The bowls are fresh and beautiful but also delicious. A great break from heavy vacation food we were eating all week!

Fried pickles had mixed reviews within our group. The texture was off. The flavor was just okay, not terrible, but just tasted like salt without extra flavoring. The seafood meals were the best. The shrimp po bo was seasoned well (not too salty) and the bread was soft. The fried catfish was seasoned well. The burger was okay. Nothing spectacular. Sides: the Mac and cheese was not good. The hush puppies were not good. They were extremely dense and lacked flavor. It tasted like it was only seasoned with salt. Broccoli was fine. Overall, I would say eat somewhere else. It's hit or miss with food.

This local restaurant and bar are inside a bowling alley and while I've had both okay and…read morenot-so-okay food in bowling alleys, over the years, you never really know what to expect. First of all, this is NOT a great place to go out for dinner, it's more like pub food at best. While the menu might look like an ordinary restaurant, for this area, the food itself is not fresh but mostly frozen, and on every instance where I've eaten there it's been overcooked and a little disappointing. Okay a lot disappointing, for lunch or dinner On several visits I would go in for a beer and the gutter balls, btw the gutter balls are no longer on the menu, and while the menu does have a lot going on I mean they have pizza burgers, wings, cheese sticks, fried mushrooms, fried pickles, chicken strips, and then an array of seafood. The seafood is where it gets really disappointing because in this area there's so much great fresh seafood everywhere, but it's not here. I mean frozen shrimp or fish and you have no idea where it came from is just not acceptable for an independently owned food venue. On my last visit for March madness pretty much everything that was fried was a serious disappointment. The grease apparently was pretty old and whoever was in charge of the fryer really, really overcooked everything. The appetizer sampler was just sad. I had decided to try the brisket and mac and cheese for $11, Wow talk about disappointing. The brisket was rubbery and tasteless, and the mac and cheese was maybe a tiny notch above what you get out of the box. Needless to say, I sent it back. Now the good stuff, this is a great place to go and watch a game as they have giant TVs that run the entire length of this long expansive room. Next is the beer, they've got some nice craft beers including one from my favorite brewery that's local in Gulf Shores, Big Beach Brewery and they've got Yingling on tap as well as shock top and a few others, a full bar. Finally, the service is not bad at all, every time I've been there there's usually decent or better service and, of course, it's attached to a bowling alley and an arcade which isn't a bad place to be, especially on a rainy day, for an outing with the family. The positives or the big takeaway, for me, are the hamburgers and cheeseburgers which are not bad, they're not amazing but they're not bad, the only fresh thing that I've had here is the lettuce and tomato on the burgers. Hey if you want to go in for some good fries and decent burgers and grab a beer watch a game this is for you otherwise definitely don't make this a place to go out and eat lunch or dinner you'll probably be disappointed. Bottom line: Gret for a game, a beer, and other options but not a good food option.

One of the standout touches is the little shop inside, filled with all kinds of great finds--soaps, mists, lotions, and even kitchen accessories. It's a fun bonus that makes the experience feel a bit more unique. We came in with a group of 16, and they were able to accommodate us in a separate space across from the main area, which worked out really well. If you're planning a visit with a large group, I'd definitely recommend calling ahead. Major shoutout to our server--she handled splitting the check six ways like a pro. Everything came out correctly and fairly close together, which is no small feat with a group our size. I ordered the mahi sandwich, and it was delicious. The bun was perfectly buttered, and the fish itself was flavorful and well-prepared. They also offer a salad bar if you're looking for something lighter. Prices are on the higher side, but that's pretty standard for seafood. Some dishes were served whole--bone-in and all--which caught a few people in our group off guard, but to me, that's usually a sign of freshness. The food did take a bit of time to come out, but given the size of our party, it was understandable. Overall, I really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back.

