The property was steps from a beautiful golden sand beach with the most amazing snorkeling. Walk south a few yards for easier entrance to the water and prepare to be wowed! So much coral teeming with fish. On our last morning there we also saw 3 eagle rays, several turtles, an octopus and a couple eel. Just magical! Maui Resort Rentals had great communication prior to and throughout our stay. Most answers to questions were just a click away. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. The owner of Unit A 201 might want to reconsider their choice of property manager as they are not being well served. Chase N Rainbow did not return calls or emails once an issue developed. In effect they went MIA. To the extent they did communicate verbally once I was able to locate the General Manager, she did not follow through on what she said. Further Chase N Rainbow has now reneged on their agreement to reimburse 10% of the rental cost, notwithstanding email communications confirming same. Their word is not their bond. I appreciate other reviews are generally complimentary to Chase N Rainbow. Perhaps upper management has recently changed. Perhaps they had a bad week. In any event tread carefully in your dealings with Chase N Rainbow.

Rented two separate units at the golf villas. KBM themselves do not own these properties - just…read moremanage them. That being said they're responsible for identifying issues with maintenance of the properties - fixing them or having owners fix them. They have failed in both units. Upon entrance of BOTH units they had an old home, musty/moldy smell. One unit had 4 mismatched cups, a less than fully equipped kitchen and a fridge door handle that was not properly screwed/tightened down so that the arm could be turned about the fridge like a faucet. A chair at the dining room table had a complete hole in the back wicker. Hardly the five star property they advertise. The air conditioning vents had visible mold growth on them. By day four we all had swollen eyes and it lasted for days. DISGUSTING!! The Other unit was just as bad but also had ants that ate their way through all the dry goods we just brought in the unit the night before. A request for service for the ants went completely ignored! The one time KBM did respond was when we asked for one unit late check out time to store our luggage as we had a 9pm flight. Very quickly they responded offering one hour complementary or up to $400 to leave the luggage there until 4. What a shame. I was furious I didn't even respond other than for them to rethink their response given the poor condition of the properties. DO NOT STAY HERE OR WITH KBM properties at golf villas. It appears that since the course closed down they no longer care about these properties or their reputation renting others' properties. Such a shame. UPDATE AND RESPONSE: As I did mention - KBM is a management company. Part of being a management company is ensuring the properties are as listed. If not it is the management company's role to either force owner to make appropriate repairs/provisions or not take the listing on as a client. I live in Key West Florida. I know tropical conditions and bugs. Excusing obvious mold and active ants based on the climate is the problem with KBM - no accountability. Their response is exactly why I made this review. It's indicative of the attention they gave the properties we rented before and during our stay. For clarification - The villas are in the BAY course. The BAY course is and will remain closed for the foreseeable future. The staff at the pro hosted they have no timetable on IF it will reopen. The Plantation Course (a few miles away) has reopened.

With that you can take advantage of the 4K TV to enjoy some movies but that is not the reason we went to Maui. Neither my wife or I were distracted by the construction taking place nearby. The workers say they play music by the pool too and it's only this group of owners who complain a lot. Oh and they give you dirty looks too. We booked our stay at The Whaler through Costco. The units they offer are managed by Aston. We…read morebooked a Premium Ocean View Studio and receive unit 915 in Tower 1. The unit was pretty well appointed but the owners must be quite tall. The toilet is really high and my feet dangled several inches off the floor while using it. The jetted tub was hard to get into and the bed was rather high too. If you are petite like me and get this unit, you will have to contact Aston to get a change, the front desk can't help you. Maybe we should have done that, but we arrived after Aston was closed for they day and once unpacked we didn't want to move the next day. Our unit did not have many electrical outlets and no USB ports. Luckily we brought along an extension cord and USB power adapters. The unit was equipped with standard plates, glasses, utensils, blender, toaster, coffee maker, stove, microwave, refrigerator with ice dispenser, and dishwasher. Kleenex, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, one package of laundry soap and plenty of bathroom towels. The grounds are well maintained, gardeners were trimming and sweeping most of the day. The lobby has hot coffee urns in the morning and delicious pineapple iced tea in the afternoons. The location is fantastic, steps away from the beach, next door to Whalers Village for shopping, right along the beach walk. We didn't use the pool but sat by it once chairs became available in the late afternoon (there were lots of chairs but even more chair hogs.) My husband did use the hot tub and reported it was quite hot. The pool area has coffee in the mornings and iced tea in the afternoons. I used the fitness center a couple of times. There were dumbbells of many weights and other great strength training equipment. There were also treadmills, ellipticals, and exercise bicycles. Water and towels were provided. Overall, we feel we made a great choice in booking The Whaler.

Dump your own trash, etc. So for this type of rental, it's top notch. Here's why: The location is perfect. 5 min walk to Whaler's Village. Only 20 min walk all the way to Black Rock, the furthest beach away in the cove. Quick drive out to Highway 30. Easy, and I mean easy access to Lahaina (south) and Honolua or Kampala Bays (north). Choose if you want to shop grocery at Times or Safeway, same distance. Really perfect location. Our apartment was incredible. It didn't face the ocean but that's ok. They have some that do, or the pool. It was huge. Nicely decorated and clean. Lots of space. Two bedrooms and sofa bed. Foosball table. Beach stuff to borrow and even a wagon to haul stuff. Parking garage right there. Always found an open space. Bell hops were helpful and friendly. They got nice gym, clay tennis courts, swimming pool, hot tub, and BBQ grills. All well kept. I could go on but why? It was great condo to stay.
