She was fairly outgrown and I showed Yan some photos of cuts I liked and he did exactly want I wanted. YAY! He even texted me to ask if I wanted to come peek at her to make sure I was happy with what he had done. Our dog is 57 pounds with poodle type hair so I know she's not an easy dog to groom but he did a fabulous job! Wow my Dog is excellent at communication about appointments and estimated arrival of the groomer. But I had found out that the manager, who was always there happened to be on vacation. The week we left our dogs and whatever staff was there. Did not do what they are supposed to do to take care of my dog at the time. But in 2024, we dropped our dogs off and the manager, and another long time the staff member was there and they took excellent care of our 2 dogs as they normally had done in the past several years. Except for that one year when the manager was gone. Her and her son were great.I know the son left and went to another vet office. I feel bad because I cannot remember their names as I write this post.But the regular clientele would know who i'm talking about in this review Anyway, I'm going to miss them. I was sad to find out that the veterinarian, who owned the hotel and the vet office retired.And sold everything to the city of stockton. I hope that the staff does read this post and know that they are going to be dearly missed by us.And i'm sure many others

We always leave on our trips knowing full well that our girls are in the best hands. She spends plenty of time with your animals at each visit. Our girls always seem sooo happy to see her when she comes over. She is great with any little items you need for your home as well, taking mail in, watering any plants, putting out the trash, picking up after the doggies, etc (we try not to abuse her, though she makes that very hard bc she is sooo sweet and always so gosh darn helpful with everything). I arrived early for my dog's appointment to find that the neighborhood was rougher than expected…read more There was road construction in front of the business blocking what appeared to be the one and only spot for street parking. As I headed down the side street of auto shops and junkyards mixed in with rundown late 20th century homes I began to brood. I found a spot to park and waited a few minutes until it was closer to my appointment time. Just as I exited my car, I saw a huge, loose German Shepherd walking near the back of my car. I stood and watched as he sauntered westward down Worth Street causing the myriad of dogs along the way, chained in yards and in cages and running loose in yards, to explode in barking, growling, jumping aggression towards him. Think of the Fresh Fish scene in Shawshank redemption. The shepherd was completely unphased. I waited for him to reach California before taking my 15lb dog out of the car. We walked very quickly down the middle of the street to our own chorus of maniacal barking and rushed inside the California Cat and Dog Hospital. When the door closed behind me, I attempted a deep breath of relief but the smell of ammonia, and other unknown and unpleasant odors, began immediately burning my nostrils. My disillusionment was growing rapidly as I walked up to the front counter and gave my name an appointment time. I looked to my left and saw a bulletin board with a photo of Dr. Kim that had a quote from him saying "Every pet that comes into the clinic is my pet!" and I immediately started to feel better. After a few minutes, his son Dr. John brought us back and I explained why we were there and what we needed. I noticed immediately that he was very kind and attentive. He actually physically examined my dog and listened to her chest and back with his stethoscope. He walked us through our options and was instead of presenting us with an estimate listing every fee, he advised us the approximate cost and was willing to be flexible with blood tests and some exams that weren't absolutely necessary at the moment because he understands they can be costly. We decided to to everything he advised regardless of cost and he was able to take our pup in and take care of her. When she started to come out of anesthesia, the staff called us and we were able to get there right away to pick her up. We were very surprised at the affordable cost, even with all the of things that were done. We also asked for pain medication for her and were given a little to take home at no extra cost. We could not have been happier with the care we received at California Dog & Cat Hospital! This place is so great that it was suggested we keep it to ourselves, but there can be no gatekeeping, especially with care like this so I had to write this review. I realize it is lengthy and possibly overly descriptive, but I think it was important because if you are willing to endure the location and the smells, you will be rewarded with gentle, affordable care for your fur babies. P.S. I logged in to write this on Feb 12 and they have updated/notified yelp that they will be closed (Lunar New Year). Most businesses can't even be bothered to put in their correct regular hours on the site so it's just another reminder of the thoughtfulness of the doctors here. I am so happy we found this place.

We've had Hanna as our pet sitter since we moved to Morada in 2019. She's always been wonderful…read morewith all of our guys (5 cats and 2 dogs). We always have her spend 24/7 with our crew when she's got them all. When it's just our cats she sleeps here but does visits for other pets. Our dogs are always so excited to see her and our two shy cats are out and about enjoying her company when she's here though they hide when anyone else comes over. Hanna always takes lots of photos and sends them to us. A side benefit is that her photos are the ones that end up on our Christmas card every year!!!

I think Rose was the one who said she takes care of the dogs and she was very informative when checking in my dogs as well as letting them be in the same kennel due to one of my dogs having anxiety , thank you 209 Pet Club even bathed my dogs for free due to my dogs getting muddy from the rain , we will be coming back here for our next boarding !
