They seem very similar to Spirit in the way of cost and pricing set up. Everything is piece rate, so you want better boarding? Buy it. Want to choose your seat ahead of time? Buy it. Want a soda or snack on board? Buy that too. So the cost is no frills, just the flight, everything else is an add-on. It's not wildly expensive, but can add up quickly. The boarding process was beyond chaotic. The groups are massive, and once everyone lines up, the lines stretch well into the terminal depending on where your gate is. A few things I appreciated were the flight attendants keeping the luggage bins closed for the first few rows while boarding happens. They didn't open them until people in those rows began being seated. This and upon landing, they didn't allow the whole plane to stand up at once, they controlled this as well. Nice touches that I wish a few other airlines would adopt. Service was friendly and helpful at the gates and on board. Overall, a solid 3.5 as an airline overall. I wouldn't mind flying Volaris again when back in Mexico.

Still love JetBlue!…read more The priority boarding extra leg space and TVs make it a great flight. The only issue is with this hub there seems to be more delays than leaving Boston. So far only 25 percent of my flights leave on time. From Boston not as single delay at all. Luckily I never had a flight get cancelled. On my last trip a majority of the TVs were not working. They kept restarting. I also had the worst passengers sitting in front of me. They took up Two rows and they were out of control the entire trip. They could not control their kids. It was horrible and like a scene from Outbreak. They kept coughing all over the place, they would also stand up on the seats and cough in your face. . Wouldn't doubt if it was the flu or something. The kids kept jumping on the seat and screaming and crying. They could not control the kids. The entire family manned 1 bathroom for like 1/2 the trip. At one point the father apologized to me because the kept throwing and losing crayons and the would end up in my row behind them. Why not control your kids instead? The was a nightmare flight. I was going to ask for another seat but didn't want to make a big deal of it. At one point the father kept knocking on the bathroom door when somone else was in there. You took up the bathroom the entire trip, maybe others now need to use it. I could hear other passengers complain about them but not sure if they said anything. This was like Romper Room and Daddy Day Care all mixed in one. I feel bad for anyone else that has to get on a plane with them. Ok my rant is over. Just wish a flight attendant woulda told them to relax. And keep seated. lol. Can't really blame JeTblue for the passengers so I'm giving this trip a 3.75 lol.

My boyfriend walked up and asked if we could be moved closer to the front of the plane given the circumstances and she waved him away without even looking at our itinerary. Told him the gates were close together in Boston. The plane had several open seats closer to the front, so this would not have been a burden on her. The flight attendant on the plane was much more helpful, and the pilot made an announcement that a few folks had extremely tight connections so please remain seated unless you were one of them. Every single person in economy stayed seated, but I guess the announcement didn't reach the privileged, self-centered folks in first, as they ALL stood up and a woman told my boyfriend to move so she could grab her luggage. He said no, and I explained we had an extremely tight connection. A man in an Aloha Brewing shirt barked at me that everyone had tight connections. He started becoming very irritated and the woman in front of him told him that it was too early in the day to fight me. So that was fun. I hope dude felt really good about himself for going off on a girl. Anyway, he said he was going to New York so I checked the flights to New York. His connection was not tight. He was just rude. I recognize this is unrelated commentary but it's helpful context in the grand scheme of my experience. Our connecting plane was nowhere near the gate when we disembarked, so we had to run through the airport to another part of Terminal C in Boston. A JetBlue agent there asked where we were running to and said she'd call the plane to ask them to hold it for us. They did. JetBlue in Boston was stellar. All's well that ends well in the end, and the FA/pilot really did save the day, but I really wish the gate agent in San Diego had cared even an ounce to help us as a touch of customer service would've gone a long way. It could've been a different outcome if economy hadn't acknowledged the pilot's announcement.

The staff on board the plane were friendly and helpful. However, my one major critique was that they only had one staff for general curbside check-in and luggage drop off. Despite using the kiosk to print out our tags ourselves, we still had to wait in a long line to have them weigh our luggage and check our IDs, easily remedied by having at least one more staff. The first class staff did call us over once she was through with her line but I really thought a second economy staff was needed, especially since half the passengers were waiting to check in until they reached the front of the line, old school style, so that the guy had to print out their tags for them and their boarding passes... Thank goodness for TSA precheck which made the security portion of the morning go super fast. In any case my overall impression of Alaska Airlines was improved by the efficiency and comfort of the flight itself.

As an Emerald member with the one world alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. Unfortunately, this American Airlines experience fell short of expectations. I paid an extra $140 for seats that appeared to offer a better arrangement during the booking process. However, after my wife and I boarded the aircraft, we realized the seating layout differed from what had been displayed at purchase. Paying additional fees only to encounter an uncomfortable seating situation was disappointing. My assigned seat, 6K, lacked adequate cushioning, making the journey more uncomfortable than expected. I relied on extra pillows and blankets for lower back support throughout much of the flight. On longer trips, seat comfort can make a significant difference in the overall passenger experience. The customer service process proved equally frustrating. I first contacted an agent in Detroit seeking clarification regarding my flight details and aircraft information. I was then transferred to another department, believed to be located in Chicago, where I was informed they could not assist and was given yet another number to call. That representative ultimately redirected me back to the original Detroit contact. Only after several calls and repeated explanations did an agent finally provide the information I had requested from the start. After boarding, I found the aircraft itself attractive and well-maintained, and most of the flight attendants appeared hardworking and professional despite managing a busy cabin. However, the overall environment deteriorated as the flight progressed. A number of passengers were noisy and inconsiderate, and the lavatories became increasingly untidy within a few hours, with wet floors and sinks requiring attention. Although the cabin crew deserved recognition for their efforts and professionalism, the inconsistent customer service, uncomfortable seating experience, and declining cleanliness ultimately overshadowed the positives. Based on this experience, I would strongly compare alternatives before booking American Airlines for a similar trip in the Future. Hubby and I were headed to Puerto Escondido, which is very expensive and very time-consuming to fly to from the airport in San Diego. However, flight prices and times were much more reasonable from Tijuana. Thanks to CBX, we didn't need to find anyone to cross the border and drive us directly to the airport, especially as our flight departed at 5:40 AM. It was nice to have an easy drop off on this side of the border. Anyway, we were dropped off on the US side, and had pre-purchased CBX tickets online for $50 per person, round trip. I felt that the price was very fair for the staffing and amenities along the way. We had already reserved a rideshare to drive us to CBX, but I saw the secure parking lots and realized that parking there is also a valid, safe option. It appeared that some of the secured parking cost about $30 per day, making it a good option depending how may days you would like to park your car. Anyway, when we entered, there were people guiding us, as it wasn't too crowded at that early hour. You scan your CBX ticket, your boarding pass, and your passport. Then you are able to walk through the barriers. There are escalators and elevators to get to the bridge, and signs stating that there is assistance available for people with disabilities. The bridge was clean and air-conditioned. We walked through customs just prior to entering the Tijuana airport. When I had learned about CBX, I was reluctant. A friend of mine told me that she had walked much further in various airports. It is true. The walk is short and easy Upon coming back to the states, we learned that there were several taco and other food trucks on the US side of CBX, as well as Starbucks and a well-known mall pretzel company. All in all, I am grateful to have a way to access the TJ airoprt in a very easy and affordable way. I plan to continue to use CBX for more affordable flights south of the border.
