It was a great Greek restaurant until about a month ago. Same owners, and for some reason, they decided to become Kingsman House of Burgers. This is commercial suicide. It is now terrible. Big mistake. There are burgers joints everywhere. I went there to pick up a takeout (by the way, the menu has changed. The fried calamari, which was excellent is gone. It was fresh because they included the tentacles which you can't buy in the frozen rings which suck). It's dark inside, and the overwhelming stink of burgers doesn't mix well with the glorious smell of Greek food. Also, I bought the greek wings. Why do you put slimy onions and peppers on top of grilled wings? Totally disgusting. And my wife ordered a chicken sandwich. Dry garbage on a cheap bun. Perfectly fire grilled and I have to say the seasoning was on point! I dislike when restaurants heavily salt and season their seafood but this right here was perfect! Honestly this is the best Greek food I've had local to where I live. Started with the roasted red pepper hummus which was incredible. The chicken souvlaki was equally as good but the tzatziki.....OMG!! Out of this world. Service was great as well. If there is one "con" it's that parking isn't great and the place is sort of in a strange location. If you were just driving by you wouldn't know it was there. Highly recommend!! read more

We've had a lot of Greek food , but this was exceptional. The spinach pie was moist and not overly salty. The beets were delicious , as were the salmon , the lentil soup , the lamb chops , etc. . Extensive traditional Greek menu with a lot to choose from. Appreciate the abundant portions that aren't salty nor greasy. The grape leaves were a treat. We enjoyed the lamb souvlaki and Greek fries. By far the best Greek I've had in a long time. Was only in the area due my sons wrestling match at Kings Park High school, and this was definitely worth it. I had a gyro and fries, and he had the falafel dinner with grilled vegetables and a side of lentil soup. All was absolutely perfect. The gyro was tender and fresh, the tzatziki was amazing -not too thick, not too runny. The lentil soup was delicious-nice and earthy, not salty, not bitter. This was our First time at simply Greek. We went for a causal birthday celebration. Food: the food was delicious with plenty of vegetarian and pescatarian options for those of us that don't eat meat. We had the charcoal calamari, grape leaves, eggplant dip and stuffed shrimp with crab meat. The entree came with a large Greek salad and a side of rice. Shrimp with crab meat was delicious !! For dessert we had the rice pudding which was also great! The food is fantastic, the portions are big. The only issue is that they overcharge way to much . I understand inflation and what it is doing to businesses , but it also effects the customer who is trying to do there part . Basically $40 for a large Greek salad with chicken and a small Greek salad with chicken . We have eaten here 2x during our visit to Westport and the fries are amazing! The gyros sandwiches are also very good. Would prefer if the Pita was grilled a little longer as it tastes a little bit like white wonder Bread fresh from the bag. We typically take out from this establishment. Their food is quite good and the price is fair (nowadays). Their record, in our experience, of getting the order right is about 50%. My favorite Greek place is closed today!!! (MYKONOS) So I YELPED a place nearby and here is SIMPLY GREEK. I was surprised to find out they don't make an eggplant pita ....eggplant and pitas are pretty normal at any restaurant especially In Greek places. So I re - phrased it, eggplant in a pita with lettuce tomatoes and onions so simple (y) greek????? I guess not lol. So I ordered their eggplant chips (?) and a side of pita and lettuce and tomato....But now I was bit annoyed! I literally asked if they could make this simple food item and was told no......?.....? So I'm not going back I'll look elsewhere if !I crave Greek on a Sunday. The eggplant chips were very thin super thin and seasoned lightly but seriously ..? Barely any taste of eggplant which I love.
