In the past, this was one of my favorite east north port places to got lunch last week. I ordered 3 falafels, something I get on a regular basis and they were terrible. They were just awful, they were soggy, they were devoid of taste. They were probably the worst meal I've ever had. They were unedible. I called the restaurant to complain that I got bad food and they didn't do anything about it. They explained to me how they were totally fresh and they just made them. And I was nuts, they were promptly tossed in the garbage at a loss of 45 bucks and I won't be back. I was very, very shocked. Because in the past this was my favorite place. The waiters and waitresses are always excellent. The cashiers are ultra friendly. The owners are always very nice. Things are usually excellent. But I got a very bad meal. I was very unhappy and I don't feel they did the right thing by me. Nice little spot for lunch. I'm not from the area but I do a lot of driving for work and like to try new places, I called a local Greek food spot and when she told me my small lunch special for a small soup and salad was $28 I did a double take and I said huh? She said a side of meat for my small salad was an extra 15 dollars. I get prices went up but, that's a little ridiculous. So as I was driving looking for lunch I saw this place and I decided to stop in. They were very friendly and welcoming which was nice. The food was good as well as the prices. It's ashame how one bad experience can turn you off from a place for life. I absolutely love the food here. However, I went there for dinner last night and experienced such horrible service to the point I will never go there again. The waitress knew exactly what she did wrong and didn't even try to apologize. Nope, she just ignored the situation and the girl is lucky I was nice enough to leave a tip, but I think the staff may need to work on their customer service skills. In conclusion. The place is great for take out, but don't dine in. Unless you have nowhere to be and enjoy the waitress giving you an attitude while she forgets to put in your order, because she is too busy talking to her friends. Oh and I called my order in over the phone and explained that we want to eat there, but ordering now because I have a toddler who didn't nap and in unpredictable in a restaurant. Get there 15 minutes later, she acknowledges that the order was called in. We waited an additional 40 minutes before the food came out!!! Have lived in town for 20+ years and think I've been coming here ever since. I seem to always get the same thing, chicken souvlaki lunch special with salad. It's really excellent. The pita there are excellent and so is the yogurt sauce which makes for an excellent sandwich. Really can't speak much about their other food. If I have one complaint, the chicken is overdone a lot. Went there for lunch, not very good. Ordered gyro dinner, to me a gyro is meat & fixings wrapped in a pita, this was sliced stiff gyro meat on a plate with potatoes, asked the waitress 'what's this?" She replied the "gyro dinner" needless to say I should have ordered the gyro lunch instead. My guests ordered lunch, the oven baked potatoes were overly "crispy" meaning they weren't edible. the rice pudding for dessert also was left, the rice was hard as a rock.
