My father passed away suddenly and I found myself needing to liquidate his estate. His primary residence was a manufactured home. I did some research on what I thought would be the current market value of the home and then began to enlist the help of a Realtor. I spoke with the park management and they referred me to one commonly used Realtor that was heavily used in the park. After my initial meeting with that individual they proposed a selling price $70k below what I thought was the market value. I then came across a Realtor from Advantage Homes, Ms. Cathy Bucalo. She was so extremely helpful through the entire process. Cathy is well versed on the process of buying/selling manufactured homes and has a strong pulse on the market. She instructed me on what needed to be done to the home in order to get the home listed and communicated with me throughout the process. Two rooms and two ceilings needed to be completed with drywall. The master bathroom was in its original 1976 condition and the guest bathroom was completely gutted. Cathy found a buyer and completed the escrow flawlessly. When Cathy took the listing she told me that it was going to be without photos. I almost nixed the idea but went along. This has been the worst real estate transaction in my life. I have purchased a few homes and was a real estate agent for a few years. I found the mobile home for sale on mhvillage.com. I contacted Cathy Bucalo and she told me that I could go see it without her there. Owner would let me in. I loved the home an decided to make an offer. Owner and I met Cathy at her office next day. She allowed he and I to negotiate deal with little input from her. Escrow opened. She had me come to her office at her convenience to sign docs. I had to leave to work to accommodate her exercise schedule. We made several appointments to view the property together, but something always came up, like a reservation for to see a movie, and we never viewed the property together. Now that escrow has closed, and I have mostly moved in, I have discovered serious issues that previous owner did not disclose and some that he concealed. She and her broker have offered no support whatsoever. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. To this day, Cathy has never been present in my home with me, despite several appointments broken or missed by her. She comes across as a caring ally, but did not deliver whatsoever. I don't feel as if she represented the buyer well either. I have a serious case against him for non-disclosure and her only comment is to "keep her in the loop." read more

On 9/20/15 I had an accepted offer on a mobile home which Cathy Bucalo represented. On 9/21/15 my wife and I met at her office to sign a purchase agreement and to write out a $500 check to open escrow. In our meeting, she stated that another person was coming to town to see the Mobile Home we were purchasing the next day. Since our offer had been accepted she had a legal duty to get our offer signed by the seller. Instead, because of her obvious greed and unethical business practices, she chose to not only open escrow but at the same time hold back our purchase agreement to be signed. The other person did come into town the next day and offered $12,000 more than our offer. Of course we very upset and all Cathy said was "Please know this was nothing personal". What does that mean? That I shouldn't take the fact she was deceitful and unethical and that screwing me out of my accepted offer was not a personal thing? This is clearly a person who will NEVER have your best interests in mind. It is however, very clear that her greed rules over everything else. Her taking responsibility for her actions would mean that she would have to agree that she is deceitful and unethical as a business person. Obviously that will never happen. To conclude, if you want to do business with a deceitful and unethical agent then Cathy Bucalo is a perfect match for you. She'll make sure her interests come first before her client's interests. Since she simply is incapable of seeing a clean deal go through if she can get more money in her pocket, she is definitely the person you want as your agent if you enjoy being deceived. We were looking to purchase a mobile home. We had met with a different realtor on Saturday and they were nice enough, but certainly not engaging to what we were interested in.
