Okay! I was terrified of the trip I booked after reading the reviews on here, so I just wanted to share my experience because it was great and I am sooooo relieved!!! They were a sponsor of the Maui Marathon, which is how I found them. Firstly, all the communication was very clear and timely! I received texts regarding the door code & parking pass instructions in advance, I received a note regarding the place before we arrived (the dryer was broken, and they said they would help if we needed to make arrangements), and I was provided with maintenance contact info. I actually DID reach out because the tv remote was not working and they came by first thing in the morning (on a Saturday) to replace the batteries and show my mom how to use it. The guy was kind and professional! Secondly, the place I stayed (Valley Isle) was better than the pictures!!! The beach was beautiful (we saw a turtle the first day!) & the apartment was clean. That's the only part that I was super nervous about; I asked over the phone if there were any pest issues and I got the generic "this is a tropical island....we do regular pest control but cannot promise anything...." response. We were super diligent about cleaning & they kept all-purpose cleaner in the kitchen along with big spray. But, we actually only saw two bugs ever one day during our full week there (and they weren't even big and scary). I normally wouldn't even put that but it was such a major concern for me & I suspect others, too, that I wanted to mention it was seriously no big deal at all. Lastly, the price was great! We arrived in Kaanapali to stay at another resort and fell ill after the first night due to perhaps mold in the AC mini split system. We actually moved our mattress onto the lanai and slept a couple more nights until a monsoon rain. We found a rental at the Outrigger for about the same price per night through MPP and what a huge difference! It was clean (no dirty carpet - all hard surface flooring) and the support staff was so awesome! The views were far better than imagined as well! We HIGHLY recommend Maui Paradise Properties for their professionalism and customer service! read more

From a vacation goers perspective, they are a horrible horrible property management company and definitely cast a dark cloud on the end of my recent vacation. Their "24/7" customer service texting option for problems is simply designed to delay any and all needed repairs until after your departure date. Have a problem? Sure, text them and get gaslighted. On site service manager shows up? Have that person provide an inappropriate level of self-disclosure then misrepresent everything you said to them. Then they text with an intentionally vague offer of compensation, and, when clarified, is unilaterally determined and woefully inadequate. I'm sure from an owners perspective these tactics are great and profitable; however, there are 2 aspects of property management, and from the renters perspective it's just bad. Don't ruin your Maui vacation - I'd avoid any of their managed properties. UPDATE: Challenged a portion of the bill through Amex...their response to Amex? We offered him [the aforementioned unilaterally determined and woefully inadequate] good will compensation...basically saying what do you want from us? Please BEWARE of this rental company. This joke of a management company does not care about you if something goes wrong in one of their rentals. They will stall and make you feel like you're crazy for complaining. Trust me, I am the type of person that always would rather leave good reviews. This was such a bad experience that could've been a great one - I'm hoping this review will help steer other guests towards other rental companies and other rental units. Maui Paradise Properties does not deserve your business, and there are many other options. I hope that no one else has to suffer thru the same experience we had. We stayed in Unit 36G5 at the Kapalua Bay Villas in Maui, right next to the Montage Kapalua. We booked via VRBO. This was such a bad experience for us, due to how the issue was handled by Maui Paradise Properties. The AC for the unit was not working from the time we checked in. It would work for 2 - 5 minutes, and then an error message would appear every time. It was very humid and stuffy from the time we checked in, and every time we returned to the unit. We informed MPP on the morning following our check-in, which was met with very slow responses and a total lack of effort to resolve the issue. We spent two days of them asking us to troubleshoot the problem - however nothing worked. It wasn't until Day 3 that they sent someone to look at the AC, and we were met with a ludicrous response that the vents were actually blowing cold air. If this were true, why did the thermostat constantly say it was 77-82 degrees inside? (we have several pictures). It was so insulting and upsetting to be met with skepticism and ambivalence of the uncomfortable situation we were living thru on a vacation. It's almost as if MPP previously knew there was an issue with this AC unit and that nothing would fix it. That's how their handling of the situation made us feel. read more

