I love the decor of this place--brightly colored art on the walls and huge windows that provide lots of natural sunlight to brighten up the space. The staff was friendly, though it looked like only one waitress and one cook were working when we went in for lunch. The lunch special is a great deal: you get two standard sushi rolls of your choice for $14.95, and for 99 cents more, you can add miso soup and cucumber salad to the lunch combo. This special is available between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. every day. The miso soup was okay--kind of bland--but I really liked the cucumber salad. I got a sushi roll called the Chili Chili Bang Bang, which was made with a pink soy wrap instead of seaweed. I'd never had sushi with a soy wrap before, so I thought I'd give it a try. It was pretty good, but I think I prefer seaweed. For my second roll, I chose the spicy mango roll, which I really liked and would recommend. Overall, the food was good and reasonably priced. I've been impatiently waiting for them to open since I saw the sign go up. I did an online pickup order tonight (Friday) around 5 and when I got there they were packed and had a wait. The space is really small compared to the size of the building. I ordered a crisp shrimp roll and the #2 bento combo, which comes with a green salad and miso soup. The food is pretty on par with a meal these days. My total was $27 before tip. The miso soup gets 1 star it was room temp and it didn't taste like other miso soups I've had before. The green salad was basic lettuce with ginger dressing. Nothing spectacular. The bento box was also just meh. The spring rolls, chicken katsu and tempura veggies were ok but the teriyaki chicken was kinda soggy and didn't taste much like teriyaki. This was 3 stars. The crisp roll was $10 and was pretty small and didn't have hardly any shrimp. It also didn't pack much flavor. It wasn't worth the price. I'll be back but I'm going to give them some time to settle in and get their groove because I really want to like them! read more

This place really surprised me I was expecting a sushi belt kind of place in a strip mall. It's very vibrant inside and the people and friendly and happy. The food was absolutely fantastic. Our family of 4 went here for dinner. We love Sushi and were excited to try a new place close by. Unfortunately, we walked away disappointed. The restaurant itself is small. This was the 2nd time we visited, as we left for our 1st attempt because it was packed and had a long wait. They had one server and she was friendly but not super attentive. It took forever to get our food and when we did, we eventually realized we didn't get all of it. I pointed out that we should have gotten salad and miso soup. They did bring it to us once we pointed it out. The food itself was just okay. Very mediocre. In my opinion, you can get better atmosphere, better service, better food and better value elsewhere. read more

First time visiting and it was great! I came right at the end of their lunch special, which is such a great deal. Two classic roles for $15 and then I got a $5 mini avocado roll. But that much sushi for $20 is amazing. It was quiet when I got there at 3:30 but the server mentioned they'd had a very busy day so far. She was really kind and they had my food to me quickly. It was delicious!! I got the Vegas roll (a little too much sauce for my personal preference but I still devoured it and it was very good). The veggie tempura roll was perfect, some places I've ordered this before the roll is so big I can't eat it in one bite! And I appreciated that you could choose to have the mini rolls made inside out (rice on the outside). It was bright, cheerful and tidy inside. All in all, I'll definitely be back. read more

Lunch special is fantastic! We've been in twice now. The first time the server was so kind and considerate and helpful. The second time the server also was very welcoming however could have gotten a better tip if they had given me change that included $1 bills not just 2 fives. In any case the sushi is good. So at the time I went, there was a review, with pictures, that said their food was not so great. I personally disagree. The portion sizes and quality for the price were amazing. I ordered an eel roll, and a variety of nigiri, as well as the gyoza. The gyoza were crisp and delicious, when ordered fried, and stood out as being some of the better gyoza I've tried. The eel roll was delicious, and well balanced. The sauce on the roll was a standard eel sauce and worked well to complement the natural eel flavor. All the nigiri were well portioned and almost felt like too big a bite. For the price, I was genuinely impressed. In terms of the service, there was a slight miscommunication. I had intended to order one order of certain nigiri, and two tuna rolls, but I didn't get any tuna rolls and got duplicate tuna nigiri and eel nigiri, as well as my Maguro Nigiri. Honestly wasn't bothered, but would suggest double checking large orders with the customer to make sure you got them right. The space was pleasant and on theme for the restaurant.