ATMOSPHERE Nothing too special about the atmosphere here. I just love that. It was nice clean open area with large windows and plenty of seating and easy to get around. The bar area look cool and the layout was nice. FOOD this is why you came here, right! All kinds of fish cooked all kinds of different ways. Delicious gumbo. Love that pimento cheese ball appetizer with that blueberry pepper jelly! For lunch, I had the meat and three. It was all good, especially the collard greens. SERVICE THIS WAS MAYBE SOME OF THE BEST SERVICE I HAD THE WHOLE TIME I WAS IN ORANGE BEACH THIS WEEKEND. OUR SERVER WAS SO AMAZING. I HATE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME, BUT SHE WAS ON TOP OF IT AND SUPER DELIGHTFUL. DRINKS The bar area looked really nice. Most of my table had iced tea which everybody enjoyed. I also got a beer from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I was very impressed by their beer selection and they are a verified venue on the Untappd app so you can go to that app to look at all the beer selection and even filter and sort the beers so that you can have an easier time selecting the proper beverage. It even came out in a glass that matched the beer that I had! I like that extra touch.

They had a meat and three sides which is a southern thing. I chose the fresh catch. with side salad, boiled red potatoes, and greens. I had asked the server for the salad first. But it was brought with the meal. The salad was fresh and crisp, with a surprise of a small Peppa dew pepper. Blazing red with a little heat and delicious. Haven't seen them in a restaurant ever. Unfortunately my fish and potatoes were cold, cold and butter congealed. The greens were warm and good I had also ordered the cornbread. It was refreshing to see that it wasn't the usual cake like kind, plus not the ultra sweet kind either. More bread like with a hint of sweetness. Delicious. The fish and potatoes had a nice flavor but unfortunately the cold food spoiled the experience. Since I was a guest of my sister I didn't say anything about the cold food. What a disappointment. Maybe when I return things will be better.

We love the service and of course the food is so awesome. The friendly weight staff comes around throughout your entire dining experience and provides so many awesome sides in addition to your dinner selections. The staff comes around and brings fried okra, smothered potatoes, and various other delicious southern side dishes. The food is so delicious and definitely remind you of HOME and the variety of menu items are perfect and so so so yummy. The 32 ounce mugs with your drink of choice is hilariously, huge and so generous... we also learned on this trip that you could purchase one of those jugs to go. The ambience is cool. It kinda reminds you of an old country restaurant with wooden benches and historical items, pictures, and memorabilia all throughout the entire restaurant. The biggest part and honestly a fun part for families is this is also the place that's coined "Throw em rolls" where they throw huge hat and fresh dinner rolls to your table so at any time you can see flying rolls throughout the dining room rooms. It's so much fun. I would definitely add this to your list if you are in the area to check out. The food, the service is really great and just a very simple, casual dining experience.

It can be hit or miss depending on what you order however, we have been enough to know and share with others what to order and what to stay away from. The following is from our most recent visit. We began the meal with a Cosmo and a Fairhope Brewery Blue Steel Sour. Both were very good. The Blue Steel sour has notes of blueberry. For an appetizer we ordered the cheese dip. It consist of three cheeses, including Gruyere, which is one of our favorites. The cheese also comes with feta cheese and a tomato relish over the top, which we find very good. It makes the cheese dip a little different than others. The tomatoes are very soft and the relish is on the sweeter side. My Wife got the chicken roulade. It was okay. The chicken was good however, it is wrapped in bacon and flash fried. In our opinion the flash fry isn't needed and it adds the risk of the bacon being overdone or burnt, which is what happened. The Parmesan risotto was a little gummy but had good flavor. The cream sauce that accompanied the dish was probably the best part. I got the fish sandwich and upgraded from sheepshead to grouper. You can get it fried, blackened or grilled. I chose grilled and it was really good. It was not the first time I have gotten the fish sandwich. The bun is a sourdough/Hawaiian roll hybrid. I got an order of fries to go with the fish sandwich. Their fries are really really. They're slightly battered and crunchy. Very good with ketchup or tartar sauce or both! If you visit I would suggest sticking to the fish sandwich, burger or fish dish (grilled/blackened) that comes with a cream based sauce. Their drinks and beer is selection really good as well. Most of the time on weekends they have live music if that's your kind of thing.