MPP went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent stay, and that we did! They emailed out the instructions well ahead of our trip and checked in with us throughout to let us know if we had any questions, that we could reach out to them. The property was in immaculate condition. Very clean, very welcoming, super quiet and the a/c worked wonders. The view was spectacular as well! We accidentally broke a power strip cord and they were extremely gracious in providing us with a replacement very quickly. The experience booking through MPP was great. When we arrived in Maui we had four hours to kill before check-in. To our surprise we received a text message our Nāpili Point condo was ready 2.5 hours early which was great because it gave us an opportunity to drop our stuff off and hit the beach early and squeeze in some great snorkeling. Throughout the stay we got regular messages checking in to see if we needed anything. Unlike other reviews our unit was clean and had all the necessary items. The only I think I wish they had under the sink was some surface cleaner but it wasn't a game changer. We also got a message letting us know about an approaching tropical storm which was great because we have a tendency to unplug ourselves from the news and work. read more

Lived in a rental managed by MPP. When we moved out, they kept $1000 from our original deposit. No receipts, invoices, or proof of the reason/s why they withheld. Only AFTER we complained, they gave a sketchy explanation. This violates HI Landlord Tenant laws which require receipts and/or invoices showing the amount deducted from the return deposit. We pointed this out but they couldn't have cared less. We were going to take them to small claims court, but we had an illness in the immediate family that included hospitalization, so were busy with that for 6 months. By the time we were recovering, we had only 3 months in the year that you have to file. We ended up not fighting as we just didn't have the emotional bandwidth at the time. Geof Cummins is who we dealt with. I wouldn't trust him or them and suggest you do not either. If you look at their reviews there are more 1 star reviews than any other rating! And they all say the same thing - once they have your money, they don't care .... they are just money grabbers. I hope they choke on our $1000. Bachi! read more

We wanted to post our wonderful experience @ Kaanapali Shores #613 that we rented from Maui Paradise Properties. The booking reservation process was super easy through Maui Paradise Properties. We enjoyed our Stay to the fullest!! The shores is right on the sand in Kaanapali Beach with an excellent view from the lanai!! This is a two bedroom, two bath that was decorated with an Hawaiian beach theme furnishings. The kitchen is fully stocked with upgraded stainless steel appliances & all the cooking supplies if you chose to cook. There are beach chairs & ice chest for use in the closet. The shores is walking distance to Java Jazz Restaurant, Slappy Cakes, the food truck lot next door with many food choices. We walked to The Farmer's Market for healthy(extra good fresh prepared food) & acai bowls & Bad Ass Coffee is next door. The unit was completely sanitary & ready for our use. It has a super location right near your parking & just off the elevator! We took a photo of Kaanapali Shores from the ocean on our Hula Girl catamaran snorkel cruise. Highly recommend the Hula Girl catamaran cruise. read more

Nightmare experience with this company! Avoid! After paying a premium for what was advertised as a luxury property, we arrived to a dilapidated condo overrun with bugs and with countless broken and/or filthy items (windows, rugs, washing machine, door locks, wall paintings, etc.) Upon complaining, we were offered the equivalent of less than one night's stay in compensation, but later realized they had no intention of actually following through with even that paltry amount. After taking an initial call, they then ghosted us, ignoring repeated calls and emails asking for status. (I see at least one other review describing the same situation, so clearly this is a thing for them.) We then reported them to the BBB, but even that gets the same protracted treatment, at the end of which they ultimately acknowledge they're not going to refund you a dime for your awful experience. Plenty of better properties and property managers in Hawaii. Maui Paradise Properties might be the worst customer service I've seen. read more

