On Friday, the 14th, I called for a fuel delivery and was told that a delivery would be made on Saturday the 15th. Well, no one came. I called for an explanation and was told that frozen pipes would not permit the delivery truck to be supplied with fuel. I was told the problem would be remedied with a blow torch and that by 10:30 am that morning the truck would be on the road. In mid afternoon, when no one came, I called again and was told the truck had been disabled by a clutch breakdown and that I would be supplied first thing in the morning, Sunday, the 16th. Well, Sunday came and went and NO ONE showed up. Sunday evening, a company representative called and said a delivery, marked as "urgent", would be made on Monday, the 17th. Of course, no one came, on Monday, the 17th, and no one called. Totally unprofessional business behavior. Totally undependable. Totally unreliable. read more

Adorable Fuels has been delivering oil to our home for over 21 years. In the process of selling and they are looking to charge us $130 for a dip test to measure the oil in our tank. Oil tank is outside and easily accessible. So much for customer loyalty... Very disappointed and will not be using them in our new home. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BASEMENT, LOW-CLASS OIL COMPANY!!! I Ordered Fuel from this small mom and pop business using their website. I entered my tank size it(250 gallon), credit card info and they billed me for 250 gallons. I want to fill tank so I figured like other companies I dealt with in past they just refund the difference if my tank took less then 250 gallons. It only took 175 gallons. Some old cranky delivery guy shows up two days later yelling that they've been trying to call me and I never answer the phone, He continues to Baulk that he has to check my oil tank first. He walks inside with attitude trailing grease foot prints on my carpet! At this point I knew I would never deal with this company again. I waited a couple of weeks and no refund for the difference. I called the office and some cranky old man answered the phone, I assume it was the same jerk that came to my house to deliver the oil. When I informed them I never received the refund for the difference, he gave me an attitude again telling me they dont give refunds "its too much work, its not his fault I dont know how many gallons I need" , and that they will only give me credit for more fuel from them. Thank goodness I paid with Amex, I called and disputed the charges. This amature company is not the only game in town, there are plenty of others to deal with, STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!!! read more

We had a new oil burner installed. The two technicians from Affordable fuel Elkin and Matt couldn't have been more knowledgeable or professional. They showed up on time and did a great clean up at the end of the day. The price of the new boiler was very reasonable. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone considering upgrading their boiler system. read more

This is one of the lowest costing Fuel company's that I have found. People are very nice service is very good. They will deliver within a day or two of ordering. They will do COD, and Credit Cards (credit cards, you have to tell them how much and that is what they will deliver, If you asked for too much they will leave you a company credit for later deliveries) If you are low on fuel and they have someone in the area that day they will try to deliver the same day. read more

I've been using these guys for oil deliveries for a few years now. They are prompt, courteous, and the office personnel are very nice on the phone. I order my oil as a COD basis, which I prefer to do, but I believe they also offer service contracts and other options as well. read more

Stephen H in the last week-Edit I called to have work done on my oil boiler. Appointment scheduled for Weds Nov 4th between 12:00-4:00. She said it would cost about $129 plus parts and I agreed. On Weds at 1:00 I called to find out what the schedule was as the tech had not arrived yet. She called the tech and was told he was behind schedule and she told me about 2:00. At 3:00 i called again and was told he was still on the last stop and would be here about 4:00. He showed up at 5:30, took a look at my boiler and told me it was too late to do the repairs. I then asked for an estimate since he knew what had to be done. He told me he could not give me an estimate as that had to be approved by the office. I told him to call the office which he did from his truck. He came back and told me he could not get approval as the office was closed and they went home. It was 5:50 and the office was open until 6:00. Even he complained about the office people. He told me they would call the next day and I told him "don't bother" as I was frustrated that I had wasted the entire day and got nothing in return. Well they may be Affordable but they ain't RELIABLE. Glad they didn't touch my boiler. read more
