More a 4.5 then a 4. What a great experience. My family loves rodizio. This is so much better than the chains. Family says meat was excellent and tender. I'm a pescatarian and had the Chilean sea bass. Tender and lovely sauce. The servers were constant and coming around frequently which is always a problem else where. The market table was just enough. Not to overwhelming. The sides were warm and tender. The loss of 1/2 star is minor service issues. Water wasn't refilled until an eagle eye manager noticed and asked if we wanted more and another waiter noticed we needed refills in our sides because our waitress was occupied with a big table, the table got one round of meat that was a little too rare, but otherwise every other time perfect. I went to a Yelp event here a few months ago and I won a gift certificate at the event so I thought I'd share it with my mom. We got there early Sunday evening before the dinner crowd. Before I go into the food, the service was excellent, just as it was when I went to the event. Everyone was so friendly and helpful! The restaurant is so beautiful inside and impeccably clean. We started out by sampling items from the market area including salads, fresh mozzarella and tomatoes, charcuterie items, cheeses, and more. When we sat down we were given some of the delicious pao de queijo. I resisted asking for more, they are so addictive lol. After we gave ourselves a little time to settle down, we turned over the cards to green and the meat started to come around. It was an assortment of sausage, steak, chicken drumsticks and more. My favorite was the lamb, it was cooked perfectly but by that point-we were almost stuffed. There was also fried yuca, mashed potatoes, and fried plantain brought to the table. My favorite though, as was at the event, was the incredible grilled pineapple. It was just as delicious as I remembered and honestly, they should make it a dessert lol. Our meals included a choice of dessert for each of us and as stuffed as we were, I couldn't resist crème brûlée. It was one of the best I've had. My friend and I have been exploring Brazilian/Portuguese steakhouses on Long Island, and while the chains like Texas de Brazil and Fogo de Chao are solid choices, the independent steakhouses truly shine with superior service and food quality. Enter AG Steakhouse. My friend suggested we try it last week, and although I didn't realize it had just opened, I was eager to go! One of the wonderful things about AG Steakhouse is that they take reservations on OpenTable. While it wasn't overly crowded when we went, word is sure to spread about this gem, making reservations a smart idea. We made a reservation for 7:15 PM on a Friday. Despite being new, the restaurant had a good crowd enjoying their meals. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by two hostesses and promptly seated at a great table by the window. The restaurant's decor is stunning and feels brand new, with a huge bar welcoming you as you walk in. It's clear no expense was spared in creating this beautiful space. If you're new to the Brazilian/Portuguese steakhouse concept, don't worry. The key thing to know is to order the Rodizio, an all-you-can-eat experience. The magnificent "salad" bar offers much more than salad, but if you're a meat lover, pace yourself because the real star is the continuous service of various meats brought to your table. You control the flow with a green card for "go" (bring more meat) and a red card for "stop" (pause the meat service). Along with the salad bar, we were offered mashed potatoes, fried yucca, and fried bananas--all of which we gladly accepted. Once seated, we flipped our cards to green, and the meat started flowing! The service at AG Steakhouse was exceptional, making our dining experience one of the best. Lorena, our initial server, greeted us with a genuine smile and explained the Rodizio concept. Antonio periodically checked on us, offering house-made hot sauce and chimichurri sauce, both of which were delightful. Maria ensured our plates were always clean, and we never ran out of sides or drinks. Another attentive server, Mari, also made sure we had everything we needed. The entire team enhanced our dining experience without being intrusive. Now, about the food. While the meats were delicious, they were heavily salted--a common trait in these steakhouses. If you're sensitive to salt like I am, stay hydrated before, during, and after your meal to avoid feeling parched later. Despite the salt, the meats were fantastic, with highlights including the house specialty, Picanha, filet mignon, bacon-wrapped steak, lamb, and pork. The caramelized pineapple was a sweet treat. For dessert, I enjoyed the Tres Leches cake, which was very good, while my friend had the Chocolate Ganache cake. Despite feeling full, we managed to enjoy our desserts thoroughly. A final tip: if you start feeling full, take a break. Overeating can lead to discomfort, so listen to your body. What an unexpected treat to dine at AG Steak last evening, this true Brazilian steakhouse did not disappoint. From the hostess greeting us, the exotic Brazilian cocktails, a market table overflowing with fresh produce and charcuterie, we were off to an amazing start. From there, multiple passadoras began their parade bringing delicious cuts of meat till we all cried Uncle! Please try to leave a little room for desert, especially the Chocolate Mousse cake, which is milk and white chocolate, layered on a dark chocolate cake now forever one of my favorites!! This was truly an authentic, all you can eat, Rodizio experience that was exceptionally executed, delicious and simply out of this world! Even though our party was only four, the private rooms adjoining the main dining area looked perfect for corporate parties, showers and birthday celebrations. The food was excellent; the service was subpar. We will not go back. The food: the salmon was well cooked, tender, and seasoned. For the Rodizio, the meat was well seasoned and cooked. The mash potatoes were delicious, and there was a good variety at the market table. The dessert was within expectations. The service: The waitress checked on us twice during our stay, and afterwards remained over our shoulder as we were paying and leaving a tip. For someone who barely checked in to see how we were, her consistent presence at the end was completely unnecessary and offensive. Fabulous experience! What an incredible addition to the Brazilian Churrasco experience. The meats were excellent, they came out one after the other, and then asked if we would like anything in particular. Brunch was an incredible $50pp, can't be beat. The Market Table was smaller than Fogo but it was nice. The cheese bread was puffier than Fogo's but I prefer the Chimmichurri at Fogo. Dessert was delicious. And the drinks, Mmm! The best part of AG was the customer experience, there was always someone nearby in case you needed something and they constantly checked in. All of the meat was tremendous, and the salad bar had more than you can ever hope for with cheeses, meats, breads, all types of grilled vegetables and on and on. The grilled pineapples are one of my favorites for some reason, haha. The price is really reasonable as well and I am going to starve myself right before the next time I come back. read more

