It's been more than five years since I've been to aesthetic climbing gym. I randomly got a text message from Trevor and I'm grateful that he was able to reach out! It just happened that I started working around the area and I was honored a one week free membership. Lucas was absolutely amazing and seeing all the improvements from before was definitely awesome to see. I just wished that I had more time, but I'm glad I got to come in for a quick lunch session. I really wanted to like this place. When my two year old son started climbing rock walls around playgrounds I figured this would be a perfect place to get some energy out. There was very little instruction on the part of the teachers so I often was left wondering what to do. And not only that, but when my son showed some hesitancy to rope climbing the instructors basically ignored us altogether. Really disappointed for the money we spent to try it out. read more

This was the second climbing gym I'd visited and it was an adventurous experience. There are two stories, and lots of different walls to climb. People can have birthday parties thrown here! They offer military and teacher discounts for those that serve the community. If you're also looking for a mini gym, they have one too. Bathrooms are clean and maintained well. If you come be prepared to see kids running and jumping off walls... there are a good amount of children that frequent here. read more

Came here twice in a weekend because my toddler loved it so much. The first time, we went as part of a birthday party. There's a space upstairs that has tables for food, a foosball table, fridge, sink, and bathroom - pretty nice! As part of the party, I was "trained" to belay for the kids. After a quick lesson, I was sent off. Turns out, I was doing it wrong the whole time. Probably should have some more QC for parent volunteers... Anyway, my toddler had so much fun that he wanted to go back. So back we went the following day for a 2hr climbing session. I took the belay class, thank goodness, and was let go after being watched a few times. My kid loved it. There are different difficulty grades at different portions. In addition, there's a weight room, bouldering area, and, weirdly enough, a chess board on a table. There are also open cubbies throughout the gym. While they sell shoes, they don't sell gear. But you can bring your own gear if you don't want to rent. Honestly, with the price of gear rental, if you're going to go more than a few times, it's probably worth it to invest in some of your own gear to bring. They also have classes for toddlers which includes membership. This could be a great way to get unlimited entry for a month at a reasonable price! They also have plans that don't include the class. Lots of flexibility. I don't think there's AC inside - lots of fans. It's not too bad when there aren't that many people, but it can get warm when it's busy! read more

We had a terrible experience with the owner, Trevor. My son has multiple disabilities and has an alert service dog. He argued with me about allowing the service dog in which is in violation of state law. He also repeatedly told my child "you look normal", "you act normal" "if you can see that far" (my son is visually impaired) and that he informed me he doesn't need special accomodations as if he was a Dr or therapist. My child left extremely upset. He also told me many times to go talk to my husband about how get my child lessons.... I asked him to stop telling me to ask my husband and then he argued with me that he was doing it out of a sign of respect. He then told me we weren't welcome back because of my son's disabilities and his service dog. read more

We had our son's 9th birthday here a couple of weeks ago and it was perfect. We found a groupon deal and I immediately called to inquire about their birthday package. I am so glad I did because all the kids enjoyed their new adventure. We haven't been here prior to the party so a lot were unsure what's gonna happen. The staff are so friendly and very approachable. They explained some safety tips on how to fall safely. Our daughter (3yo) liked the climibing wall in the second floor, and she even tried the high wall. We'll definitely be coming back and put this activity in rotation for summer break. We just had a birthday party for my nine year-old daughter at Aesthetic Climbing Gym in Lake Forest. It was so great! Trevor, the owner/manager really came through when we had a schedule obstacle. He reached out in a timely manner, went above and beyond to make sure everything was lined up, and covered every concern. His team was super friendly and helpful yet laid-back and easy-going with 14 kids who were anxious to explore and climb :-) The party room was the perfect size, lots of space to decorate and had really cool live edge tables. It was close to some walls for the kids to practice climbing before they went down stairs to do bigger climbs. There were lots of levels from beginners to advanced. Many kids had never climbed before and parents said they want to go back for more since the party! Super easy to take food, snacks, drinks, dessert, very accommodating. This place really cool. I brought my climbing gear and I am glad I did. The price for a day pass is pretty normal at $25/day. The gym is not small, but tight, but every inch of space is used really well. I ended up spending most of my time up stairs and hit a few walls on the bottom floor. The place is a ton of fun. I was curious about grading as they have removed numbers and now use a color range. Its a good system since grading is so subjective. It reminds me of Cirque in in Lacey. Its a range vs a number. I do think that might be a better solution to the whole number system. One of the best parts of the gym was the guy at the front desk. Matt. He was super friendly and gave a quick tour around the gym which helped a ton. Plus super encouraging as he walked around. I recommend this place for sure. It was a blast. read more

