We recently flew Aer Lingus from PHL to DUB and for the most part, had a decent experience with the flight. For Aer Lingus flights, make sure to make any edits, seat selections, updates, etc...beyond 3 days prior to your flight. At that point, they are no longer able to assist you. You then have to do everything at the airport, which can be a hassle. Outside of the changes beyond 72 hours being an annoyance, when I did speak with someone via customer service, they were as helpful as they could be and decently friendly. As for the flight, we had zero issues. We appreciate the boarding style of back to front, I wish more US airlines would adopt that! The flight itself departed and arrived as expected. It was a smooth flight with no in-air issues. I do wish they would have flown the larger plane, as the 3/3 plane was a bit cramped for a 6.5 hour flight, but we survived. Amenities on the flight were solid including the complimentary meal, snacks, drinks and pillow/blankets. The food was honestly quite surprising. Flight attendants were friendly and welcoming. Gate agents at PHL were helpful, but I would not describe them as "friendly". We checked luggage and it arrived without issue. Overall, this was our first experience with Aer Lingus, and we did not have any issues. Parts of the process leading up to the flight were a tad stressful, but the actual experience was solid. read more

I have canceled my flight to Dublin weeks ago. I have called them at least four times. No one seems capable of finding out why I have not received a refund. The story keeps changing. I will never fly this airline in the future--their customer service has no idea how to complete a refund request, even with case reference numbers in front of them. read more

I booked and paid for a Business class ticket only to discover one of the segments airplane had no Business Class seats. My ticket was J class and I was assigned a Business Class seat. Upon arriving at the airport for check in a supervisor informed me the plane had changed and I was assigned an economy class seat and to go online to request a partial refund. After several weeks, multiple attempts and filing several cases, I was informed that the fine print on the ticket stated " all classes may not be the same". Translation if we change planes and no Business Cassis available you're out of luck, no refund is due. This maybe legal but it sure feels slimy! read more

PROBLEM #1: I purchased my round trip ticket from Philadelphia (PHL) to Dublin and Dublin to Donegal on 9/6/24. The cost of the ticket alone was $1,942.00 the taxes, fees and carrier imposed charges was an additional $597.14 for a total of $2,539.14. The flight was booked for 5/22/25 to arrive on 5/23/25. On 10/24/24 I received notification from Aer Lingus that they were cancelling the flight to Donegal. I was given the choice of a refund or re-booking the flight. I already had booked the hotel and family living in England had already purchased their tickets and were flying to Donegal to meet me. So I re-booked my flight and re-arranged all of the travel plans. PROBLEM #2 I have a TSA Pre-Check, KTN number that allows me to go to the TSA Pre-Check line at any airport in the USA. In January of 2025 Aer Lingus sent an email to its customers stating that they were participating in the TSA Pre-Check Program . They posted directions on their website that stated that "you will be able to enter your KTN number when you check in online". I called the AerLingus Customer service number. No representative answered for 45 minutes. When I finally got to speak to a rep I was told that I would have to enter my KTN number when I checked in. PROBLEM # 3 I checked in last night and THERE IS NO WHERE IN THEIR ONLINE OR IN THEIR PHONE APP TO ENTER A KTN NUMBER. THE ONLY NUMBER THAT CAN BE ORDERED IS A REDRESS NUMBER (A redress number is given to individuals who were wrongfully listed on a "do not fly list", this number is NOT a KTN number.) I WILL NEVER FLY WITH AER LINGUS AGAiN. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. NO UPDATING OF THEIR ONLINE CHECKING INFORMATION ! My friend who booked her ticket same airline, same flights and sitting next to me booked her ticket in March 2025 paid $$302.10 for the flight and taxes, charges and carrier imposed fees of $511.28 for a total of $813.38 (she did not use any frequent flyer miles to lower the cost of the ticket!). Compare this to my ticket which cost $2,539.14. Rip off. read more

This airline has no customer service. My luggage arived 5 days after I arrived and all I am asking is reimbursement for the clothes I had to buy. Nothing fancy, just a t shirt, a pair of pants, some underwear. But this company is too greedy to even get back to me. AVOID! read more

