This was a solid spot for greek food but I think there are better options. Tried a lamb and beef gyro sandwich and the portion was generous. There was way too much oregano for me to enjoy the flavors though and it could have used more tzatziki. I also ordered a portokalopita and it was unfortnately not flakey, extremely doughy, and not orangey enough to enjoy. It was difficult to eat as each bite doughed up. Found a new spot at The Twisted Greek in East Northport and had a really enjoyable experience. The chicken souvlaki was perfectly cooked with a great grilled char that added nice flavor without drying it out. Comes with Greek salad, fries or rice. Rice was cooked nicely and the fries were perfectly seasoned with salt and herbs (oregano). The Greek salad was assembled closer to an authentic Greek salad. Fresh ingredients and none of the ridiculous leafy greens, and no black olives here! Rough chop with the right stuff; cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, green bell peppers, kalamata olives and feta cheese. My only critique on the salad was that it was crumbled feta and not the traditional block feta with drizzled, extra-virgin olive oil and oregano. Still better than most out there. Service was just fine--nothing over the top, but efficient and friendly enough to keep things moving smoothly. Overall, Twisted Greek is a good choice if you're in the area and craving flavorful, well-prepared fast Greek food whether you're dining in briefly or grabbing something to go. This is our go to Greek spot. The food is authentic and made with good quality ingredients . I love the grilled chicken breast pita, sometimes I'll just order a side dish of it with the Greek salad. My husband loves the beef and lamb gyro. We've also had both soups, amazing, and the spinach pie. The service is excellent and friendly. I was very surprised as the reviews here were top tier but our food was a miss. the zucchini chips were like eating salt from mill directly, unbearable and inedible. We ordered the mixed meat grill platter and although it was okay, most of the meats were dry. Overall was not worth the prices and I was hungry at the end of dinner as this didn't get the job done. We came here recently, as it's been awhile since we've had Greek and we were craving it. When you pull in, this is one of those "blink and you'll miss it" type places. Very unassuming in the best way. There was only one table seated when we came, but by the time we left it was like the secret was out and it was getting packed. Definitely order the hummus - was very fresh and tasty. The fries were a hit with the adults and kids alike. I ordered the falafel pita and my husband got the chicken platter which comes with A LOT of food. The portions here are very generous and left us with enough to heat up for lunch the next day. Even though there's currently just one waitress, she was very efficient and on top of all the tables. Cute Greek spot. I've been waiting for a quick Greek restaurant around the area that had gyros, and this place seemed pretty nice online so I wanted to try it out myself. It was pretty packed on a Friday night, with no parking outside and all of the 4 seated tables filled. However, we managed to get a seat and placed our orders. I got a lamb and beef gyro, but we had to wait more than 45+ minutes for our food. The people who came after us even got their food before us. We were suspicious of all of the 5 star reviews but it for the most part, lived up to the hype. Nice, solid basic Greek food. Delicious pitas! Chicken and mixed gyros were all absolutely fabulous. Good, not fancy Greek food is scarce around here. Salad was fresh and crisp and vegetables were definitely fresh. Would have liked to try the Chicken Lemon soup but they did not have (it was about 112 degrees out) Nice, friendly staff. Would have made it 5 stars but --parking is atrocious. Was out of a few things. And, and this seems off--while I appreciate that they are good at what they do and are not trying to do EVERYTHING but maybe, once things get rolling ,could you add a nice rice pudding?
