Definitely one of my new favorite places. I highly suggest for a date night with a jazz performance. It's a great experience just get there early for a good seat lol. The manager was very pleasant and kind with all guests. The food and drinks are good too. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant and I look forward to coming back

Good service, good jazz sets by the Laurie Vega Trio. The fusion food probably isn't what people come here for rates a C. Our BONELESS BABY BACK RIBS appetizer needed another 30+ minutes of simmering to get closer to the right consistency IF it is angling to be like Chinese sweet and sour pork dish. The entree CRISP BEIJING DUCKLING was not crisp, is roasted/sliced in such a way that it cannot ever attain crispiness. Steamed pancakes were not the Chinese standard- thicker therefore not easy to wrap around the meat, the accompaniment cucumber is thinly sliced but allowed to sit in such a way that it was drippy wet. Chardonnay Wine and New York Cheese cake were fine plus very jazzy ambiance- 90% full on a dreary cold Sunday evening.

Nice date night venue. Live music and a great bar in this Madison establishment. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. The bartender was awesome she made excellent cocktails. The food was ok, not bad not great. Overall nice change of pace and recommend if you like live music.

So the music itself was great, as well as the venue. We especially LOVED the bar downstairs and the vibe was on point. I would definitely come back to have a nice cocktail downstairs. Unfortunately, there was much to be desired with the food. The best part of our meal was perhaps the shrimp in the sampler platter. The duck was a bit overcooked, the chicken and Thai curry lacked seasoning and the short ribs deserved to have gravy. For such a diverse menu, we were very excited to see how everything would turn out, but we were very underwhelmed. Also to note: drinks are quite pricey, $20 for one dirty martini. All in all I would return for the lounge downstairs for drinks (possibly apps too), as you can still hear the live jazz from upstairs. Would not recommend coming here for a meal though.

Come for the music, and some drinks (but not the $21 martini!), and eat before or after somewhere else. The food was really underwhelming, except for the polenta fries, which we thought were very good. The portions are very small for the price. Our server had a very aloof attitude, not to say he wasn't good, it was probably just a shtick.

Very fun place, I loved the jazz music. The food and drinks were very good too. They do get busy! I loved the speakeasy downstairs.

Korean-style Beef: essentially bulgogi, very good, would recommend

$40 minimum per person in Friday and Saturday -korean beef: essentially bulgogi, not sure why it wasn't just named as such. very good flavor, hubby and I highly enjoyed. would recommend. -short ribs: ver tender, tasty. would recommend. -music and ambiance: very good. Wish the music lasted a longer as $40min for 1.5hrs is a bit steep especially since it's NJ and not major city like NYC.

The ambiance was incredible. Live jazz music, beautiful place and great service. The waitresses were very kind all the time. The food was good but salty and the dessert was delicious.

Despite this place not actually having much to do with Shanghai, I still found it to be a really nice experience. The musicians were talented, the food was very good. We got the pork bao buns, brussel sprouts, fried chicken wings, ahi tuna and dumplings. The tuna was our favorite. For the mains, we ordered the bulgogi beef which was tender and flavorful. The duck was just a tad oily but still very delicious. And I appreciate that use the traditional wrapper rather than a bun. The drinks were strong and the staff was nice.

We went at 5pm and it was great. Bartender was excellent and the food was delicious. Cute Speakeasy in basement that's open on Thursdays, Friday and Saturday after 5pm I think. Upstairs nice with live music on the weekends.

This was a great find... if you're looking for something to do on a Friday or weekend evening, do check it out. Live jazz music really adds to the cool vibe and we had an attentive server even as the place got crowded. Would recommended going between 5-6pm to get good seats. Food was ok.. this might not be the place for you if you're looking for authentic Shanghainese food but the holiday cocktails were delicious.

