I was super hesitant because I saw my mom do it in the 1990s and she had an allergic reaction and looked horrible for a week. Anyway, I'm getting to the point in my life where my appearance is still important to me, but I just want to look good without putting in too much effort. Yes, I am lazy. Anyhoo Lena was quick to respond to my email inquiry about what type of brow service I should do. I was initially thinking microblading because it is less permanent and seems to be popular these days, however after consultation Lena suggested getting my eyebrows tattooed. I have sparse non-existent eyebrows. I looked totally different with makeup and without makeup, mainly because I had no eyebrows. I would go to yoga work up a sweat and come out looking like a totally different person because my brows would melt off. After getting my brows tattooed, my husband says it looks like I have makeup on all the time, that's how much of a difference it has made. Like he thought I was hot before, but now I'm even hotter because I have nice eyebrows all the time. Lena did a fabulous job. My eyebrows are symmetrical and perfectly proportioned. The process took about 1.5 hours and I felt very little pain. I went back a month later and she touched up my eyebrows to make sure they were settling in well. Highly recommend Lena! Go get your eyebrows done by her, she's truly a professional at the top of her game.

Just the right amount of bosom peeked out of the top of her dress. Her jet black straight hair glistened in the light. Like an art canvas her gorgeous tanned skin with colored tattoos adorned her body well. Her nice smilingly pearly whites greeted me . Yes, a woman's body is definitely in no competition to a man's. You see in the beginning of time Adam was made of Dirt and Eve was made out of a rib. Before a master piece a draft must be made. I'm a FAN but not of the price! Girls, this is the most priciest eye brow waxing I ever got, 35 smakaroos. I've been to Paul Brown, Wax and Lash bar, Heaven on Earth, Bobbi and Guy, I can go on and on but I'll reiterate that it's was the most priciest. Well, your 1st eye brow shaping is 35 but on the next one it's 25 smakaroos. When you check in 3 times with your smart phone, Yelp application then it's $20 on your 3rd visit. Besides the price I'm a FAN of everything else. Especially gorgeous Lena ; ) I know everything is more expensive in Honolulu. Lena was quite easy to get a hold off. I reached her threw email and she quickly responded. The office is located on the 2nd floor, its above a snack shop. Lena is actually Located in Reneux Med Spa. When you get off of the elevator you can see the spa. (PAID) parking is located right next to the building. When you check in for your appointment they offer you water, coffee, or tea. The office is clean and the staff is nice. I showed a picture to Lena on how I wanted my eye brows shaped. I admit that I don't have much to work with but I've experienced miracles with 2 estheticians who sadly moved to the mainland. I'm willing to pay $35 for a miracle but I didn't get a miracle that day. I wanted an arch, but not too thin. She told me that the picture that I showed that her eyebrow is darkened in by makeup. I've never heard of a studio doing consults to make sure you're choosing the right procedure so I really appreciated this. When I met with Candice, not only was she really sweet and personable but very knowledgeable, as well. She recommended the Suji eyebrows for $495. That was another shock - the price! I've had friends pay upwards of $700 for their brows but the Suji technique was only $495. I immediately booked my appointment. Candice kept in touch with me up til the day of the appointment. I got there and she explained the procedure and we began. She put in a lot of time and effort to drawing the perfect shape and matching color and I trusted her 1,099%! Candice was very meticulous and such a perfectionist, which I completely appreciated. She numbed my brows and then the tattooing began. It was painless (I wish I had been numbed for all 35 of my tattoos lol). And quick! 45 minutes later, I got up and I had a set of beautiful and amazing brows...for the first time in 15 years! I couldn't believe it. All throughout the procedure, Candice would check on me to make sure I was still numb or that I liked what she was doing. I got exactly what I wanted and so much more! The difference Candice's brows have made to my face is phenomenal! And it's cut down getting ready each morning. Gyoungsil works out of a small, functional room inside LEEKAJA Hair Bis, the hair salon in the Madang plaza on Wilshire and Western. I've gone to her (and her old partner Lucy, per my previous review) a few times over the years, in two or three different spots, but she seems to have settled here, or has been here, in any case, since before COVID. It's a good spot, and easy to access for customers. The plaza has plentiful garage parking, and I think it's usually free with validation. The entrance is a little confusing, though. I believe it's on Manhattan, and it might only have signs for H Mart. My eyebrows are naturally thin and light, so without significant help, I kind of might as well not have them. Microblading has been a blessing since I first started getting it done in my twenties, and Gyoungsil is my preferred practitioner. I don't know enough about eyebrows to tell her what to do, but every time, she manages to make my brows look just the way I want. She's also great at making the process comfortable and relatively painless, which is not nothing when you're dealing with topical numbing cream and innumerable cuts from a small knife. I probably wouldn't do this if it were a once-a-month thing--it costs $300 before tip (payable through VenMo) and again, it involves a knife on your face--but microblading makes my eyebrows look good for well over a year (and last time, I didn't even bother with the touch-up a month later). I'm grateful that this service exists, and unless my brows stop being sad and wispy, I will remain a loyal Beautyholic customer.

Tami quickly cleaned up and tinted my brows - I'm fair/blonde/blue-eyed so the color is always a bit tricky - too dark and I'm Clara Delevingne - too light and I'm, well, invisible brow woman. And I wear contacts so my attempts at "grooming" my brows is actually laughable. I've now got "brow style and color" that looks great all the time! I was so pleased with her brow work that I returned for the lash tint/perm - that's right - I went all out! It was definitely a new experience - lash perming! - who knew? But the end result is AMAZING. I've now got some dark long lashes, great brows and am really hoping she can tattoo my lips (just kidding - I think - is that a thing too?!)!