We went to our favorite Steakhouse tonight & they were spectacular as always. The food as usual was amazing! All the meats from the sausages to the top round were Excellent. The market bar was fresh & so filling as well. The rice & beans, the plantains & rolls were fresh & tasty as always. 4 stars only because there were a few small things but overall a good experience. The salad bar definitely needs work compared to other Rodizio places. The Radizio selections looked a little weak as well so just ordered steaks, that come with salad bar and all the trimmings. Staff is top notch and the dining room was very clean. Sangria was great. We went to AG Steakhouse this past Saturday night. Our first impression when we entered the restaurant was warm and inviting but very loud. We were seated quickly and the servers were right on top of things. We ordered drinks and they came quickly although 1 was wrong but corrected right away. The salad bar had something for everyone and everything was good. All 4 of us ordered the same thing, AG Rodizio. Meat was presented at a fairly quick pace. I'd have to say that with the exception of the lamb and fillet mignon, it was just average quality. Some of the cuts were actually tough to cut and even more difficult to chew (Ribeye & garlic steak). I wasn't impressed especially for the price we paid. We were never offered chicken or Abacaxi Pineapple. I will say our deserts were excellent. I'd probably wouldn't go back. read more

Visited today for Father's Day with my husband, 5 year old and teenage son. Considering the place was packed, the food was still great and the wait staff were always available and attentive. I arrived at 3:30pm so the brunch food was still available and most of the brunch items were still available. All the items on the Rodizio menu were available and plentiful. As soon as the staff noticed we got our items from the cold bar it's like the entire team came by with all the meat. We were amazed. It was awesome. The cold bar had fresh items. There was some sort of chicken salad that was absolutely delicious as well as the Caesar salad, I had 2 plates of both. When it came to the meat options, I do wish that they had additional pork and chicken items besides the pork ribs, sausage and chicken leg. I remembered towards the end about that we didn't receive the cheese bread and had to ask for it. But I received it quickly. Kids under 6 are free which is great. My 5 year old daughter really only ate loads of the salami from the bar. As a veteran family, they give us a military discount, which I appreciate. Overall, it was a great experience. I do recommend this place and will return to use my $20 dining card that we received. read more

The appetizers all the way to the meal were excellent. We started at the bar for their all evening happy hour. You must try the Mango Caperini, and then the fried cheese (forgot the real name :-)). Loved the service and ambiance of this restaurant. I've been looking for a good rodizio restaurant for some time now and I think I found it. Loved the rotation of meats presented throughout the meal. Diners have complained that the meats are too well done. I loved it. I truly prefer my steak medium or medium well but the meats here although mostly well done are tasty. My only concern was with the choice of vegetables and hot dishes at the time vegetable bar. Contracted food poisoning from them. On the way to Ruth's Chris Stake house for a birthday, we decided to stop at AG instead. Staff was welcoming on the walk in. After we ordered apps and entrees, entrees came out before the apps. Never received some of the apps to the point we had to remind them and told them we no longer wanted it since we already had entrees. My husband ordered a ribeye entree which came with two sides. The sides never came out. Again, had to remind them. When I did, the server said "it doesn't come with any sides" (after he actually took the order for it) So I asked to view the menu to show him and he didn't even apologize. By then, we were already done with our meal. Instead they offered us free desserts, which we were supposed to get anyway for a birthday. Not accommodating at all. Especially to POC. Not even 10 mins after leaving the restaurant, I felt sick. After visiting urgent care, I was told I had gotten food poisoning. read more