My luggage was lost on 7/09/22. Customer service is practically non-existent. After going through a nightmare of online forms and all sorts of bs, still no luggage as of 10/29/22. They demand screen shots of the receipts from purchases I had to make in Dublin in order to get through the week. Then the reimbursement is less than half of the submitted amount. Informs me that this is the maximum under law. Then why ask for the receipts and put me through all that? I wrote an old fashioned hand written letter to the customer service vice president in Jericho, NY and to a V.P. of the airline in Dublin a month ago out of frustration for not getting any answers or recognition online. No reply. Terrible customer service, terrible airline. Ruined the only overseas trip I've ever taken. Never again. read more

Very disappointed with the way Aer Lingus handled a flight cancellation today. I was flying internationally to Amsterdam from Philadelphia. I received a call 2 hours before take-off that my flight was completely canceled. They left a number to call, so I reached out, waited 45 minutes just to be told they couldn't do anything for me and that I need to reach out to the booking party. No to mention the operator had a really bad attitude. I reached out to the booking party and was told that Aer Lingus had complete control of my reservation and that I needed to go to the airport and speak with an agent at the check-in. I arrived and no one was at the check-in desk, but a stack of papers were there apologizing for the inconvenience of the flight cancellation. No person to speak to, and no resolution was found through the airline itself. Had to browse the web and spend a couple grand to get on a different flight through Icelandair to make it to my destination in time for a work training. I probably won't ever fly through Aer Lingus again because of this bad experience and horrible customer service!! read more

There really are not as many options as there were before Airtran was absorbed by southwest, but I'll present my case for JetBlue has become the "best" airline, contingent on these two destinations. I wouldn't try jetblue with a US connection, because it seems far too many of their itineraries have ineffective routing (such as via Boston to go south and west) and not competitive pricing results. However, for their directs, as well as their sensible Caribbean destinations via FLL (from either PHL or BOS or JFK, mostly), you can often get a competitive fare that beats or meets all of the other airlines (both of them!) The 1 bag fee for you and your whole party on same itin can be avoided by paying $99 a year for their premium credit card, or else if you insist on paying a la carte, it's $15 to $23 if planned in advance, $35 for a walk-up (as of this writing). Other airlines don't tend to feature advanced booking bag fee discounts such as this, and I think it's a great incentive. I also think the credit card elimination of bag fees is the way to go because every time my family flies one way, this perk pays for itself. The credit card holder also gets half off in flight purchases, which means $3.50 drinks and $3.50 cheese plates. Prices you can't find anywhere else in the sky, and the drink choices are exceptional, not simply the watered down selection of brands too often given on other carriers. ALL of their planes feature free in flight wifi and TV and satellite radio options (www.flyfi.com). Now for a review involving the crew and employees. These are some very helpful and friendly individuals. The culture of JetBlue seems very customer satisfaction oriented.

Upon speaking with a supervisor (escalation team), they claimed it was because the partner airline did not confirm on their end. Funny, because I was already booking the seats with the partner airline when Jet Blue did this to me. I had the partner airline investigate, and they said it was indeed confirmed. I have screenshots of my booking with them before Jet Blue canceled it, so I can prove it. They refuse to accept this. They intentionally canceled my booking to extort more money out of me based on an absolute lie. There is plenty of proof my booking had been confirmed, but they are doubling down in their stance to claim that booking never happened. I'll never get these hours of my life back I wasted trying to talk to them. Never again.

