Was in long island city for a meeting and walked by this place. Its a Korean bbq with sushi, and its Halal, so no pork. The space is large and and AYCE. The quality of the meats was high. They also cooked all your stuff, so thats different, but efficient. The service was fast and friendly. I was stuffed. Bill was 80$ including tip and worth every penny.

price - $60 per person after tax and tip during DINNER food - 5/5 service - 5/5 ambiance - 5/5 the meat quality were soooooo good. i literally tried everything on the menu because i was so excited with all the different options. my fav were definitely the marinated meats because they were so juicy and savory after cooking it up! the service was amazing as all the waiters literally took so much time to make sure that we are doing well and are eating well especially since we had a party of 22 guests. we didnt stop eating! the ambiance was definitely more casual but i think that everyone loved the interior design so it was really spacious! definitely check this ayce kbbq spot for such a price!

Ambiance (5/5): Seems like a really fancy place with décor. During dinner, the room gets really smokey but when we came at noon on a Thursday, there was only 2 other parties there. The air was clean. Moderate club music playing in the background. Service (5/5): Staff was awesome and helped to cook, cut, serve the meat. Even for a party of two, the gratuity is auto added at 20%. The bill is not overt unless you look at the full receipt in the back!! We came for their lunch special ($25 for Korean bbq only, $5 extra for sushi all you can eat) and we opted for the additional $5. The kbbq options for lunch are only for the beef thin brisket and the beef bulgogi, both of which were shitty quality. The meat was tough to chew. We were happy that we selected the sushi because the rolls were better than the beef. If you look at the online menu, black text = lunch only. The limited menu for the lunch was not great for meats, but for $30 AYCE price with sushi, then it's good. If the basic meat options aren't good, I'm not coming back to try the dinner selection...

Been eyeing Prime No. 7 for awhile, when they were located only in NJ, since it is a halal Korean BBQ restaurant (my SO only eats halal). Naturally when I found out that they opened a location in Astoria, I had to go. The restaurant is pretty big. Dinner menu is $50 while the lunch menu is $30 per person for 90 minutes of all you can eat. The lunch menu is very limited (chicken, vegetables, two types of beef and a small amount of appetizers). You can ask to cook for yourself. The banchan wasn't great. The ventilation didn't work well. We went for lunch. Skip the chicken, it's a bit ordinary and too filling. The beef brisket is better than the bulgogi. I enjoyed the corn with cheese and the spring rolls. Tip was already calculated in the bill. The restaurant gives Muslims the korean bbq experience, but not competitive to other Korean bbq restaurants if you are not restricted by a halal diet.

5/5 service AYCE lunch $30 5/5 garlic butter shrimp- foodgasm, well seasoned 5/5 spicy chicken- so tender 4/5 tteokbokki, beef belly, spicy beef bulgogi, marinated shrimp, spicy squid (needs more squid & less onion), teriyaki lamb (didn't stink) 4/5 Korean beef ramen - so good but so spicy, but where's the beef? 4/5 peach please $12 & mango mirage (spicy) $14 (mocktails not included in AYCE) 4/5 matcha Mille crepe cake (not included in AYCE) - really good but wish the cake itself was matcha flavored as well 3/5 cosmo kisses $12 - sour & a bit bitter cuz of the grapefruit 3/5 Shrimp fried dumplings, fish Katsu (tartar sauce was really good), spring rolls, fugly chicken bites, veg fried dumplings, veg fried rice, steamed custard egg, beef bulgogi (too sweet) 2/5 mozzarella corn cheese- cheese should be melted, this is supposed to be a hot dish 2/5 spicy lamb- couldn't eat much cuz it had that lamb stank

After hearing this was halal Korean BBQ, I have to give it a try. We went for their lunch AYCE for 29.99. The place looked nice. Clean and upscale. The young hostess was very nice. We were seated quickly and the booths are very spacious. There was a lot of variety of meats on the menu so that was a plus. The appetizers were good. The meats were great. The only problem is the service. The waitress came and took our order and after giving us our sodas, we never seen her again. The restaurant was practically empty so we don't know where she disappeared to. We had to flag down other waiters and servers to order more food, get more sauces, change the grill and to return our flat no fizz sodas. It was just syrup and water. Luckily the young waiter was running around and we were able to flag him down and help us. Thank god the tip was already included because I wouldn't have tip as much. Definitely not coming back.

