    Pork with soba noodles
    Lee S.

We had a great dinner at Agricola, with the 4 star ranking breaking down as follows: 5 star atmosphere and service - great spot in the middle of Morristown, comfortable tables and seating, well decorated, loud but not too loud 5 star drinks - our table tried a couple. Standouts were the spicy pear margarita and the smoked fig old fashioned (not too sweet, and great smokiness) 3 star food - everyone enjoyed their meals, but nothing stood out. It was all just ok, and some dishes over salted - especially the pork with soba noodles. We all really wanted to like the entrees better (and were already in a good mood given the categories above), but it was a bit of a let down. We'd still return and try some different items.

This was a farm to table concept that changes their menu seasonally I believe. I have been to their other location previously, so I knew what to expect. The service was very friendly and accommodating while the food came out in a timely manner. For appetizers, the bang bang cauliflower ($15.95) was ordered. It came with a sweet and sour chili glaze, Fresno chiles, sesame seeds, and scallions. This was nicely done. The vibrant heat of the Fresno chiles perfectly complemented the tangy chili glaze. It was a great combination to go along with the crispy cauliflower. I also tried the artichoke and spring garlic bisque. It was alright. I was expecting more of a garlic flavor, but it was much more of an artichoke taste. It was different, but not bad. For an entrée, I had the red snapper ($37.95). It came with a Mediterranean spiced carrot puree, snow and snap peas, spring onions, and a chickpea panelle. This was alright. While the piece of snapper was crispy and cooked well, there was hardly any seasoning present. It was disappointing given how great the fish was cooked. The carrot puree was a nice addition as well as both types of peas. I really enjoyed those. The panelle was too dry for my liking. I also tried the halibut dish that came with fried polenta, hakurei turnips and greens, harissa, and hen of the wood mushrooms. Again, it was an ideal cook on the fish, but just not enough seasoning. The polenta and greens were very tasty while the harissa provided a slight kick to the greens. For dessert, the strawberry-rhubarb cobbler ($13.95) was tried. It was with sparkling rose, shortcakes, vanilla ice cream, and powdered sugar. This was very good. The warm shortcakes were very moist and paired nicely with the ice cream and strawberry rhubarb. The rhubarb was a nice balance of tart and sweet. It was a pleasant finish to the meal. Will I go back? Yup.

They won me over tonight with their menu (lots of GF options) and their service. The hummus had great flavor too it and came with GF pita, the cauliflower was spicy and zesty, and the shrimp tacos were cooked perfectly. Virgin mojitos and dessert donuts were both on point too.

Stopped by here because there was a fall festival and we got hungry . From the time the hostess took us it was an amazing experience she was very accommodating and even let us sit outside ( even though the table was booked but the people who reserved didn't show up ) the food was very good we had the cauliflower and the flat bread pepperoni pizza both were delicious and we had the peach mango tea which was served cold and very refreshing ! We also tried the burger which was delicious !Definitely awesome place !

Street parking or parking garage. I came here and sat at the bar with two girlfriends after we ran a 5K. So only drink review. The cocktails were so good. Joe, our bartender, was very friendly. He perfected the perfect espresso martini and we can't wait to come back for more! Thank you Joe!

Visited Agricola for the first time in a few years, and I wasn't totally wowed. Don't get me wrong, it's good. But it's really standard, and there's no wow factor that you'd expect to see at a bit of a nicer place. We waited 20 minutes to sit for our reservation which put a bad taste in my mouth. The wedge salad was good, but I just can't explain it. This is like a salad I would make myself at home, it wasn't giving me restaurant vibes. The chicken parm was interesting. It's deconstructed, so you get a piece of crispy chicken with burrata and red sauce for dipping on the side. The crispy chicken was delicious and perfectly fried. Cocktails are where it's at here, and I loved my seasonal apple cider sangria. Service is also on point. Overall, it's average food at above average prices, but that's a lot of what I seem to be finding in Morristown lately.

    Local Brussels Sprouts
    Mathew H.

Aricola in Morristown has a lot to offer with its locally inspired dishes and cozy ambiance, though there are some ups and downs. We tried the local Brussels sprouts and bang bang cauliflower--both were flavorful and well-prepared. The Griggstown Farm chicken parm was hearty and satisfying, and the line-caught seared halibut was fresh and cooked perfectly. The warm pumpkin butter cake was the star of the meal, a must-try dessert! However, the service was hit or miss, and the cocktails were inconsistent--some were great, while others fell short. Parking can also be a challenge since it's street parking in busy Morristown. Overall, it's worth a visit for the food, but there's room for improvement in the overall experience.

Beautiful inside seating. Very clean. Attentive staff. Manager checked on us during our lunch. Food was hot and flavorful. Decent portions. Creative menu. Better than a typical bar and grill on south street.

Service was attentive and professional, the space was immense with plenty of seating and bright lighting, and food was tasty. All of the plates we saw passing by looked delicious, but I was glad to have chosen the chicken sandwich. Perfectly cooked with great toppings.

    Cheese board on point.

Great farm to table in Morristown. Perfect for any special occasion, business meals or date night. They've the same menu as their Princeton location. Amazing atmosphere can be a little noisy when crowded. We went on Friday night and had a great time. The food lacked a little seasoning however everything was very freshly made. The flatbreads were delicious. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options to choose fresh from. Overall, This is a welcoming environment, with farmhouse chic decor, friendly service, and phenomenal food.

