Dr. Hall and his team at Affordable Veterinary Clinic are a model to follow for solid medicine and great bedside manner. As I am not from Arizona, I turned to Yelp for guidance and am so happy that I was able to find his practice. Not only are the prices EXTREMELY reasonable, but the care is outstanding. His team did a thorough work-up of my puppy and were gentle and loving every step of the way. Friendly Staff and you can tell they genuinely care about your pet. Unlike other clinics that push unnecessary medical expenses, these people work with your income. I highly recommend this veterinarian clinic to all pet owners. Exam fee is $45 and you get $5 dollars off referrals. We are vacationing in one of the rv resorts and our dog was attacked in the dog park. We didn't realize he was bitten on the rear leg until the next morning. We brought him in right away and the staff was so compassionate, they viewed his wound and even though they were booked solid they still fit us in. They set up an app for the afternoon, we returned to the same exemplary service. Dr Steven Hall was so kind with our dog, he even got on the floor with him to clean up his wound. The price was so reasonable. I wish I had this vet clinic in Oregon as I would certainly return for all my dogs needs. I highly recommend this clinic. read more

"ZENA," formerly Calypso Fin Bheara, our beloved nine (9) year old exotic ruddy Abyssinian cat who has been on a prescription renal diet for early-onset kidney disease for last two (2) years was taken in for her annual wellness check and vaccination(s.) Upon arrival and consultation with Steven Hall, D.V.M., given her medical history and record, it was decided to run a full clinical diagnostic laboratory chem 25 test panel; to include SDMA, which is a relatively new/novel clinically-significant biomarker for kidney function. 24 hour rapid turnaround-time for the reference laboratory test results revealed a slightly 'elevated/high' SDMA reading; which allowed us, with Doctor Hall's expert guidance, to make a better fully-informed decision in terms of dietary/nutritional modification to a new prescription renal care and support program. Doctor Hall even called us with the test results. The office personnel with the Affordable Veterinary Clinic are very warm and inviting, and it is obvious that they all genuinely love animals ... Dr. Hall and his team of Assistance are the BEST! We just moved here from California, I found this Veterinarian office on Yelp. I can honestly say that all of the reviewers are right when they say the office staff and Dr. Hall are the nicest of any other vet office we've been too! My Boston Terrier Sebastian that we fostered and eventually adopted has a severe case of dry eye, and it got really bad once we moved to AZ (Dry climate) One of Sebastian's eyes had ulcerated and I had yelped some animal optometrists in the valley, but all had some concerning reviews. So while in my search for a caring Doctor I came upon Affordable Veterinarian Clinic, the reviews are all good so I made an appointment. One of the best decisions I've ever made! Dr Hall saved my little boy's eye, and now there's a new eye drop he suggested that can help Sebastian's eyes start producing tears on there own! Once again I have had the best experience with this company and Dr. Hall. He is absolutely amazing and very sincere. He takes his time with each patient and always offers the best advice. Three years ago in November my husband and I had to make the hardest decision to have our dog euthanized so we immediately looked for a vet to go to and my husband came across this fabulous veterinary and Dr and I am forever thankful!! Before Dr. Hall made any decision to euthanize our dog because she was 17 years old he wanted to evaluate her, after evaluating we made a decision that broke all our hearts but what was best for our fur baby that didn't need to suffer. Well, last night I called and left a message on their answering service about my dog needing yo be seen. They called me first thing this morning and got us in in the afternoon. All day I was expecting to hear the worst news possible and he surprised me with no it is not her time just give her these meds and let her heal she has some time left :-) can I just say I am one proud fur baby mama and I can't thank Dr. Hall enough and his wonderful staff!! My partner and I brought Bennett, our Brindle Boxer into Affordable Veterinary Clinic on April 23, 2016. We needed to get a refill on his heartworm medication and we were not at all happy with our previous veterinarian. We were very pleasantly surprised at the attentiveness, care and professionalism of everyone in Dr. Hall's office. Bennett also had a very stinky recurring yeast infection in his ear that would just not go away... Dr. Hall and his assistants were simply amazing with our Bennett and also with us! It was so refreshing to have a Dr. actually take time to listen to you (and our dog) and spend quality time at the appointment without rushing or trying to sell us procedures or medicines that are unnecessary. Our bill was very affordable at only $92 for two ear medicines and a script for the heartworm prevention. We are very, very happy with the outcome of our visit and have decided that this clinic and Dr. Hall will be the best vet care for our Bennett from now on. DO NOT RECOMMEND! The receptionist Brenda is very rude. When attempting to ask questions about the clinic, she is very defensive and this is not an overall good representation of the clinic. I attempted to ask for office manager and she stated, "They are not and will not be available" and hung up on me. VERY RUDE and NO customer service etiquette. read more

My cat had been very sick all weekend and after reading all the reviews, I called first thing Monday morning to try to get an appointment. I was told they could see her in two weeks! Really? You couldn't ask for a Dr with more concern for your pet.

I took my dosile 11 year old dog in for a nail trim. I explained to Dr. Hall that he has a long quick as he was a farm dog for most of his life prior to coming to live with us, so to please only tip his nails. Dr. Hall disregarded this and seriously cut the 2nd nail causing my dog to bleed excessively. We then were asked to place a mussle on the dog, which we agreed to do after Dr. Hall caused him so much pain and we wanted to ensure that everyone was safe in case he cut him again. I was then charged for my dog being a "difficult" dog to complete a pedicure on, which was $25.00 although my dog allowed Dr. Hall to complete the rest of the trim, with a distrust of this man who had cut him, and never having worn a mussle. When I called back to ask why they had rated him like this as it was the vet's error that he had cut the dogs nail so badly the secretary argued with me that he was a difficult dog because they had to mussle him, which was on thier suggestion and then proceeded to hang up on me when i explained that it was not the dogs fault, that he had been caused pain to the dog and that he should not be classified as difficult, or should I be charged for that as it was the vets error. I would NOT recommend this vetrinarian to anyone...ever. His staff was rude and unprofessional. I asked to speak with the vet directly and was ready to leave my name and number for him to return the all when the secretary continued to argue, refused to take my name and hung up on me. read more

I started going here because of, well, the affordability. But I'm staying because of the doctor. He is genuinely a very caring person, which is rare to find in both people and animal doctors (and as a RN I deal with plenty of people doctors). He took his time making my dog feel comfortable (which is an amazing feat in itself since my dog is easily sketched out by strangers). After my dog somewhat trusted him he would very minimally and careful do his doctoring work while keeping my dog comfortable, and working with her opposed to against her. Furthermore, he is also very personable and remembered several details from about a year ago about some personal things I had shared with him. This was my second visit, and just as good as the first. I will definitely come back and so should you! Don't support big chains like the Petsmart hospital clinics. Yes, I'm sure they are competent and will get the job done, but you're not going to get the personal attention that you and your animal deserve. read more