Wow, where do I even begin? I love all you can eats, so I had high expectations for this place after reading reviews. Needless to say, they were beyond exceeded. We managed to get seated easily with no reservation on the day after Valentine's day. However, making one is reccomended. Everyone was welcoming and very helpful. You get a menu with a marker and you can choose up to 5 meats and 5 sushi rolls per round. We went with the premium which included a larger variety of meats and the extra creative rolls. They cook the food for you infront of you which I believe enhanced the experience; it takes away from the pressure and allows you to use the 90 minute time frame to just eat. The sushi was some of the best I've ever had. For the meat I highly reccomend the teriyaki chicken, beef bulgogi, and shrimp. The steak and lamb was perfect if you like richness and fattiness but I prefer leaner meat so I probably wouldn't go with the premium again unless it was only for the sushi. I highly reccomend this to anyone, even picky eaters! My boyfriend rarely likes new food and he's now obsessed with this place. Beware, however, you might eat with your mind at first and order way too much food They charge 30% for anything you waste (if you leave a small amount this won't happen). All in all this is a 10/10 place coming from someone who's hard to please. Don't hesistate!! Go here!!

I was really excited to try this place, but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. The service was awful from start to finish. The food and mocktails were both very underwhelming, and definitely not worth the high prices--they were honestly just not good. To make matters worse, when I asked to speak to a manager, I was refused. Instead, I had to deal with a server named Dave, who was very dismissive and didn't address my concerns at all. The place looks nice and is clearly set up to be Instagram-worthy, but that's about it. I would not recommend it--you're honestly better off going to Hot Spot.

NO DIET COKE! No diet soda at all actually. it's pretty bad for the price, theres a whole lot of other places that are way better bang for your buck. they charge extra for specific steaks that are on their online menu as included but charge an extra $6 per piece which is absurd. my father is also 76 years old and at every other bbq spot we go to they allow him get like a dish from the regular menu but they said they'd give us $15 off which is better than nothing. service was fine but the food and price and the little hidden costs not outlined in their website was a major disappointment. All the meat was super thin too and if you like your food medium rare it's pretty hard to do That here. Not the worst bbq spot I've been too but totally rather spend the extra 15 minutes going to flushing and getting way more for the same price. I definitely do not recommend, their premium menu has like 1 wagyu option meanwhile other places offer full wagyu AYCE for like $15 More than their premium menu price. Also all people sitting at the table have to pay for the same package, so if one or two of you don't want sushi but the rest want it you have to all pay the full price for the bbq and sushi. over-expensive and not at all a place I would recommend. They ended up letting us buy some diet drinks across the street and bring it in. The good: The rest of the food was pretty good, it was a nice like atmosphere and the staff were kind. Overall just very overpriced and not some place I'd like to go to again.

We saw this place had popped up in the neighborhood recently and wanted to try it. Glad we did. So delicious and the wait staff was very attentive. Especially David. He explained all the sauces and sides and gave the best recommendation on which meat to try. Food was delicious and he even helped to cook it to our preferred temperature. We didn't order any of the zero proof cocktails but others near by did and they looked great. Great atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

I've been anticipating this place to open for a while now. They've been teasing us on social media for over a year! Lol. Used to have to trek to Jersey for halal KBBQ, but now can save on tolls and just take a short MTA bus trip to Steinway. It's a brand new space and it has a fine dining ambience. I like the way they decorated the place. Perfect spot to celebrate occasions with friends and family. The KBBQ was all fantastic and I appreciate the waiters coming around and helping you cook and check on the meat every now and then. While I do keep my eyes on the stove and stir from time to time, it's nice to just enjoy focus on eating. Lol. They have a lot of meat options to choose from including lamb, which looked new to me (can't remember if the previous location had lamb too). They also have an extensive mocktail menu and I went for the lychee ginger drink. It was a bit too gingery for me, so maybe I'll try something else next time. Highly recommend getting reservations as this place does get crowded on weekends. The all-you-can-eat barbecue was $50 a person (I think it was a bit more expensive than the New Jersey location, but I understand this is a new place and they probably have expensive overhead to deal with). I like the crêpe cakes they gave at the end for dessert. Btw, gratuity is already included in your check and there is an option to tip more if you like. I'm so glad we have halal KBBQ in Queens now!

Absolutely DELICIOUS ! Ordering the premium bbq is worth it in my opinion. The Wodae Kalbi & the Ribeye Cap steak we chefs kiss !! I would return just for those alone. Generous portions and a bunch of sides given with the AYCE bbq. The side of spicy ramen is a nice addition to the bbq as well. The servers cook the meat for you, so you dont have to cook it yourself which is a nice touch. Another thing that stood out to me is that the mocktails are infused with Lions Mane !! Thats such a unique touch! The decor is really nice inside and great upbeat music. This is my new go-to korean bbq in Queens !