The signage at this airport was very clear and it took a relatively short amount of time to locate my gate once I had passed through security. This airport's layout felt simple and did not make me feel rushed while looking for my gate. Boarding was very well organized and all of the staff were friendly throughout the process. American Airlines team members for this flight did a fantastic job of keeping the flight moving smoothly while still being helpful when needed! Our flight was 5083 departing at 9:51am from PHL to Savannah Ga. We arrived for our flight at PHL airport at 7:30am. Apparently our flight was cancelled because the plane was inoperable. We were told the next flight would be at 11am. It turned out that flight was also delayed but we did manage to board around 12:15pm. After receiving our seats in row 9 we were all told that this flight was too heavy & they needed 7 volunteers to forfeit this flight and take another flight at 7:30pm. Since we were only staying in Savannah from May 23-26, we were already losing most of the day & we had dinner reservations in Savannah at 5pm with friends we were meeting who were driving in from South Carolina. As it turned out only 5 people volunteered to forfeit this flight. Two more people were needed & they chose us (the Edelman's, senior citizens who haven't traveled in 7 years because of health problems and who have been freezing in Phl airport since 7 am. They said they chose us because I was the last one to check in online. We were given travel vouchers for $1800 each. Yes it sounds very generous but I don't know after this nightmare if I will travel again. American Airlines is negligent in overbooking & removing senior citizens from a flight. This is outrageous & we don't know if we will be traveling with American Airlines again.

Unfortunately I recently had a suboptimal and surprising experience with Delta Air Lines that I feel obliged to report with the hope that it will lead to changes in the way that Delta deals with such mishaps. Errors are bound to happen and often cannot be avoided. Such was the case with me. I was booked on a direct flight from Lisbon to JFK. It was an early morning flight specifically chosen so that I would have enough time to make an essential evening event that I could not miss and had spent a lot of time preparing for. Three days before the flight I spontaneously decided to open my Delta App and was surprised to find that my Delta flight was nowhere to be found. Unfortunately the feeling of surprise turned into easily avoidable disappointment if Delta implemented a process of recovery that would have likely resulted in praise instead of this review. I started a text dialogue with a competent employee to avoid a long wait on the telephone to speak with a live agent. I was ilinformed that my flight had been cancelled though I had never been forewarned either by email, text, phone, or on their Delta App. Their employee was able to get me back on the flight but instead of a bulkhead window seat in their Delta Premium Select section, as originally booked by me, I was placed in a middle seat in the back row of this section of the plane. I was relieved to get on the plane but disappointed in the seat since I might have bought a first class seat given the choices but did not since bulkhead had been available. Given these circumstances, I asked first for a complimentary upgrade which they said was unavailable. I then asked for some other form of compensation. I think the matter at this point had escalated to a higher level of management. I was then told that after completing my trip I should contact a certain department and submit a request for compensation. At this point I had been texting for over an hour instead of enjoying my vacation. I told them that they had all the necessary information and that they could forward it to the appropriate people. I then received a nice text from a higher-up who said he/she appreciated how I handled the situation and would look into the matter. I did inform them if they did not implement some form of appropriate compensation by the end of the trip, that I would write and post a review about this incident. Unfortunately they decided to do nothing and so here is my review. An unfortunate situation that could have so easily been avoided with little if any cost to Delta. Instead of giving priority to flying on Delta, I will in the future give preference to other options. At the very least, I hope this review leads to changes in the way they treat their customer travelers when mishaps like mine occur, either avoidable or unavoidable.

There are frequently huge lines at the check-in counters and bag drops as a result of this. I've noticed this across multiple airports that Avelo services--not just Tweed. The boarding situation is often quite confusing at Tweed because their signs/screens aren't accurate or are misleading, which makes things even worse for the staff as they try to explain things. The stewards/stewardesses and pilots are fine, however. Again, their staff are generally friendly and try to help, but their management should look into this.

The bad experience was, as I was going to the Terminal E location at Philly Airport, a disembarking staff was doing a scripted conversation with a coworker in which he did most of the talking to her, but appeared to be addressing something very loudly about me: the fact that because I was transgender, there was no bathroom I could use in a conservative place like Arizona. Otherwise, the assigned seats seemed to work in my favor, in that I didn't suffer harassment from people in nearby seats, and the flights were relatively quiet. I actually ended up having the same crew for my second flight, and although the one attendant was naturally a loud talker, the other attendant was really sweet and got me extra tomato juice. On the way back to Philly a few weeks later, I was able to ask for seconds on the Oreo cookies and got two packs. One of the people in front of me was smart to ask for a whole can of tomato juice when they were doing complimentary beverages, because it's the same as the Bloody Mary mix used to mix with alcohol, but not many people in economy have alcohol, and not many people like straight tomato juice. I think I will make a custom of trying to get a whole can of tomato juice, and seeing if there are seconds on juice, too. The second round of drinks for a long flight is water, and the third round is coffee (I disembarked in Philly at about 1:45am, because the flight was delayed from 11:55pm. However, the landing wasn't quite as stacked or rushed as usual, and I kept up my tradition of using the mapping app for the flight, observing how far we'd go into New Jersey before coming about again).

