Came here with some friends after karaoke and it was pretty good! The price and size of the skewers were good too. My favorites were the chicken skin, lamb, pumpkin cake and rice cake

Came here after an event with a group of 6 people. It's a very straight forward concept of late night munchie skewers. They have a variety of skewers that you can order from a tablet. The food took quite a while for it to come. Quality of the food was great! Price-wise, you're basically expecting to pay LIC prices. Otherwise very decent late night spot. I was told they do last call around 3am.

I came here recently for dinner and had a great time-- so much so that I came back again in less than a week. This new Chinese skewer spot in LIC is open until 4am and is a great late night spot. You order on an iPad here and they bring the food out to you. Service is pretty quick and you can definitely do walk-in. Because they are a newer spot, they don't have as much selection as some other skewer spots I've been to (but hopefully they'll start to offer more later!). I ordered a variety of skewers as well as their noodles and dumplings. The size of the meat pieces were really big and so the meat was juicy! The noodles were also solid and I enjoyed their dumplings. Would definitely come back more often and cannot wait to see how they continue to improve as they're open longer!

Solid late night skewer restaurant with delicious food! Everything on the menu is solid, but my favorite thing to get is actually the stinky tofu! You place orders on an iPad at your table and the food is served pretty quickly (though it can take longer during busier periods). They're open until 4am so it's perfect for late night cravings or a post-night out snack. Plus I've never had to wait for a table. The space is very casual and no frills, but clean and spacious with a decent amount of seating.

Wow. I was shocked by how flavorful, juicy, and crispy these skewers were. They were well seasoned and even my Chinese friend said they were better than all the places she had in CA and some in China. My favorites were the beef, pork belly with enoki mushroom, shredded potatoes, and brown sugar rice cakes. Each bite was a flavor explosion in my mouth, I loved it. Tender meats + spice + cumin = YUM. The brown sugar rice cakes had a crispy exterior with a mochi like interior and was topped with a lightly sweet brown sugar sauce and what I assume is peanut powder. Whatever it was, the dessert was delicious. The lamb and quail eggs were solid too. They are light on the spice so go higher on the levels. Service was great and it's a perfect spot for a casual lunch, dinner, or late night snack. I would highly recommend coming to AfterNight BBQ. I'll definitely be back.

You go through the line and pick what you would like and add it to your tray, paying for the total at the end, where the condiments and utensils are located. The bar is in the center of the place. You come in and seat yourself, and honestly, the TVs are everywhere, so don't worry too much about not getting a good table. You'll be able to watch your game from anywhere. The actual food was great-the brisket was beautifully seasoned and very tender. We were honestly so addicted to it. The wings, especially the dry rubs, were honestly perfectly done-they had a nice char and smokiness, but the flavors were strong. All the sides paired perfectly with the different meats, and THAT CORNBREAD??? Man, I could eat a hundred of those. I think my favorite sides were the greens and the mac n cheese, super comforting. Also, the pitchers they had were honestly great and perfect for big crowds. I would 1000% recommend this kind of sports bar for bigger groups of friends. Honestly, it's a great place to spend the evening when you don't know what to do or what to eat.

I…read moredo assume that the cover they've been charging during big sports games probably helps, but the last time I was here it was only half full and the line to get food wrapped around the entire place and was almost out the door. There has to be a better way to organize this. All that aside, Pig Beach is where you want to come when you're craving BBQ on a nice day. The venue is mostly outdoors with a few indoor tables and two bars. Drinks here are well priced and the specials are even better - I paid $5 for a tequila spritz last time I was here. The meat here is really tender and the sides absolutely slap. Even if you're coming here with a vegetarian there are solid options - the mac and cheese and cole slaw are my favorites. Also I never thought I'd be okay with paying $7 for pickles but the half sours here absolutely slap. Last time I went here I had the ribs which were huge and tender, and the jalapeno cheddar sausage that I def didn't need but it was so, so good. If you're coming here to watch a popular game, get here early to snag a spot.

They proactively told us what was still available and even said that if we're ever coming late again, we can call ahead and they'll hold what we want. We grabbed a seat, watched some hockey, and settled in for some great barbecue. I tried burnt ends for the first time, and they were easily the standout. Melt-in-your-mouth tender with the perfect amount of smokiness. The beef brisket was excellent too, and they gave us buns to make sandwiches along with three different sauces to try. We also had the collard greens and baked beans, the two sides still available, and both were packed with meat and tons of flavor. I'll definitely be back, both for more burnt ends and to try everything we missed.

