I decided to hit up the opening day for Dutch Bros right next store and realized I could sip away on my drink while getting my oiled changed here. The crew slid me right thru the doors and got busy immediately. They performed the standard lights check and then worked the oil change. I'm pretty certain I was in and out of there in no time. I've never had a good experience at this location. I don't know why I bother. Every time I've gone it's something. I don't trust these people. I went this afternoon for a top off. I recently got my oil changed at the Meanaul location. I have the new sticker and thr receipt in my glove compartment. I told the attendant and he ignored me. E started interrogating me and c typing in the computer. I told him I'm a long time customer and he said he couldn't find my name even though I saw it on the screen. I've taken three cars there and my daughters car. My brother quit going because he said they are too unreliable in customer service. They didn't check anything! I told them I might as well leave and I did. Why this location is even open is beyond me. I've read reviews of incompetent service and bad attitudes so why bother! These guys are always great. They're always honest and check my car for other issues just because. Kindness is key here and you can feel it. My sticker for printed wrong and they didn't just go ahead and change it, they let me know it was wrong and just topped me off. RIPOFF!! THIEVES!! I went to the Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Juan Tabo today with my 2007 Honda Ridgeline that has only 50,000 miles on it. I pulled in and told the technician that I wanted a basic oil change. He told me the price would start at $89.95. After recovering from my shock, I asked him why so much and he said that it needed "special oil." I told him that it did not and that I leaving. He said okay. I went down the street and got it changed at Brake Masters for $29.95 with Valvoline oil. I contacted the Valvoline Instant Oil Change chat to file a complaint. At first I was told that my truck required synthetic oil but when I quoted from the owner's manual that it did not, she agreed and said that basic service should have been $49.95 before any discounts for readily available coupons. Up to 5 quarts Valvoline oil, oil filter, free maintenance check is promised for the fee of nearly $50. I had a coupon for $7. The maintenance check may have been performed but they never told me. My wipers needing changing, all dried out. But they never told me. They never mentioned anything about the Jeep. They just wanted payment and to send me on my merry way. So now I'll have to get it checked again at the Valvoline shop on Montgomery or go back to jiffy lube. read more

TL;DR: They drained all of my transmission oil and double filled my engine oil on a 2014 Subaru Forester and didn't catch it when I immediately turned around. I went on 7/18 to get my oil changed on a 2014 Subaru Forester (which is not a special car by any means, there are thousands in ABQ). Immediately after pulling out of the oil change my car made an awful noise and was jerking so I went right back in to have them look at it again. I was told "everything looks fine, maybe it's your tires." My car drove just fine into the oil change. I ended up taking it to the Subaru dealer that same day because my car was bucking and making terrible noises. Turns out the techs DRAINED ALL OF MY TRANSMISSION OIL AND DOUBLE FILLED MY ENGINE OIL. I called them afterwards and they agreed to reimburse me for the "oil change" and the work Subaru did. They promised it would be within 5-7 days after I email receipts from Subaru and all to the manager of that Valvoline. I emailed him the next Monday and a month later still nothing. I talked to the main customer care who say they never received anything from the manager. Don't go here. I had my oil changed once before at a different Valvoline and was very pleased with the quick service but they have lost my business for life because of this very fundamental error that is oil changing 101. I am very unhappy with this Valvoline and how they handled their basic and potentially disastrous mistake. read more

I d like to start of by saying that, I'm not a big fan of yelp because people can post any type of review but after my initial experience with Valvoline Instant Oil on Juan Tabo and Mountain, I had to post a review These people are ridiculous, to start a service was 89.99$ when Jiffy lube gets me a full service out the door priced at less than 60$. Now if the service and the hospitality were on point I could actually see paying that, but when you pull in to the Juan Tabo location, the lady that was inputting the information into the computer was extremely rude so that explains why there is barely ever a wait. I thought it would be convenient to go there because it is close to the house but the reception I received when I arrived was extremely off putting and I will never consider getting a service done there ever again and I will recommend that nobody go there unless they like to be treated horribly and then to say the skid plate is mangled? I don't think so, but your mechanic said if it came off he may not be able to get it back on? There were zero issues with Jiffy lube and I think people should go there it was a world of difference from the start read more
