We've been twice in the first 4 days of our visit for a conference. First impressions matter. We were greeted at the door with a smile and courteous professionalism even though the restaurant was teeming with people. The hostess found us an ideal spot at the windows, a busboy greeted us immediately as he filled our glasses. and within two minutes, a towering woman with a beaming smile was over to hand out menus and make suggestions from the wine menu and inform us of the specials. When we ordered, the kitchen was out of my top choice, but the waitress suggested an alternative that turned out to be incredibly delicious and not something I would normally consider. All around the table, everyone was commenting on how extraordinarily well-prepared the food was---fresh, not overly-spiced, and just the right portions. I've seen other reviewers on this site concerned about the prices. I simply don't get it. Considering the quality of the food, how perfectly cooked it was. the generous portions, and the first-rate service, we felt far more than satisfied. My family and friends had a wonderful time at Tuscany Italian Bistro. We shared many laughs, drinks, and a good meal. Our server was pleasant, most helpful, and always wearing a smile. Two of us ordered the linguine with seafood in red sauce. We both added lobster to it. We both agreed there wasn't any red sauce in our dishes and we were charged $25 for a lobster tail they cut in half and over cooked. When the dish came it looked beautiful, but not worth the $60. We stumbled on to this restaurant due to its excellent reviews. And they were right! This place is terrific. We did not have reservations so had to sit outside but they had a "cool fan" running to help keep us cool and it was fine. Adriane was our server and she was excellent. She answered all our questions, she was friendly and she shared her recommendations. I took her advice and had the lasagna and it was honestly the best I have ever had! It was enough for two, so I had some to take home. The bread was fresh and the garlic dipping sauce was very good. My husband had Gamberi Veneziana and he LOVED it! So good!! I have the lobster ravioli, the smoked salmon bruschetta, and the escargot starter. Also ordered a bottle of the Riesling which was so good. I was impressed. The service was pretty good and we got seated pretty quickly on a Friday night without a reservation. The food was very good. I got the escargot for the table and was adequate. The entrees we got were tasty but did not equate to the price. The lobster ravioli were 60 dollars and there were 3 raviolis. In no way should it be that much for that. We were craving some Italian and decided to place a reservation. Once we arrived our table was ready on the inside so we sat outside . The hostess was very welcoming but the manager however was not. We tried the chicken Alfredo 0/10. The chicken was fully cooked and it tasted boiled . The shrimp appetizer was baked and or should've been grilled. The service was just ok. I wouldn't recommend or return. The drinks were too syrupy. The server took my card but didn't run it and brought it back to the table. It was an odd occurrence but we went to the front to make sure we have a receipt. Thank God because it would've looked like we walked out on the check. So disappointed ! Wonderful Italian restaurant. Started with some specialty Martinis and Negronis followed by a Caprese appetizer. Our entrees included Gamberi Veneziana and Veal Parmigiano. Some may complain about the prices but the entree sizes were huge. Casual dining with an upscale ambience. Staff (Roza) were friendly, helpful, 5 star service. Ask about their specials. Too full for dessert but we will get that on return visit. Didn't see any children in the restaurant but the menu showed child plates. My only suggestion would be not charging for pre-dinner bread, and offering some kind of happy hour discount for cocktails between 5-6:00PM. read more

We tried this restaurant for the first time for dinner. It's quite busy so make reservations in advance. The place itself is not very big from the inside. We sat inside and they have outdoor patio with heaters as well. They have many servers because I saw that every table was occupied pretty quickly, and the place is kept clean including the bathroom. We started with their calamari and escargot. Both were delicious. There was a wait on the bread because I think they make it fresh so that took some time. But it was pretty good - nice and warm. Everything from complimentary bread to appetizers was delicious. For entrees, we ordered their chicken parm and eggplant parm. Surprisingly the eggplant parm was much better than the chicken parm. The flavor was great including their sauce and spaghetti but the chicken itself was hard to chew. Maybe it was overcooked or not fresh. It could be better. See photos of the food below. Our total was $125 for everything below (no alcoholic drinks). We only ordered Pellegrino. Overall I would come back to try other things on the menu. Our server was nice and sweet. Our family took a delectable dining trip to Tuscany in Destin, Florida. The food was fresh and homemade, the service was great, and the atmosphere was an Italian affair. The Grouper Piccata did not disappoint- super fresh, flakey, seasoned well, and beautifully plated. The New York style cheesecake with chocolate and raspberry purée finished the meal on a sweet note. Tuscany Italian Bistro has been serving the Destin area for over 30 years. It is very much family run, and the founder and owner was there when we ate, talking with various patrons. The menu isn't very large, so I'd call it selective. Lots of things sounded good. We opted for the smoked salmon bruschetta appetizer, which comes with smoked salmon atop bread with mascaporne spread, capers, extra virgin olive oil. For some reason my wife and I forgot that smoked salmon wasn't cooked, so it was different than we expected but that's on us. I tried the gamberi veneziana entree -- linguine pasta with blackened jumbo shrimp, scallops, tomatoes, a touch of cream, white wine, and scallions. It was absolutely delicious and lots of food. The ambience was great. The restaurant is fairly small on the inside all things considered, but they also have a patio with heaters for winter and large cooling fans for the summer time. read more

Very nice spot right off the San Destin resort. Can get her by walk, golf cart or car. On the beach side east of the entry gate shopping center. Very low lit but a bustling laid back environment. We could not get reservation but were accommodated for our group of 5. They offer indoor and outdorr seating but temps were over 100 all day so we opted to squish a bit near the bar which was perfect. The owner came over later and offered to move us to a bigger table but that wasn't necessary. We had the bread with flavored olive oil and smoked salmon bruschetta for appetizer. Very good. Entrees were grouper picatta and veal picatta, alfredo pasta and a seafood pasta. The seafood pasta white wine sauce was pretty spicy even for our Louisiana palate as the seafood absorbed literally all the spice. One family member is very sensitive to spice. Shiuld have gotten the alfredo as it was no spice. Waitress offered to get something else, but we declined. Service was good for a clearly busy late night. We had the gluten free cake for dessert which was remarkable and one tiramisu to share also very good. Would definitely visit again when in town. read more

Didn't get a chance to tell him how salty my meal was. I got the grouper and shrimp piccata, it really could've used a little angel hair to soak up the sauce because it was just way too salty. We ordered the fried ravioli which was just ok, 2 Caesar salads that were both soggy and wilted, clearly made way before being served. Main courses were the chicken parm and veal marlasa. The chicken parm was not good. The chicken itself was very hard and lacked flavor. Must have been frozen. The veal was ok... nothing amazing. The bread and oil they serve I will admit was delicious but it was all downhill from there. The staff were nice and the waiter was good.