There are several flatscreens for watching the games. This Long Island City neighborhood spot up the slight hill from the Queensboro stop on the 7 Train is a standout for the ribs and brisket, but the stars of the show here are the burnt ends and their inhouse cured and smoked pastrami. Do not sleep on the Pastrami Reuben sandwich here. I am thoroughly convinced this is the best Reuben in all of the five boroughs. Once you have their Reuben at John Brown, you will have it each and every time you visit. This Friday, I ordered the Reuben and the salad with the brisket as the added protein option. The salad was fresh and the brisket plentiful atop the greens, tomatoes and cucumbers with ranch dressing. The Reuben was stellar as usual and they are generous with the smoked pastrami. The salad and the coleslaw on the Reuben balanced the savory smoked pastrami and the salad's own brisket. I took home a half pound of burnt ends and another half pound of smoked pastrami. So good...John Brown my not be the best barbecue spot overall in the five boroughs, but their smoked pastrami is undefeated. That smoked pastrami Reuben is undefeated and is the quiet star at John Brown. One more thing, there is a most kind and helpful Senora who works the floor, clearing and cleaning the tables, and will bring your food to your table when your order comes up. Please treat her with respect and tip her accordingly. She remembers faces and will recognize you after only a few visits. I look forward to seeing her every time. 4 stars!

I would gave them a 2 star for yesterday's experience. First, the place was empty on a Friday night at 10:00pm. Probably have 3 takeout order while we were sitting down. The first time I went was on a weekday night back in December, and there were more patrons. Not sure if the place is going down hill, but they dont have slushies anymore. We had the mango slushies the first time, and the only drinks available was whatever bottle drinks they have in the fridge. Mind you, they dont serve you water, so you have to get drinks since the food is garlicky or spicy. We wound up getting the milk tea ice rice this time. It was ok. I never tried it, but the rice is a bit hard. I won't order again. Best dish is large eggplant. Very flavorable, maybe a bit too garlicky. Will order this again. Also, the chicken wing is huge, for the price of $3 each. Thats why we ordered 2 chicken wing this time. But, I think it wasnt grilled as nice as my first time. Still good since it is a lot of meat for the price of $3. Lotus root is also pretty good, glazed with sugar. The worst i would say is the lamb, a bit too chewy, lack of flavor. The bathroom has all sorts of postcard of famous album. I found that pretty neat. Lastly, I think the squid tentacles is much smaller than before.

It was so cold out the night I went so I was very happy they kept it nice and warm inside the restaurant. There's a very large selection of skewers, they have basically everything you could want. I especially appreciate that you can order just one of any skewer, unlike some other places where certain types only come in orders of 3 etc, allowing you to order a large variety even if you're dining alone. The seasoning was delicious, and every skewer was not coated in identical seasoning. None of it was spicy at all if that's what you're looking for, but none were lacking in flavor. The meat was juicy and you could taste the smoke from the grill. I loved the different textures of vegetables which were all well cooked. I'm still thinking about the crunchy exterior of the rice cake. I think my favorite skewer was the lotus root, which was perfecting complimented by the seasoning mix. An amazing meal! 16 skewers came out to less than $50. I look forward to returning!

The place is LOUD albeit with good taste of retro, 90's music and not the modern trash that floods the radio waves so I can rock with that. Place is sized pretty well with an outside seating area and plenty of tables inside the albeit dimly lit bar/restaurant. Coming into the place I was greeted by a blonde woman who seemed to be a supervisor of the area. She directed me to a comfortable seating area and a server took my order afterwards. The place was relatively busy so the wait for my food was kind of in the long range, about maybe 15 minutes. I ordered Chicken & Waffles with Iced Tea and the food was definitely worth the wait. That chicken was so good, a bit on the crisp side but it's solid in taste. The Waffle had such an awesome texture with the right measure of powdered sugar, decorated with Blueberries and Strawberries, the entrée was plated very well. The Iced Tea, I didn't know it was unsweetened so that threw me off but some sugar kinda fixed that. Service was also 'A' Tier. The place was busy so it was a tad on the slow side but they were very attentive. About 3 different servers tended to me whether it was about my order, how I liked it and paying for the bill when I was finished. That's dedication and I always give props to that. I enjoyed my visit here.