For the second time in two years, I was stranded in Philadelphia overnight and needed to leave the airport and stay at a nearby hotel. Fortunately, most of my experiences at the airport have been good. After all, the slogan of the Philadelphia International Airport is "Good things start here." Unlike friends who absolutely hate flying, I enjoy the travel experience, especially when using some helpful tools like CLEAR, Global Entry/TSA Pre-Check, airport lounge membership, and airline status, most of which I was able to enjoy during my PHL visits. When checking in (during my rare travels where I start a journey in Philadelphia), I am typically able to skip the check-in area if I didn't need to check bags (as I checked in online) on one of my trips. This time, my bag was already checked in from the day prior, and so I headed to the C gates only to learn that due to the challenges with TSA staffing, the C gates were closed. I then went to the B gates and saw a very long line with no TSA Pre-Check or line to skip Security. Rather, I walked over to the A gates (one was open and one was closed) and found TSA Pre-Check there along with the new TSA Pre-Check Touchless. I already had it activated, and while the regular TSA Pre-Check line had about 7 or 8 people in line, there was no one in the Touchless line. I walked right up and without taking out my boarding pass or any ID, the TSA agent asked for my image and said my name and waved me through. It took less than a minute to walk through which was incredible! It's nice when a stressful place at an airport like Security is not stressful at all and easy to navigate. I certainly think PHL is onto something even though the other Security areas at the other terminals and concourses may be a big more hectic. All in all, it's a great airport and one I do not have an issue with a layover here and there.

When I called and spoke with the office manager, who is also the owner- NANCY.... she told me that she had voided the transaction. HOWEVER- that can take 3- 5 days to show back up in the account. They never would have told me that I had been double charged- if I didn't catch it. They refused to refund my money or compensate me for the time that I was inconvenienced. She instead, blamed it on my bank for not releasing the funds. When I explained to her that it was her fault for running the charge- she then hung up on me and will not answer any of my phone calls. This is the poorest customer service experience of my life- they have my money, and I have had nothing but trouble since dealing with them

CityWide failed to pick me and my children up on the day of a close family member's funeral. They…read morepicked up elderly members of our party, miscommunicated with them, then travelled the hour north without me and the kids. They were aware there were to be 5 party members. We arrived within 3 minutes of the appointed time. They passed us leaving the neighborhood. We had paid for the next several hours. They did not attempt to call to clarify the situation with me, the party that set up the service. I raced the hour north with the children to get to the funeral (thankfully we were only a couple minutes late). We were charged the additional time that was necessary to return from the Luncheon back to the Church so I could pick up my car. No attempts were made to rectify the situation whatsoever.

It was a nerve-wracking experience. I booked a ride for a 3 am trip to the airport. I had to call…read moretwice before someone finally showed up. I had to run to the gate once I got through airport security as my plane was already boarding. No apology from City Wide and no refund of the extra fee I was charged for the early morning pickup. The driver who finally came had clearly been called at the last minute and I have no complaints about him or the car.

Perfect service. Uber/Lyft might have been cheaper but I didn't have a smartphone to use one of…read morethose. As I understand it, there are no taxi companies in this part of PA. So I called a few days ahead and spoke to Millennium and got a price for a car from the Coatesville Train Sta to a residential address in Coatesville about 5 miles away. I called a few times to get info and ultimately to reserve and each time my call was answered right away. I texted the day prior to my reservation to confirm and got a confirmation text back right away. On the day of my reservation, I received a call from the driver 5 to 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled p.u. time saying he was available whenever I was ready. Nice vehicle, super nice, reserved, and professional driver, perfect short trip. All went as expected and couldn't have been better.