Look no further for a great place with excellent attention to detail and amazing customer service which were among the bonus features of our place we rented on Maui. (Kaanapali Plantation 11) First off, I booked this place about 2 months out from our time and didn't feel we paid enough for this beautiful unit in Kaanapali Plantation. All of our activities were on the Kaanapali/Lahaina side of the island so it was great. Located so close to many places to shop, eat and enjoy activities. (golf, beach, swim, boating) Our unit had 3 bedrooms and 3 baths which were perfect for our girls group of 6. It had a full kitchen set up and honestly, we didn't have to bring all the small items we thought we needed. We stayed for 4 days and really could've been just fine with the items they stocked for us instead of bringing them. Things like shampoo/conditioner, soap, lotion, coffee, spices, games, etc. We had planned on cooking in the condo every night and it was easy to do in this kitchen. There was enough cook ware, settings, serving dishes, glasses (for every kind of drink) and storage. We sat on the lanai for every meal and didn't miss a sunset or occasional rainbow that came along. The views were breathtaking. There are no units directly behind you (just the golf course fairway) so the views were expanse and unobstructed. Each of the bedrooms were comfortable and roomy. Although the unit has central air, we opted to turn that off and open up everything with the nice breeze there was. Parking was next to the unit and with a small 2 minute walk, we were at the pool. Additionally, the unit came with a good supply of games, beach chairs, beach cooler, and beach towels. As for the company we booked this through, (Maui Paradise Properties) I can't say enough. Owning our own Real Estate/Property Management company on Oahu, I feel that my standards are pretty stiff. So, when I say that this company made me feel special and responded to my inquiries via email and text messages, you can believe me when I say that they were ON TOP of everything. Oh, did I mention a beautiful welcome tray was awaiting us in our unit? Complimentary items and a lovely note to say "enjoy your stay". That was a nice touch and part of what I call the "Aloha Spirit". I was also in touch with Kellene at Maui Paradise Properties who helped make some recommendations on where to eat, shop and activities. She was so sweet and always responded so quickly to my messages. I appreciated her! We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider booking with this company again, hands down. We were scheduled to stay in Lahaina, Maui this week at a VRBO hosted by Maui Paradise Properties. Unfortunately, Lahaina was completely destroyed due to wildfires. About 100 dead so far, utilities non functional, no cell service, roads closed, emergency proclamation in effect begging tourists not to come, etc. A complete devastation of the area. Maui Paradise Properties originally promised to give a full refund for the booking when I talked with the reservations department, but has since only refunded about 75% of the purchase price. They are tacking on junk fees like an "administration fee" and "processing fees" as a way to keep some of my money. Most VRBO hosts completely refunded their guests as it is the right thing to do in this situation. There is no way to even get to the destination. Now I have no choice but to tell everyone what happened and I'm probably going to have to do a chargeback on my credit card because they're trying to screw me over. I would avoid this company in the future - there are many others on the island. Support a company or host that does the right thing, not some greedy investors who are trying to screw over their customers in a natural disaster. read more