A friend had a bridesmaid dinner here so I came back a week later lol and I had a much better time. Could that be because I was with friends or because I had the entire menu now at my disposal, who's to say? We had a huge group of people (over a dozen) and the largest table seated 8 people so our party while next to each other did have a degree of separation. This time I had the opportunity to try the full appetizer and BBQ Menu and a mocktail as well. Our server was absolutely PHENOMENAL--as were the rest of the staff who helped out on occasion with our table. I can only imagine the stress of eight people asking questions and making requests while having to cook our BBQ simultaneously. He kept his cool, professionalism and was super friendly and explained everything to us every step of the way. I really enjoyed the fish katsu and boneless chicken appetizer particularly and the kimchi and vegetable rice was wonderful. The top steak and hanger steaks were my favorite of the meats (I forgot what degree of seasoning we selected but marinated or spicy is the way to go for some flavor). Everything comes with sauce so the ones that are unseasoned can be sauced up to your liking. I had the peach please mocktail because I was inspired by everyone else getting drinks but it wasn't anything to call home about. The peach flavor was absolutely present and was nice and sweet and there was a hint of green tea taste at the end. It came topped with a gummy Candy, mint and glitter. The only reason it's not a five star is because lord have mercy is it costly. But worth it for a special occasion. Also a random side, Prime is Muslim owned so I did request a space to pray and I was offered a spot behind the DJ which was incredibly tight. I'll pray anywhere so it was fine but just a humble request to please find a better place to accommodate Muslims who need to pray (solely because the establishment is Muslim owned and it would be great to help the homies out).

We got the large set for 4 and there was more than enough food for everyone. Didn't order any drinks, but the meat quality was excellent, and our server cooked everything pretty well so we could just sit back and enjoy. The service was top-notch too. They kept bringing out refills of the side dishes including steamed egg without us having to ask, which I always appreciate. We made a reservation, which I'd recommend especially on a weekend, and got seated right away with no wait. The set also came with vanilla ice cream at the end. Another nice bonus is that if you pay in cash (there's an ATM inside), you get about 10% off. If you don't mind spending a little more for really good quality and service, I'd definitely recommend this place!

I understand they're very busy and have bookings, but it was only about 45 minutes in. Anyways, the experience itself was great. They cooked all our food for us and everything was great quality. Banchans were refreshed and refilled - sometimes without being asked. We were very well taken care of. The pancake was good as well as the tartare. HIghlight was definitely the meat and banchans though. We all got ice cream at the end and birthday boy even got a candle in his with some sprinkles. Super cute and very nice of them.

Opening in 2015 in the heart of Koreatown in Midtown Manhattan, the Korean restaurant, Her Name is…read moreHan, was a great place for my wife and me to come for lunch during our 2nd day in NYC. They have great reviews and it is definitely warranted. The restaurant has a solid website, giving accurate information about the hours and menu. It indicated that weekday lunch time would be a good time to try their value-based lunch menu, letting us sample some of their dishes. We walked over from our hotel just before their opening time of noon, and got in line just as they opened. It was a decent size queue, but the dining space inside was large, and everyone in line was able to be seated (including us). Our main server was Jiwoong, and she was lovely throughout. A carafe of tap water was provided with two glasses, so we could refill our own water (I love this about Korean restaurants...wish other restaurants did something similar). Multiple servers interacted with us throughout, and the beautifully prepared food was delivered exactly on time, with the proper temperature. We ended up ordering 4 things. The non-ipa beer on tap was Ball Lightning Pilsner ($9 for 12 oz) and it was OK. Fried Cod Appetizer ($15) - coming out first, the five chunks of lightly deep fried cod was OK, enhanced by the tartar like sauce. There are four choices from the Lunch Premium Bapsang (a set meal with rice, Japanese equivalent is Teishoku), and we chose two of them. I had the Grilled Atka Mackerel ($19), and my wife had the Spicy Pork BBQ ($21). Both came with white rice, a light bean sprout soup (decent), kimchi (not my favorite), a simple green leaf salad, 3 banchans (loved the fish cakes), some grapes, and a light custard based dessert (which was good). I liked my mackerel, well prepared and fried. The pork was indeed spicy with good flavor. Reading about the restaurant later, learnt that the name came to the founder, meaning two things. 'Han' represents a uniquely Korean emotion of mixed grief, sadness, and hidden resentment...we know that we shouldn't feel this way, but we feel a bit better that other Koreans feel it too. It is also the last name of the founder's mother (most Koreans keep their last name after marriage), so the name is an homage (that's what I read on their facebook page) to her. The restaurant is part of the Resy network, and thus using our AMEX provided a $20 statement credit (once a month...this is my favorite sort of credit since the credit is entirely funded by AMEX, and the restaurant gets their full charged amount). Payment was handled at the table, and we were out in under an hour. As we were leaving, we noticed that there now was a queue to get in, so we came at the right time. In terms of the food, I thought the overall taste was good, but the service, extremely reasonable prices, beautiful presentation, and just the overall atmosphere bumped this up to a great rating.
