Our server was Lewis B. He is amazing! Warm friendly and funny. He went out of his way to make my mom feel special. He was fast and efficient as well. The food was amazing!!

We had such a wonderful experience at Brick & Spoon! The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The Cobb salad was fresh, perfectly portioned, and full of flavor with crisp greens and great toppings. The American breakfast platter was hearty and comforting -- everything cooked just right and exactly what you want for a satisfying breakfast. We also tried the cheeseburger, and it did not disappoint: juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. What truly made our visit special, though, was our waiter. The service was outstanding -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made sure we had everything we needed and added such a positive energy to our meal. Great friendly environment. Between the fantastic food and the exceptional service, Brick & Spoon is a must-visit in Orange Beach. We can't wait to come back.

Very nice place. We were seated very quickly. Our Waiter was excellent. Very helpful with recommendations. He had the soft crab Bene. It was very flavorful. The crab is fried to perfection. Not greasy at all. Eggs cooked perfectly. Was looking for something unique and this hit the spot. I had the bananas foster pancake. It was delicious Also HUGE! I could only eat about half. Again something unique that we don't get back home in Iowa. We will definitely go back when we are there.

Checked out this restaurant for brunch and will not go back. It was definitely a one-and-done. We ordered the deviled eggs, and my teenagers were highly disappointed. I thought they were just ok, nothing great, but not worth ordering again. The pancakes were dry, but the generous portion size was enough to feed a family of four. The Brick and Spoon cheeseburger was very filling, and the French fries were good. Nothing was too memorable. Now the Bama Chick is probably the saving face at this restaurant, the chicken was perfectly fried, and the breading was seasoned. The biscuit was flaky and warm, and the gravy and egg were the perfect accompaniments to the dish. Bama Chik was a great dish, which is why I gave it a higher rating. I wish all the food there had been that good.

This was a delicious and super filling breakfast for our family of 5. We started with beignets which we devoured and fought over the strawberry dipping sauce. My daughter had the banana foster pancakes which were huge and more than enough to feed 2 people. I enjoyed the crab cake benny and wished I could've finished but was so stuffed! The bite of egg with the crab cake and bacon spinach was and I highly recommend. My cup of coffee was the perfect touch and I would come back to eat here again and again. The service was fast and very friendly and we enjoyed our visit immensely.

We came back here again for brunch while visiting Perdido Key for spring break. This time our experience was excellent five out of five stars. The service was fast. This time I got the farmers market Benedict, which was so so good. The English muffins were perfectly toasted. The egg was amazing. I asked for some extra lemons this time to put on top to make the hollandaise more lemony, and it worked like a charm. Love their hot sauce. The kids pancakes were delicious, probably the best pancake pancakes I've ever had and so nicely cooked. The breakfast potatoes are 10 out of 10. A truffle Parmesan french fries are unreal. Cold brew is super strong and very tasty. The server was super helpful and gave us some tips on some places to visit.

Excellent breakfast place! Looked super crowded but we were seated quickly. The food looked great, we ordered the Bama. Chick and the Bananas Foster French Toast...yum! Also had the beignets as a starter...food came out quickly and was great!!! Check it out!

My three Sorority Sisters and I opted to eat here on our way home from Orange Beach on a Saturday around the time most condos are checking out. We arrived at 10:30. One sister somehow checked us in prior to leaving the condo and score! We had a table shortly after arriving. Brick and packed with people parking in the grass by the roads because the small parking lot was packed. We shared the devilled eggs (this time topped with fried shrimp) appetizer and again, the devilled egg's filling was off putting for me. It was not rich and creamy but, rather, mealy-like. The shrimp was good and the eggs were edible. Sister's had a French 72 (too citrusy for my taste, personally) but she loved it; a bloody mary, and a special advertised on their exterior chalkboard: a screwmosa which is sparkling wine, Titos and OJ. Sister got a shrimp poboy and loved it, other sister got eggs benedict and loved it and last Sister got a breakfast platter with eggs, grits, bacon and a giant biscuit. She liked her meal also! I got a fried chicken sandwich with the special sauce on the side and it was giant! It came with two large pickle slices and tomato and lettuce and a side of fries. I got yellow mustard on the side and was only able to eat one of the giant pieces of chicken. It was a nice, humongous sandwich. Our server was kind, friendly and prompt with drink refills, keeping my water topped off. Their staff do a great job! The only negatives are ten years since my first visit and there still isn't any noise dampening in this restaurant. It's a family friendly place, which is great and the noise associated with lively children and just general conversation is loud. Also, the cramped entrance/hostess stand/restroom area is just that - cramped. There are a few chairs against the walls at the entrance area and people will either sit and wait on the hostess, or they are sitting waiting to use the small restrooms. The ladies restroom has two (or maybe three) stalls, anyway, it's a small restroom, and when patrons are trying to use the ladies room, they are unaware there are ladies waiting in the chairs by the hostess stand. This makes for a restroom bottleneck and makes it hard to check in to get a table. It's a small restaurant and I thought, if it were my restaurant, I would see about adding exterior restrooms to help alleviate the entrance bottleneck. Or, maybe move the hostess stand to the covered porch area just outside the entrance. Thanks Brick & Spoon for being a locally owned restaurant that offers a variety of delicious options that are unique to this fried food laden area!

First time trying this place and it didn't disappoint. We were in town for a concert and read the reviews so decided to give it a shot and glad we did. We got the southern breakfast and shrimp and grits along with Bloody Marys. Yumm! Service was on point and they got us in and out lickdy split! Left fat and happy!

Ask the Community - Brick & Spoon - Orange Beach

We will be in Orange Beach next Saturday and I am meeting with my biological family. How big is the Brick and Spoon to have a special visit with about 10 guests? Is there a separate room where we can have a quiet place to catch up?

It's a pretty big place easily accommodating 10 people, but I didn't see any small, separate rooms. There is also a large outdoor deck space. Of note: I went around 11am on a Tuesday and it wasn't too busy.

When is the best time to visit? We will be visiting the area on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Probably on a Friday because it's not the weekend. On any day, go soon after opening time as this restaurant is popular and worth the wait if there's a line. Bananas in pajamas is a favorite, however, there are many delicious choices on the menu!!

Beach chairs and umbrellas are available first come first serve to hotel guests which is very convenient. There was a heated outdoor pool, a volleyball net and a few games inside. We ate all of our meals at the hotel. We ate at the grab and go food spot. I ordered the feta and spinach croissant, a chocolate chip scone and a cappuccino. We also ate dinner at the latitude 30. I ordered a ceasar salad and calamari. For breakfast at latitude 30, I ordered the French toast dish that comes bacon and I ordered a side of eggs. We also ate at the fine dining restaurant onsite where I ordered the seared scallops dish and the vanilla crème brûlée. All of the meals that we ate at the hotel were very tasty. The restaurant staff were all kind and the utensils were spotless. I believe food may have also been served at the bar near the pool, but I didn't try any food from there during my visit. I really had an enjoyable time at this hotel and I plan to return in the future.

We ordered crab claws as an appetizer and they were cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the Surf-n-Surf and I ordered the Bronzed Grouper. Haley checked in with us often, and after some time she realized we hadn't received our dinner.