It's very unfortunate that after being advised by the Island and authorities of a natural disaster the property in Lahaina still will not refund and keep "admin and credit card fees". As a customer who's never visited Hawaii I'd like to share the unsatisfactory customer service received by Maui Paradise Property and will never refer as a future business to support. Update (7/15) - I got a call from Kevin at 3:37 pm and was told they canceled the rest of my trip and told me to be out by 10:00 am tomorrow. I was told that he didn't read my review because he "doesn't do that" and said that I made derogatory comments to his staff. He told me I "shot myself in the foot" and now I'll "know better". I was upset, but I was not disrespectful. To ANYONE. The best option on Maui was $269 a night for an RV; everything else was $500+ due to last-minute and weekend rates. So I ended up having to books rooms in Oahu and get new flights. Bottom line, they said they would compensate me specifically for the inconvenience, reneged, and canceled my room. Thanks, MPP. This is clearly retaliation for my review. I DO NOT RECOMMEND - I know it's long, but you should read this review. Know that I am a very active Yelper. I've been on here for years and if you look at my reviews, you'll see that I've only ever given seven one-star reviews. Out of over 100+ reviews, 88 have been four (35) or five (53) stars. I've worked in foodservice, hospitality, and multi-family residential housing for 25 years. I'm not one to throw out bad reviews for no reason. I like to give good reviews because customer service is HARD. So just know that this review is truthful and blunt. If I could give zero stars I would. 7/13 They EMAILED me 2.5 hours before my check-in time that I could no longer stay in the unit I reserved. (See photo). I didn't see it (was traveling) so I arrived at the location and got a call to the ROOM saying 'we've been trying to reach you all day". I didn't have any missed calls and with as responsive and communicative I had been in my Airbnb messages, it absolutely astounds and baffles me that when I didn't reply promptly, someone didn't pick up the phone and call my cell (they specifically asked for my number before I arrived). I am then told that the tub is still not safe. This info was left in an Airbnb review that they HAD to have seen on 07.04.2021; I reported on 07.09.2021. I was told that the tub would be addressed that weekend (see photo). I tried to check in NINE DAYS later and they still didn't have it fixed; on top of that, they knew it wasn't going to be done and only gave me 2.5 hours notice. Since we couldn't stay there, they put us somewhere else. We had to drive 20 minutes to a different location, far away from where we wanted to be. Someone was parked in our spot (and never moved the entire stay) so we had to park in the very limited guest parking and haul all of our suitcases and groceries (for which I'm now out well over $100 because of what they ended up doing). We were provided the wifi info in the email, but there was no network under that name. I reached out and was told the front desk would help me, so I drove around looking for a front desk. It was nowhere to be found. So I went back and sent an email; I'm told to reset the router, which I did and there is still no network. (See photo). I have one bar for reception on my cell phone and can't connect it to use it as a hotspot for my laptop because there's not enough data coverage. This place is the opposite of walkable, like the place I originally reserved. This has been extremely stressful and inconvenient. While I can say that this unit is nicer aesthetically, that's not necessarily what was important to us. I booked the other space due to walkability, amenities, proximity to the specific beach/restaurants, and shopping we wanted to be at, and so on. I'm now having to spend 40 minutes round trip in the car and paying for additional parking at the garages at Whaler's Village for three days and we're missing all the cool amenities. I came here to enjoy a nice relaxing vacation (40th birthday) and this has been stressful. It is not my fault or responsibility. I asked for them to be reasonable and refund me for part of my trip (like they said they would, (see photo). I'm supposed to check into the new room 7/16 and they called me back 7/15 at 1:22 pm and said that they can't afford to lose any money so I can leave and find somewhere else and they'll give me a partial refund, or I can deal with staying at the condo with no compensation that they put in writing that they would give me (again, see photo). It's Thursday mid-day and the weekends are the MOST EXPENSIVE nights to stay anywhere. I'm a reasonable person, but their failure to maintain the unit and ensure it's habitable shouldn't be my problem. This is not a good way to conduct business and I'm floored that they chose to respond this way. They could've offered to cover parking, gas, time spent, etc., but they chose go back on what they put in writing that they would do because I expressed dissatisfaction. read more

