Compared to Sushi restaurants.........not so great. It's pretty much Fred Meyer sushi. However, the employees are really nice.

We placed our order and headed on into the bar/gift shop area. They have so many cool books, trinkets, stickers, cards, etc. The plant and lighting set up in there is also incredible. We each ordered a sake flight which was so tasty! I reccomend the unique flight which has lychee, citrius dream and hot devil. These are all on the sweeter side. Our food was ready in no time and we found a little table outside to eat. The lights were glowing and the sun was just setting which made the ambiance perfect. I highly recommend the Ramen. The flavor was insane. I also enjoyed the mushroom sushi. This place is absolutely worth the hype and wait.

It is a unique and beautiful setting in the Mt. Hood Villages, Welches specifically. Great choices of noodles, beers cocktails and the place to sit. Either in the lovely outdoor wooded patios or the indoor bus. Dog friendly. Friendly servers who are very knowledgeable. I had a great Oregon Brewery Summer ale which accompanied my noodle dish perfectly. Of course, since I was in Oregon, I had to have a slice of Marionberry pie. Delish. If in the area make this a stop.

The space has a handful of tables and seating if you prefer eating inside, as well as some colorful benches along the outside of the establishment. The person at the POS had a friendly demeanor and also asked if the amount of shoyu sauce packets were enough or if I needed additional pair of chopsticks which was appreciative. The inari sushi were delicious and the tofu pockets were packed with ingredients which justifies the price and cost. They didn't even skim out of the amount of pickled ginger and wasabi! The tofu pockets had a light yet pleasant taste which did not overpower the taste and freshness of the fish. The truffle salmon and yuzu hamachi are my favorite inari sushi out of the ones I've tried. I was hoping the blackened tuna had more of a kick or the spices were more forward but it was still enjoyable. The mango salmon is definitely creative and creates a harmonious pairing of flavors.

The smoked salmon with inari was especially impressive--simple but so satisfying. I also had the Salmon Donburi. The sauce had a nice tang to it, and the salmon was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. It did take about 20 minutes to come out, but honestly, it was worth the wait. Definitely recommend if you're craving quality salmon dishes. Mirakutei is a beautiful restaurant and has a refined dining area. I wouldn't say it's the most kid-friendly place (not because of the service or anything, it's just more for adults to enjoy a night out), but kids do enjoy it. I find the food here to be of good quality. The skewers I had had a delicious savory flavor and the asparagus rolls were really great. In fact, I'd suggest the vegetarian rolls any day of the week. They are lighter on the palate and I think will surprise people with how good they are. One of the nicest things about Mirakutei is that they offer gluten free ramen noodles. My wife is gluten intolerant and having gluten free noodles is awesome. I gave them a try and I'd say they are 85% of the way to your standard glutinous ramen noodle - which is pretty good I'd say. I'm always impressed when they can get gluten free food close to the original. My kid goes crazy for the unagi here. The unagi is nice and meaty with a good sweet sauce on the top. It's what keeps him coming back for more. I will note that one this most recent visit during lunch he (of his own fault) fell out of the chair and broke the bowl. All the rice and unagi fell to the ground. The staff at Mirakutei were quick to sweep it all up and make him a new one (on them). We found that to be extremely classy and appreciated that greatly. We'll certainly be back here when we next visit the Portland area... my kid will make sure of it.

I ordered the Dragon Roll and Las Vegas roll. Both were quite tasty. We also ordered the Agedashi Tofu as a starter, a 6 piece of the Oysters, the Salmon Sashimi Flight, and House Tonkotsu Ramen. The oysters were pretty small, but packed with flavor. The Salmon Sashimi tasted very fresh and we loved the assortment of pieces.
