We had Grant and his crew completely refurbished our pool almost exactly 10 years ago. The quality of the work was excellent and has held up perfectly. We used fairly expensive glass tile in the pool which requires special handling when deep cleaning. We tried some other pool services and none of them were responsive or had a clue what to do with the glass tile. We contacted Grant and had the job completed within a week of contacting them. Great pool store for supplies, water check, etc. Staff is always friendly super helpful. Recently wanted to replace my single speed motor to a variable speed motor. From the get go, I got "guided" to a Pentair even through I was interested in a Hayward because of the high efficiency score. An in person visit was scheduled for 9:00 am and they showed up at noon. That was about 1 1/2 weeks ago and I still haven't gotten an estimate. I won't be changing my in person visits to affordable, but for service calls, I think I will make other choices. read more

We had Bob's pool service until he sold to Affordable Pools...what a shame. In the first few weeks Affordable said the filter needed cleaning. Days afterward the water began looking dirty. We called Affordable who said we needed a new motor as it wasn't circulating water through the filter (was working before). Affordable installed a motor for $800 and said that would solve the matter. Nothing changed as the pool looked a little worse each week. Two months later and after a number of calls Affordable admitted the filter wasn't installed correctly. There was no adjustment to the bill. The following month we were notified their costs have increased and our monthly fee would be raised by $45. We were having our street repaved and asked Affordable to skip one weeks cleaning as the street would be closed to traffic. The didn't show and we haven't returned for three weeks as of this date. They don't respond to calls. Affordable Pools bought a good company and within months ruined what had been a great relationship with a pool company. We are now looking for a new cleaner...I wouldn't recommend Affordable to anyone. read more

This review is regarding pool services. We had affordable pools servicing our pool for several years. We were very happy under the previous owner. After the company was sold the service was ok. They were not consistent. More recently the service was even worse. I had to call multiple times about the pool not being cleaned and it was still cloudy and green on the walls after they would clean it. Our dog was occasionally in the yard on the other side of the pool fence and rather than knocking on the door or calling us, they would leave and not even sift it or clean the filter. I was promised a supervisor would call and was given their email in which I shared my concerns because I didn't want to leave a review. No call and no response. We found another pool service and they cleaned our filter and said it was the worst they've seen. It wasn't being cleaned even though we pay extra for it. Maybe because their heavy load of clients or lack of training is the reason but it was disappointing when we were kind in sharing our concerns and they were not responsive. read more

I have been going to affordable pool supply for at least 10 years even the higher price items I purchase through them during there yearly sale, Have never experience bad service in the store. Recently I purchased a Whisper flow pool pump from them and had scheduled them to install in last Friday, They called me on Thursday to set up a time for the install and I had someone at my house waiting for the tech for 2-1/2 hours. After about 4 hours of waiting I called the office to let them know I was not happy about the service and when someone was going to show up. No one ever showed up, no one called me to apologize & no one called to reschedule the install. If this is how the service department does work what a bunch of Crap! Your only as good as you weakest link, if the service is shitty then the review will be shitty. I will be taking my business down the street. I have used Affordable for several years. It was rarely a simple process. A year ago, I hired them to do my weekly service and the tech did a good job. Then they made a billing error and I called on three separate occasions to get the issue rectified, without affect. No one in billing would take, nor return my call even when it was marked "URGENT".