RENTERS BEWARE!!!  We looked at many properties and finally found one perfect for us, My sister and I rented this property over a week ago for our stay in September! We put down the deposit and everything was set.  we received our confirmation email and were so excited!  A week later we received this email from Maui Paradise Properties and Mr. Jeff Newton Property Manager!  Needless to say that we are outraged that they have now increased the nightly rate after we were already in a rental contract with them.  The fact that the "owner" will not honor these rates is absurd.  Also, Maui Paradise Properties has handled this situation very unprofessionally and both MPP/John Newton and the owner are unethical, unprofessional, and very dishonest! We stayed in condo #2521 at Kapalua Ridge for 8 days in October. It was a true delight from awakening to the sound of birds chirping in the flora outside the bedroom's lanai to feeling "Wowed" while entering the living room with it's gorgeous views of both the golf greens, trees, fabulous blue ocean, and island of Lanai beyond! The condo was impeccably clean, peaceful and quiet. While the unit has air conditioning, we never used it due to the soft breezes that flow at times from the open doors on the lanai. Being on the 2nd floor, we felt safe leaving windows and doors open to let the breeze in. The sunsets are spectacular to watch (see photo) from the main lanai. Kapalua Bay's charming nestled beach is a short walk from the condo (approx. 8-9 minutes) where one can rent paddle boards, snorkel, swim, turtle watch, etc! We loved this beach! The beach chairs and umbrella the condo provided were helpful and if you don't want to walk or drive to the beaches (Oneloa & D.T. Fleming are also within walking distance), there is a free shuttle service that the Kapalua condos provide to take you to the beach, restaurants, and stores within a certain radius. The condo was well appointed with everything we needed. We were comfortable with the king sized bed and the ambience created by the charming details. Like the artwork in the dining room says, "Visit Lahaina", the quaint town within a 20-minute drive. Having a swimming pool and BBQ facilities just steps away was great for that evening swim or dinner. There are lovely walking paths to various beaches, and also paths along the neighboring Montage Ritz Carlton, to the Honolua grocery & gift store, golf courses, and several restaurants (try Merriman's Happy Hour!) Writing about it makes me wish we were there now. We're looking forward to booking #2521 with Maui Paradise Properties in the (hopefully) not too distant future! ALOHA! BEWARE! Do not rent through Maui Paradise Properties. We Just arrive home last night from a terrible trip to Napili Point B5 managed by Maui Paradise Properties. We have stay on the island over 15 times and this experience was unimaginable. While other units managed by Napili Point onsite property management were pristine our was like a horror movie: - upon arrival the shower was covered in mold - their was a giant dead cockroach in the kitchen and in the food prep item cabinet has a silver care tray covering several roach killing products - the kitchen sink rack was coated in black mold - the patio furniture was covered in food - the air conditioner smelled of mildew - the top sheet un master bedroom was dirty and had something red smeared on it - the bed was very old and uncomfortable with polyester sheets - all sliding closet doors where off their tracks - the patio screen door was torn and fell off the track - the cable did not work - over all the unit was is not maintained there is peeling paint, it is dirty, moldy, smelled when the aircondictions where running as if mold was blowing out. My husband in now sick from the mold. When on vacation one does not want to keep calling for maintenance workers so I bought bleach and cleaner. I could write more but done spending time this horrible experience. NEVER AGAIN! COMPLETELY RIPPED OFF BY MAUI PARADISE!! TODAY I CONTACTED MAUI PARADISE AND REPORTING ALL ABOVE AND REPLIED WAS THANK YOU FOR LETTING US KNOW. WE WILL BRING TO SERVICE MANAGERS ATTENTION. WOW!!! read more

Extremely disappointed with Maui Paradise Properties. I booked a unit through VRBO and read the reviews. Based on the reviews, I reached out to ensure the complaints had been addressed and rectified. I was assured my MPP the issues had all been resolved. Unfortunately, they had not. Not only we're we without hot water in the shower for 5 days, but there was also a bathroom ceiling fan on high that you cannot turn off. Another issue is the air conditioners are broken, yet it's something they are charging a premium to have and it's not provided. After a few days, we were brought a portable air conditioner. Then, I had to continue complaining to be moved on the 5th day. 5 days with no hot water and they finally move us. We had to arrange showers at locations friends and family were staying at as we were not a priority of MPP. Jeff offered to move us on the 2nd day and then it didn't seem important until I reached out to VRBO. He also offered a refund for the inconveniences, yet he has ghosted my about the issue. Sent a text and email and have not heard back. This situation put a huge damper on our stay in Maui. We weren't just on island for vacation, but it was also my wedding. To experience this along with wedding stress is completely unnecessary. Especially when I reached out to ensure these issues were resolved. read more