Our little one was looking to work off some extra energy on a Sunday morning and found this climbing gym on the recommendation of a colleague. Our family is 100% thankful of that recommendation. Since that first try at climbing at Aesthetic Climbing, our little one has joined their Sprouts on Routes program that allows each individual child explore the world of climbing in a somewhat controlled environment with the guidance of some caring coaches/teachers. If you are looking for a strict schedule to follow, you will not find that but if you are looking for an environment that nurtures your child's natural curiosity, this is the place! It is absolutely amazing to see your child mature mentally and physically throughout their climbing journey at Aesthetic. Hosted our son's 11th birthday party and it was the perfect venue to host a bunch of pre-teen boys. The staff was friendly, accommodating and extremely helpful. I've been climbing here for a few weeks now and I have nothing but good things to say about the environment, staff, and overall energy at the gym. Since Covid I have not been able to exercise regularly and have been searching for an activity where I can safely get back into shape. I had only tried rock climbing once before prior to joining the gym, and believe me when I tell you, it is a full body workout. Aesthetic climbing gym has helped me feel like I can get back into shape safely and consciously. Masks are required at all times, Temperature checks and hand sanitizer are required before entering the building, and you can tell most members are very much aware of social distancing, and in the friendliest way possible, provide everyone with space to freely climb and train. The staff have ALL been fantastic, they made me and my family feel right at home from the very beginning. Both my children (ages 4,2) have climbed with my since memberships come with several monthly guest passes, and I can see they are taking to it very well. I hope to eventually sign them up for the youth program as it is very popular at the gym. Overall, I've been very happy at Aesthetic and I'm sure you could be as well. Checked this gym out with a few friends and it has great climbing space! There's loads to try out and experiment with. I like the variety they put on the walls. There's an upstairs and a partner climb which was cool. I called in a few days in advance to ask about the free intro class and the worker on the phone told me that the intro class comes with a day pass/ we could climb with the intro class registration so we thought we were able to check in out for free for the first time but upon arriving, the person working did let us know that the intro class doesn't include access to the facilities. Just a heads up for those wanting to try it, the intro class doesn't allow you to climb like other places, it's just a tour. The grading is a little different that other climbing places, they do sort of like a grouping with color labels. Green is v1-v3, then blue, then orange and red. It's a little weird because you can't really tell what you're climbing. But I kind of liked it because I could challenge myself to try something more difficult and not limit myself to a grade. Overall a really chill experience. I went at a good time so it wasn't to crowded. They also offer a student discount! Definitely check it out. read more

Good gym for climbing for bouldering or ropes. Affordable, pretty fun / laid back and challenging, long hours. Located towards Foothill Ranch in the back of a business park. Been around for 4-5 years but just tried it out for the first time and it was pretty good. Unlimited monthly membership so I'll be back. The only head scratcher is they say members get free rentals and chalk. When you go up and ask for chalk they act like they don't know you. Maybe joking but it was weird. Why even put it on the wall if it's not a thing? Note this is not 24hr fitness in the wintertime it's chilly inside layer up. Dunno how it is in summer. They also have exercise machines for members, and a ping pong table. read more

Man I don't know where to start! Came here for my first time bouldering on 10/04/21 and have not been able to get enough. I seriously fell in love with the sport and am so stoked it ended up being here at this establishment. After three times I felt it was necessary to get a membership. I've brought my friends, son, and even mother already! Not to mention they have a huge youth group here, but I always see all ages and types of people here to climb and even work out in there small gym downstairs. What a great gym. I hate that I had to cancel my membership here because I really felt like I belonged to a great community, until... The owner, Trevor, pitched me on joining his multi-level marketing business (Amway). Then I asked around and realized I was hardly the first person in the gym he has pitched to. Three of my friends in the gym had been talked into attending his pitch meetings. Why is this so upsetting? Well for starters, 99% of people that sign up to distribute for multi-level marketing companies like Amway ultimately lose money, so to have someone you trust pitch it to you as a legitimate way to make money feels incredibly deceptive. To then find out he has tried to do the same thing to your friends makes the situation feel even worse. Add to that the fact that college classes come to aesthetic to teach rock climbing, bringing many new adults and college students to the gym on a regular basis. Revolving door of potential new recruits into his scheme? Check. Trevor, your actions completely betrayed the trust I placed in you and the community you have worked so hard to build. I did not want to have someone selling to me while I was enjoying my free time climbing in the gym, which is why I came to you to report it when it happened. For you to somehow think it was okay to flip that situation on me and then pitch your own scheme to me shows a complete lack of awareness of the situation or what you're involved in. Is it worth it to profit off of the losses of 99/100 of the people you recruit? read more

This is a decent place when I manage to come at quiet hours ...I'm a beginner , but there are not a lot of beginner routes for bouldering. The staffs are friendly though. During the week between 5-7pm, there are a lot of kids here , feel like a day care center sometimes. The kids are screaming , running around playing hide and seek, break dancing or pushing each other having fun on the padded areas. We love this place! You are greeted by staff with big smile every time you walk in. They are friendly and treats you like family! All the coaches are amazing. The staff loves their job and you can tell they only want the kids to grow and learn all about climbing. I use to never feel comfortable leaving her at practice at any sports but here I feel that she in good hands and while climbing she is with good coaches to guide her . Beginner or intermediate climbing this place is a great spot for climbing to train or just have fun! My husband and I went here on a double date with another couple and we had a blast! For $15 we stayed for 2 hours climbing on the wall with no harnesses and the wall where you are harnessed in. Trevor was so friendly and down to earth. He showed us everything but let us go ahead and do our own thing. I don't really know all the terms of climbing, I'm totally a beginner, but it was so fun trying to use the patterns mapped out on the sheet to complete the climb and be challenged. We live in HB and would totally keep making the drive to do this more often. It's such a great workout and all the people there are so friendly! This is my favorite climbing gym in the Lake Forest area, it features multiple rope climbing and free climbing walls that vary in difficulty, and they also change up the walls every couple of weeks. The climbing coaches at the front desk are also courteous and eager to help. I had a lot of positive experiences here, would recommend 10/10 read more