    Chicken Sandwich with Truffle Fries
    Derrick N.

The best part of Agricola is the ambiance. A great place for a work lunch, date night, or catch up with friends. The interior of the restaurant is a beautiful space with outdoor seating in Morristown's downtown area across the street from a park. As for food, they are known for making their food with fresh ingredients. However, I was disappointed in their chicken sandwich. It tasted fresh, but lacked flavor. The truffle fries I ordered also had just a sprinkle of truffle on top and was not mixed into my fries. The salumeria flatbread, however, was very good. The jalapeño added a kick and contrasted well with the fresh burrito cheese and pepperoni.

    Salmon and Mushroom Risotto

Food was amazing and service was just as amazing. Everyone was very welcoming and attentive towards us and made us feel welcome. Everything was delicious and tasted very fresh and healthy.

Had a lovely Mothers day lunch at Agricola-Morristown. We were assisted by Emma who was so sweet and polite. Always with a smile when talking to us and had a welcoming tone of voice. Food also came in on time. We started off with corn chowder which was delicious and just what I needed - a warm starter on a chilly day. Hummus was a little dry and sour for me and the truffle fries was smaller in portion than i expected although it had good flavor. The steak and eggs special for mothers day was good, Margarita flatbread was okay, salmon was done right and I enjoyed LoRe Campanelle Pasta - Generous portion and delicious. It had shrimp which was cooked perfectly. Lasty we enjoyed all the desserts: Bread pudding, creme brulee and that lovely smores warm brownie! not to mention indoor setup and decor was beautiful! Glad we picked this spot to celebrate

First, overall I'd say the food was very good on all five visits. The first two nights, I had dinner here. On the first night, I sat at the bar and enjoyed a bowl of the French onion soup and the halibut. The soup wasn't huge for $12, but it tasted good, and the halibut was quite flavorful. I didn't realize at the time, but they add in an 18% gratuity, so tip extra at your own risk. On the second night, I ate at a table with two coworkers. I had the chicken paillard, which was a large portion and also very good. Service was strong at both the bar and table on consecutive nights. For the three breakfasts, I pretty much had the same thing every day...an omelette with a side of fruit. It also came with potatoes, but it would've been nice if it came with toast or something similar without needing to pay extra. Again, food was good. Service the first day was fine. The next two days, the older gentleman providing service couldn't have cared less. I (and others) would show up at 6:30, when they opened, but nobody would be there. We'd sit ourselves and then wait. Eventually he'd show up. It was difficult getting coffee too, as both days, my cup sat empty for a long time until I'd eventually flag him down. Everything was on his time. I would've given him little/no tip...if the 18% wasn't already added in. The rest of the restaurant...food and service...gets a 5. This guy gets a 1. I probably should've given this a 3, but it didn't seem fair to everything/everyone else.

The space on the first floor is divided into a lively bar area with plenty of TVs and a slightly quieter main dining room with comfortable booths and tables. There is also seating on an outdoor terrace on the second floor and a few tables in front of the restaurant on South Street if you're up for dining al fresco. It's a terrific option in Morristown that's sophisticated enough for a date on the outdoor terrace when the weather cooperates or a pre-theater meal in the dining room, yet casual enough for beers and appetizers while watching a game in the bar area. The menu captures the essence of modern American comfort food. Whether you're grabbing the Stirling Burger ($18) -- made from a tasty short rib and brisket blend -- or splurging on the Grilled New York Strip ($48) topped with crabmeat fries, the quality is evident. They are also great with dietary restrictions. Between the various poultry, fish, and vegetarian options on the menu and the kitchen's willingness to make moderate accommodations in any other dish, there's something for everyone. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the service. We recently celebrated my niece's 21st birthday here, and our server made it memorable by honoring her milestone birthday by playfully asking for her ID EVERY SINGLE TIME she ordered a drink. It became a running joke for the night and made the occasion feel extra special. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars for me is that both sides of the main floor can get pretty loud when it's packed and the prices are a bit on the higher side for casual dining. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Stirling Tavern offers a Happy Hour Monday through Friday between 3pm and 6pm, which features specials on certain cocktails, wines, beers, and light snacks. You must be seated at the bar to take advantage of the promotional pricing. If you enjoy a good Old Fashioned, try the JB ($10), made with Four Roses bourbon, blood orange amaro, orange & angostura bitters. PRO TIP #2: Stirling Tavern does not have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of paid on-street parking on South Street or Maple Avenue. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday. If you can't find a spot on the street, paid parking is also available in the Morristown Parking Authority Lot #8 (@ 10 Franklin Street) and Vail Parking Area (@ 110 South Street). FREE on-street parking is located on MacCulloch Avenue, just two blocks from Stirling Tavern.

Now with that being said, this isn't any of the three. First off, we walked in and up to the bar and asked for a drink menu and the bartender who had zero personality, didn't say hello, how are you, wasn't smiling, and then says hold on let me see if I can serve you. Wait what? Isn't this a craft beer bar? He said there is a christening going on and I don't know if they want anyone else in here. I was like are you serious? A christening in a bar and with nothing on the door or anywhere saying the bar is closed for a party. Gotcha! So some guy walks up to him while he is talking to us and says he doesn't want us in there. Hilarious!!! I hope the owner knows you denied business to actual customers because some local cool guy wanted the whole place to himself to have his kids christening at a local bar so everyone could enjoy their quesadillas(from what I seen walking out).