We did have a bit of an issue with the lock on the door but they were helpful and responsive. So much aloha from this company! We would definitely use again and the unit Mahana 1202 was absolutely perfect for our stay! The view was incredible and the complex quiet and relaxing. I had the best staycation in years, at the Lahaina Shores #209. Born and raised on the island and I havent had time to enjoy my island Maui. This unit had everything to make your stay comfortable. From AC's, the decor that was newer and had everything to make a nice meal, the property that was well kept (with very nice staff) and the best Sunset from the balcony!! 3J - KOA Resort - Maui Paradise Properties, Kihei, Maui. We booked our Kihei, Maui property well in advance and the strategically taken photos made the 3 bedroom appear like a nice place to spend Christmas with our family. MPP emailed us twice stating if we didn't pay our balance in full our deposit would be lost and we'd loose our booking. Both times we shared our payment in full receipt and they responded it was a computer glitch. Upon arrival we found the unit extremely dated as though not much had been done since it had been built in the 80's. The unit was not clean, note pictures of the fur growing on a bathroom fan, electrical boxes broken, drywall roughly patched and a gap in the patio door covered with plastic garbage bags. We contacted MPP regarding there not being a parking pass for our rental car to which they text several times that we needed it our our car would be towed. We explained there wasn't one and they stated a service member would be in contact. That never happened and we eventually found an on site manager for the facility who provided us a pass and when he asked who we booked through and we told him, "MPP" he stated "no wonder" and explained the parking pass they were telling us to use hadn't been in existence for over 5 years. Great holiday but we would never stay at this location or book with Maui Paradise Properties again. We contacted them with photos and problems we'd experienced but were only told they'd advise the service team and cleaners of our issues. My fiancé and I stayed at the Kaleialoha Resort for a week. The condo itself was nice and had everything we needed. The biggest complaint is the fact that we were not informed prior to our stay that there would be construction going on every day at the condominium while we were there. We were notified of this literally the day before we checked out. If we would have known this in advance, we would have stayed elsewhere because the noise was really annoying. read more

Maui Paradise Properties ruined my vacation! Three days into my vacation a water main broke at the condo we were staying at and our water was 100% completely shut off for over 24 hours! They refused to relocate us and suggested we go shopping or out to dinner while we wait for the issue to get fixed. We decided to vacate the the property and go across the street to the Whaler where they had running water. Now Maui Paradise Properties is refusing to refund us our money for the stay at their condo at Kaanapali Royal. read more

We have been scheduled for the past 11 months to stay at Napili Shores through Maui Paradise Properties. Our scheduled departure date is in about 2 weeks, and just by chance I was looking at our reservation this morning and found we had been canceled. Apparently the owner of the unit we were to stay in had decided to participate in a program to assist in housing residents of Lahaina who were displaced by the wildfires. Maui Paradise Properties had sent an email about 5 days prior to my discovery, and I did not receive the information at that time. We do understand the needs of the local Maui people and it's unfortunate the cancelation came so close to the time of our departure, but we want to be able to support the locals of Maui, even if indirectly. read more

