Never again. Chose this service based on Yelp rating and wanted to support a local business, but very disappointed. Once the carpets dried it was obvious that the high traffic areas were not well-cleaned. Learned that his work is not guaranteed. $220 later for 3 rooms and a hallway, I would absolutely not recommend to anyone. In response to the owner's response, no pet urine on my carpets whatsoever. The technician saw the condition of my carpet and spoke very loudly about how bad my carpets were (hmmm...maybe this is why i called him to clean my carpets....duh..) it was very embarrassing because all of my windows were open and his voice traveled through out my apartment complex. I decided that he wouldnt be cleaning my carpets today. If he had come at a different angle or tried to negotiate without making me feel badly about my carpet maybe we could have worked out a deal.. At the end of the day its about customer service and he did not show me that respect when he came in to my home. Instead he came in very judgemental. Not a good experience at all. I called Frank at advantage carpet care with some urgency for my pet emergency. (pet stain) Frank gathered all the required info regarding the stain so he could show up and get busy and produce the best results with no hang ups. After we discussed my needs for this situation and I was able to receive an immediate appoitment within the hour . Frank arrived even more timely than that (GREAT SERVICE) and was ready to tackle the problem. He had all the things readily available to immediately begin work after professionally introducing himself and informing me that because I called immediately after the accident he would be able to be real successful in the stain removal process however he did inform me that stains are stains and he couldn't promise me the world. This I recognized as being real professional believe it or not . In the past I've had experience with people that will tell you all the things you want to hear then well only fall short. However in this case the results ended up being more than what I was initially assured they would be and I was esthetic to the degree that even though I didn't need the rest of my house carpet to be cleaned since it was only less than a year old, I went ahead and had Frank clean them re scotch guard them and sign me up on a regular maintenance plan. My neibor called while he was there me to ask if I liked the carpet guy that was at my house and I couldn't say enough about him, needless to say she came over and booked an appointment with him to service her carpets as well. I believe a great carpet cleaner is the same as a great barber or contractor, once you find the 1 stick with them. They learn your needs and expectations and deliver accordingly. A week ago my washing machine became unbalanced during a load and resulted in a hose coming loose. This caused the washing machine to drain water out onto our hall carpet and leak from the second floor down through the ceiling to the first floor. I needed someone to come out right away to dry out the floor, ceiling, and carpet before mold started to settle in. I did a yelp search and came across Advantage. I spoke with Frank who is also the owner and told him what was going on. Frank came out about an hour later assessed the damage and went to work right away. Frank was very professional and honest. He showed up at the scheduled times and always called ahead. He cleaned up behind himself and once the work was complete you couldn't tell anything had ever happened. Got a coupon from the mail. It looked like a good deal. $110 for 4 rooms and a free hallway. When Frank (the business owner) arrived, he told me the free hallway is only good for 7 feet. What??? When he got his equipment into my house, he seemed like he was in a real hurry and didn't want to spend much time on doing a good job cleaning. The man didn't want to move any furniture at all, not even a light lamp! After "cleaning" the rooms, I still noticed the carpet was dirty. I told him it's still dirty and there are still stains. He tried to clean it again, but said that is a different service and that we agreed on steam cleaning the carpets. He blamed the dark stains on the carpet along the edges on our air ducts! If this man was actually a professional, he would have looked at the carpet and told us that taking the stains out would be extra or that he can't do it. Isn't that why people like me want to get their carpet cleaned; to get the stains out? Duh. And what's even more strange is he cleaned the carpets wearing his shoes! Frank had a real attitude and did not like being told how to do his job. He complained about how customers try to get him to do extra work and said something about ordering a cheese pizza and then later asking for toppings on it. When he was leaving, he told me that pleasing his customers is his number one priority. Well, he sure complained a lot while "cleaning" the carpets. i had a water heater die and leak water along the concrete slab into my den, soaking my wall-to-wall carpeting. I'm a disabled, semi-senior woman and really did not know where to turn. After getting ripped off by the plumber who installed the new water heater, and then receiving only adequate service from the company I hired to pull up the carpeting and pad to dry (they seemed more eager to tear into my walls, even though there was absolutely no evidence that the water had even risen 1" in the storage closet where the heater is). This company told me I had to hire a third company to lay new padding, stretch and reinstall the carpet, and clean/sanitize it. I saw Frank's great reviews on Yelp and called him. Not only did he come out the same day (while the fans were still blowing) to assess the situation, he gave me a very reasonable estimate and came back today to do the work. He did a great job: professional, prompt, did exactly what I needed (including moving furniture back into my den) and, as I write this, I'm back to normal. I even found out that I could have called Frank to do all the carpet work, and saved myself the second company. Live and learn! I don't often write reviews but this time I am so impressed with the work of Advantage Restoration that I have to tell others. Last fall we adopted two puppies - a beagle mix and a Siberian Husky. We suffered through many dog messes for the first winter. Not just the obvious puppy messes but chewed up ink pens, garbage dragged out of cans and left to stain carpet. It was, in short, an awful mess. I rented carpet cleaners and did my best to clean up. By spring I had 6-8 spots that were outrageous - the stains had spread and discolored. 2 areas had an awful smell that I couldn't get rid of. Today Advantage came in, and while he didn't make any promises, he did say he could make the stains and odors better. When I came home a few hours later I was absolutely delighted. The stains were gone. Not faded - GONE. The odor was gone. It was wonderful. I really thought we would be replacing the carpet through out the house. The fee was $221.78. My brother made the mistake of picking a random carpet cleaner off of Google, as I was moving out of a house just a couple of days later and in a hurry. Advantage Carpet Care has a great receptionist, who gave a prompt and fare quote of $130 to clean 2 small bedrooms and a loft (which we explained at length over the phone). However, when the cleaner came to our house, he gave a 30-second glance at the place and a new estimate of $200, which he said was because of the difficulty of getting the hose up to the loft (which was already explained to his receptionist/wife over the phone). Since I was moving out of state THAT DAY, he had me in a bind (which he knew, as I said that carpet cleaning was the last thing on my to-do list before hitting the road). Then he insisted I pay him in cash instead of a check, which meant I had to make another trek the day I was moving out of state. I came and returned from the bank in 1/2 hour, and he already finished the job (so, that's about $400/hour. Pretty good deal for him). I should also note that he was dramatically huffing and pufffing from work he presumably does 5 days a week. The job was so-so (plenty of stains remained), but the killer was that the carpet was still wet after he left. The reason I sought a professional cleaner was after doing research about molds that form from the carpet cleaner machine rentals you get from the store, which I didn't want to leave the new tenants with that risk. So the entire operation was a complete waste of time and money, and I would recommend you do your research before hiring a carpet cleaner. read more

Because the level of professionalism and honesty they displayed from the receptionist on the phone to the tech who actually did the work was the best and most satisfying I've ever experienced. I have to confess, with three kids, a dog and a cat, my carpets were pretty dirty with some nasty stains, plus I had a mildew issue in a bedroom. When the tech arrived he was very up front about what he could accomplish for the advertised coupon special. He quoted me additional pricing options to tackle some of the more soiled areas and the mildew. The added price was fair and made sense, so I agreed. I have to say this tech was truly dedicated, worked very hard and clearly knew what he was doing. I was amazed at the amount of dirt he removed from my carpets. When he finished I was very pleased with how clean and fresh my carpets looked.
