, and disrespectful I would be treated by Byron and Brian. Byron told me that "he WASTED the past hour and a half on my truck." He said that I need a new engine and it would be $10,000, which is crazy because my truck only has a little over 142,000 miles on it, but he didn't want to bother discussing what happened nor my options from there on out. He just said that "he was going to put my truck back together because he has other cars to work on" as if I'm worth nothing. If I could rate a zero star I would. I took my car in three times because it was over heating, I even stated more than once the fan was not working properly; it would cut off when I Idled and only then would it overheat.I paid for an inspection to be done, they return it to me and said nothing was wrong. The car was still overheating in the afternoon. So I took it back two more times same result. Then they tried to charge me almost $700 to basically replace everything that "could be wrong "( Fan, Thermostat, Electrical ) instead of actually doing their job. I took it to a family mechanic, found it was a f$&*ing fuse that blown that only cost $10! Thanks Firestone for wasting my f$&*ing time and money. read more

My family has purchased many tires at this store, but no more. They refuse to honor their warranties. My husband and son both had cars in for a realignment that was all under their warranty. They refused service. Our tires were 7 years and the warranty said 10 years for service, but they refused to do the work. They told my son he needed new bearings which he did. He went back and they still refused to honor the warranty. Once they sell you tires and you are out the door they void your warranty. Never go there again read more

Don't ever go to this location. We went in to have our front right brakes looked at. They did a full brake inspection and gave us an estimate of 422 for repair--we opted not to have brake fluid exchange as it would have been another 100 bucks. Well into the job and well over an hour later we were told that we would need to pay an additional almost 600 dollars! Now, which part of "full brake inspection" or "estimate" did we misconstrue? At no point did anyone say, "The estimate for your brake repair may actually be 100% less than what actual cost might be. I am 58 years old, have owned at least 25 vehicles. and have had brake jobs done many times. I have never seen anything like this! This is some Third World, shaky shit, folks. Don't go to these guys...we'll never go back again and I would advise you to do the same. read more

I had posted a review earlier regarding this business and rated them 1 star because I was very unhappy with the service they did on my headlights. I contacted the store and spoke to Miguel and explained my problem and complaint. What a surprise, Miguel understood my problem and very promptly refunded my money. All the while maintaining an excellent attitude. He made feel as though I were a multi thousand dollar customer rather than the $83.00 that was refunded. Late Saturday afternoon and of course my "tire light" comes on- my dealership has closed, Discount Tires closed for some meeting, my husband is getting hungry (uh oh!!)!! I keep driving down Juan Tabo and Glory Be!- there's a Firestone place and they're open 'till 7pm! On a Saturday!! I'm helped the second I walk in the door by a lovely young man who says he'll take a look at my troublesome tire- immediately! (And there are many others cars being worked on!) I pull up to a bay, he checks the tire- even lying down on the pavement- and says it doesn't appear to have a nail, fills the tire back up, checks and adjusts the air in all the other tires, checks the acting-out tire again even getting me to move the car so he could see around the entire tire- declares it ok! Doesn't try to sell me anything- just says if it gives me anymore trouble, bring it back and they'll check further. After I asked, he said I didn't owe them any payment! Hey, Guess where I'll be buying my next set of tires...?!! read more

I had my light engine on and decided to go to Firestone as they were the closest around and I thought such an old company would do a good job. It took for ever for them to diagnose the issue and then the $1000 repair was revealed. I had gone there before for a basic inspection and I had heard that number before for struts replacement that I didn't think I needed and which I didn't do. The intake manifold had to be replaced, this time around. I asked why it couldn't be fixed and they told me immediately, no. So, because I'm new in town, I paid $99 for the diagnose (!!!) and had to comeback next day to leave the car for repair. I should have made my search, but at the time I didn't know the name of the part and simple thought it was what it was. When I delivered the car I got the part name and made my research. 12 mechanics in Albuquerque would honor a budget of $220 to $260 to repair the issue! I was furious with myself and even more with the rip off I was undergoing. When I got to the shop I asked for the part invoice and was shown one for $423. Firestone would add $300 on it as their profit, claiming that it would cover a 12 month warranty on it. A warranty for $300!!! I was charge $933, because they made me apply for their credit card (28% apr) and was promised a 10% discount. They wanted to give me 5% only. I complained and the manager gave me the 10%. Anyways, I believe I was overcharged by at least $200 (if one considers that from those $300, $100 is enough to pay for the warranty and some profit) read more

Finally a car care place that places customer care over making money. I brought my car here for an alignment because it was shaking like crazy. They took 2 days to solve the problem (it wasn't an alignment problem) and didn't charge me a dime for it in the end. WAY better than Midas or Brake Masters or any of the other car care places. read more

I used to love coming here but recently, every time I go for something simple like a tire change or oil change, they come up with an array of stuff that supposedly my car needs which is inaccurate.