Know what your getting into!!! Do not support a company that is incappable of having decent customer service. We had booked a condo with these folks for a one week family vacation. We had to cancel due to a unexpected mandatory surgery that my daughter had to have. Even so, we gave 30 day notice with verification of doctors notes, surgery verification and all. The company did not refund us as their policy is to issue refunds with a 60 day notification. Ironically, we had booked our stay about 40 days out! There was no way to have a 60 day notification. The most disappointing part was the lack of any effort, emphathy or kindness from the staff. Calling them was comical, as no one wanted to tell me whom I could talk with, and basically I was hung up on. Almost $3000.00 given to the company for nothing. This company cancelled my condo AFTER I arrived in Hawaii. This left me scrambling to find a place to stay the evening I arrived in Maui. The text we received after turning our phones off airplane mode upon arrival said that the unit was "not habitable" and that they would send an email soon with their "only option available." The only option provided did not include the original amenities that we paid for, but they said "there are other properties on the island that you can book. We do not have any other alternatives to offer." This left us on our own to find a last minute place to stay. One can imagine the stress of finding a last minute comparable place to stay in busy season without breaking the bank. This entirely preventable mistake on their part, which they refuse to take ownership for, caused me to spend thousands of extra dollars than budgeted. Property manager Jeff Newton's incompetency of not knowing how to manage his units (see other reviews who also had issues with this particular manager) is primarily to blame. Reading replies to other reviews, I'm sure John K will come up with some lie or excuse while replying to this review. He may even question the "audacity" I have to post this (as he did some other costumer in a review a few months back). However, the true audacity is a company who steals from and lies to their costumers. We were refunded most, but not all of our money, even though they were the ones who cancelled on us last minute. It appears that Maui Paradise Properties is actively deleting customer reviews, as they want to hide the harsh truth that most customers are very unsatisfied. I am not upset, but I do feel disrespected. Kind of like how Tracy Mcgrady felt disrespected when Calvin Cambridge was picked from the crowd to play 1 on 1 with Tracy at halftime. Tracy was an all star basketball player, but Calvin (a huge fan of his) still went out there and disrespected him with his jump shots and sweet dunks. Choose another condo! We have stayed at Napili point before, and loved it. This was our 9th time staying in a condo in Hawaii. We have always had great experiences until this trip. Unit B5 is in a beautiful location but I would not recommend it. We arrived at 3:15 and the cleaners still had not been there. They cleaned for about 20 minutes. There was a terrible chemical / mold smell in the unit. It was actually nauseating. There is ceiling damage throughout the unit large cracks and peeling. The kitchen cupboard handles were all sticky. The shower floor was dirty and the tracks were filthy. There were dead roaches in the laundry area. When we pulled out the couch bed the first night the sheets were dirty and sandy. We called the management to bring clean sheets and they told us sorry no one is available for that you'll have to wash them. Seriously it was time for bed and we had to go out to Ross and buy new sheets. The bedroom floor was sandy. The patio door was near impossible to open and close. It is sold as a unit for four and we had 3 beach towels. No supplies in the kitchen not even salt and pepper! To spend a vacation in a unit that feels very dirty especially during covid did not make for a relaxing time. My sister stayed a few doors down and her place was pristine, luckily we could spend time there to get away from the terrible odor in our condo. Have been working with Jeff Newton on a rental property at The Sands of Kahana. Jeff has been great and you can tell is truly upset by what happened. A greedy owner demanded more money even though we have already paid in full. Certainly there should be enforced contracts to prevent this from happening, but there aren't. This is the 2nd condo we reserved where this has happened. This 1st was through another management company that just cancelled our reservation and relisted condo at higher price. Jeff took a more honest approach and for that I am very appreciative. We would absolutely work with him in the future. Sad others are blaming him for something he couldn't control. He is handling it with genuine concern and willingness to help his clients. Thanks for the transparency Jeff, see you in August! read more

Update - now home for 4 days, and aside from someone showing up at the door asking about a dispute over a credit card (why would you actually go to a property to ask about that? Most normal people would call on the phone), still NO COMMUNICATION from the property agency. The feeling from my friend who actually spoke to the visitor was that they were checking the condo out to see if we were still there. Maui paradise Properties does not care about their customers once they have your money. Buyer beware. read more

The management of this property was actually transferred mid-lease from a different property management company. Nevertheless, Russell and his team made the transition smooth and reassured. I have to give them a 1 star. Why? In Jan my GF and I booked a stay in March. We contacted them in Feb wanting to cancel due to the coronavirus. IF we had cancelled; they were only willing to refund us the cleaning service fee which is about 10% of the total charge. Because of that we decided to keep with our trip. 2 days before we were to leave they had cancelled our booking without any prior knowledge or our consent.
