I rarely write reviews for non-food establishments but felt compelled to write about my experience. I was told that my front alignment was severely damaged. Being new to the city, I was recommended this place by a friend. I called the owner, Carlos on a Friday and was told to bring the car in on the following Monday. The mechanic(s) fixed it within 2 hours - I just walked to the Starbucks next door to get some work done in the meantime. When it was finished, Carlos walked over and let me know it was finished. Recently I had the good fortune to have a headlight out, or so I thought! I needed a repair and a tire check, to be sure I was operating safely. I happened to see Carlos pop up as nearby with fantastic reviews. Luckily it turned out that my headlight just needed an adjustment, and my tires were ok. Carlos was kind, respectful, and had everything checked properly, then made sure to answer my questions and I appreciated it. Dishonest mechanics. I went in for my check engine light on reading for the EGR Valve. I replaced the valve but the light stayed on. Went to this mechanic and they said it was my cars computer being faulty. They took out my original computer and put in a used one. As I drove off the check engine light came back on. I immediately turned around and told him, and he explained that he'll have to take another look at it. But I told him since it wasn't the computer, my old computer (which he tried keeping) was good. I told him if I can have my old computer back and he said yes. Pretty sure they resell them. Didn't come back. Went to another mechanic and he told me all it was the EGR Vacuum. It needed replaced. A small part next to the EGR Valve. Simple and affordable fix. I spent hundreds here without a fix. And my other mechanic said any decent mechanic would've known. And he doesn't know why they would even take out my cars computer without checking the Vacuum first. Don't recommend. I've warned ya read more

I'm Julie's husband and she just turned me on to Yelp. Affordable Care specializes in Honda vehicles and the owner is Carlos. He used to work at a Honda dealer until he opened up his own shop over 15 years ago. He's been working on my cars over 10 years. He serviced my 1983 Honda Prelude which I drove over 200k miles and now I take my 1999 Honda Accord to his place. This car currently has 186k miles on it and still rides smooth. Carlos is a honest businessman and never tries to upsell services you don't need. His rates are probably about 20% cheaper than the Honda dealerships. The biggest plus with Carlos is that I've never had to take my car back the next day after getting it serviced. You guys know what I mean. Carlos' team does quality work. The only downside to Affordable Care is their hours. They open 8 to 5 Monday through Friday and are only open 8 to 12 every other Saturday, so be prepared to miss some work. Let me put it this way, I love this place so much Im writing this while my cars in the shop, simply because I should've done this a long time ago. Carlos and his crew are the best. I could give many examples, but I'll highlight the fact that our Kia Optimas engine blew, 2 months after paying it off, and after the warranty expired. Most mechanics would've smelled blood in the water and feasted. Carlos gave me great advice and gave me the confidence to call Kia and convince them to replace the engine for free. They even ended paying us for our troubles. Who does that? Carlos does. That's who. From oil changes to blown engines. He will not steer you wrong. So lucky I found this place. Carlos is such a humble and honest guy. I went to a mechanic and they told me my Honda Civic had a blown head gasket. I recently just purchased it. Not feeling to sure I went to Carlos who informed me it was my ignition coils. I decided to go ahead and let Carlos and his crew work on my car.