My Dad was chomping at the fucking.bit to hear some jazz tonight and as a result, we found out about this place. One of my favorite things about visiting nOLA is the jazz and I almost feel like it's the twilight zone that i can have the live Jazz experience in my home town. Not only that, but everything about our experience, start to finish, was amazing. They enticed us with the live jazz outside..As all of their tables were taken up, our initial strategy was to sit at the bar and hopefully be able to hear the music from inside. Not only did they have a whole band INSIDE the bar playing for those patrons, but we were given the choice of them literally building us a table outside. You can't really go wrong with either choice but due to the absolutely perfect weather outside and my mother's panic phobia about covid, we elected to sit outside. They straight up brought a table and four chairs outside for us to enjoy the band playing outside. The temperate fall air and lively Jazz is an ambiance that is few and far between. We had initially planned on just ordering drinks but were selling what we were buying and dropped a few food menus and had us eating out of their hand. They legit had MOZARELLA FRIED ZUCCHINI B LOSSOMS, some delicious vegetarian ravioli, arancini, and honestly whether you're into steak or farro and kale salad, they can push your.buttons, Both of my parents ordered a spring-roll-like appetizer, one with salmon and one with veggies (extra brownie points for the vegetarian option). My parents some how missed the fact that they were ordering from the appetizer menu and were disappointed in the portion size but absolutely adored the dish. . Even though I talk up and down for about 99% of the time about the fact that I'm "on a diet now" I'm actually full of shit when it comes down to the wire and I absolutely could not resist ordering their fried mozzarella zucchini blossoms which were enveloped in a delicate but delicious outer crust with creamy cheese and zucchini blososms. They were served with an orgasmic tomato sauce with a little touch of pesto. The food was the perfect complement to the musi. They have an interesting cocktail menu as well. I couldn't resist ordering their Frenesi with tequila, lemon juice, cinnamon syrup, apple bitters, hard cider. This was served in a cocktail glass with little floating (what I'm assuming is cinnamon fits that almost looked to be sparkles. It was such a beautiful drink and had such a unique flavor. GF initially ordered the All That Jazz with rye, calvados, Demerara syrup, peychaud's bitters,, ango bitters, and up in smoke however we were informed that they did not have all ingredients to make this drink. She went with her second choice, the Jam Session with bourbon, lemon, stone fruit syrup, peychaud's orange peel, Brandie's cherry. I tried this and as a strong bourbon drink, wasn't my immature palate's favorite but I appreciated the combo of bourbon and fruit flavor. Our server was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was as excellent as it could possibly be. My Mom was literally obsessed with him and couldn't stop commenting on how well he was taking care of us. Huge shout out to that man right there. I'm so excited that this place exists and GF and I have already decided to keep the local taxi on speed dial for further visits to this place. PS-sorry if this is filled with typos but I was literally too lazy to wear glasses while writing this so I am just typing and hoping for the best.

I enjoyed a 90s alt rock group, Pink Floyd tribute and zeppelin tribute here. Definitely reserve a table if you don't want to stand for hours when they have a really popular act. I had a smoked old fashioned which was strong AF, a Shirley temple (yes my friends make fun of me for ordering a kid drink- but that's ok!), and a non alcoholic mojito which was also surprisingly decent. The chicken tenders come in a massive bowl (portion size is enough for two), as do the French fries (the bowl is practically trough sized, we barely made a dent in it). From the look of things, it has fallen into the strongest ownership and has a great chance of achieving longevity in this old river town neighborhood. If jazz is your sound, Rosetta's will fill that niche in your soul. From the moment I walked in and took a stool at the counter, the smooth jazz soundtrack kept me company. The presence of a full drum kit, electric keyboard and microphone stands in the front of the house by the entry door had me wondering if I would be lucky enough to audience a morning session. It wasn't to be, but it sure did set the mood for evening possibilities. My breakfast was simple. Sausage, fried egg and provolone cheese on rye sandwich, with side of home fries (onions & peppers added). The chef's skilled hands were visible from my seat, as was his laughing interaction with customers who called him out to acknowledge his presence. That was fun. The meal was good, but would have been exceptional had the sandwich been doubled up (2 of everything) and presented on an English muffin of Kaiser rather than sliced rye. The limited choice of white, wheat or rye for this creation missed the mark. Those taters on the other hand, were excellent and the java strong, fresh and tasty. PRO TIP - Add this big boy to the morning menu as a choice for those who appreciate what double meat, egg and cheese can do for the satisfaction of the hungry. Otherwise, it was all worthwhile. That Sunday brunch with mimosa and AYCE spread accompanied by live jazz is totally appealing, and we may drop in soon.

My husband and I shared the cacio e pepe with truffles and the chicken cordon bleu--a combination I never would have thought of, but it worked perfectly. The truffle cacio e pepe was honestly one of the best I've ever had. Our friends enjoyed the pork chop and lobster ravioli also. The waiter was attentive all night and even comped our olive oil cake for my birthday, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The desserts were delicious, and the live music throughout the evening made it feel extra special. They even sang Happy Birthday live, which was the icing on the cake.
