The ponzu sauce that comes with the goyza is not heavy or overpowering but the goyza are SMALL. My wife and I love sushi, so we've obviously tried many places around Gwinnett County. Aha has an excellent selection of rolls both on and off the menu. Prices are very competitive as well. Best part: its the best tasting sushi, in my opinion, in the area and the portion sizes are pretty large as well. Other places around will be similar prices but the rolls aren't quite as big. The atmosphere in this restaurant is HORRIBLE. There is no background music. The only sounds you hear come from the audio from the tv, which is ON and loud. On the other hand, I had the 'new year' sushi roll and it was pretty good. Also, the service was OK; I just can't get over the loud and playing tv. read more

Located in a friendly Publix shopping center next to a few other smaller restaurants nearby and a brand new McDonalds. Interior atmosphere is what you would expect from a mom/pop sushi place. Wooden tables and a few chair areas and a sushi bar. The sushi is good but not exceptional. At times it tastes like it has been sitting there for a while and it does not taste fresh and other times it may taste a little better. The grade I would give the overall flavor is a solid B. Wish there was more consistency in regards to freshness/taste. Prices are fairly competitive and the service is average. Seems to be the go-to place for nearby neighborhoods. It's a great place for quick, affordable sushi. Give it a try, it's one of those places that may be your next favorite. read more

Go for the Sushi. If you are looking for a great sushi spot this is it. I have not tried their hibachi. My favorite is called the pink lady which is an awesome combo of spicy tuna, crab, cucumber, shrimp tempura and masago. I have not been disappointed with any roll i have had here from classics like plain tuna and salmon to rainbow (a cali topped with assorted fish)and all kinds of special rolls. They have a great variety, great service, and as fresh as it gets. The prices are very reasonable with plain rolls starting around 4 bucks and specials running from 6-12 (pink lady is 11 and definitely worth it). My problem with this place is the portions and pricing. Ridiculous pricing even with the Scout Mob ($8 off) coupon I used. Do they really think people will eat here again? I felt taken advantage of and I felt like they knew exactly what they were doing. I ordered 6 tuna hand rolls to split between my son and I. That should have been more than enough food. Each hand roll costs about $4.50, so I would assume they would be as big as a sushi roll considering every other place I have ordered these have been at least that size. Not here. Each hand roll was about the size of three tiny pieces of a sushi roll. We literally ate in ten minutes and were still hungry, but I was not about to spend more than $30 here. I also ordered my toddler daughter an appetizer of shrimp dumplings. This was about $5 and each dumpling was the size of a quarter. My girl barely eats as it is and she was able to finish 3 of the 5 dumplings. The dumplings were about 4 oz total. The food was good, but anyone with any common sense can find good sushi for half the price at many other places around town. Also, the staff is not very friendly and they are really kind of annoying. They don't seem to understand that if someone is staring at a menu and you've asked them once if they want to order, that coming back again two minutes later while they are still staring at the menu means they are STILL not ready to order. Plus they just keep walking by every thirty seconds and staring. Then when I wanted to use the coupon on my phone, I had to go outside to get service along with the only other patron in the restaurant because they have no internet connection. Then while I was outside my son said the waiter was touching my toddlers head because she started crying. When will people learn that others don't like strangers touching their children? This of course upset her more and she cried louder. My son glared at the waiter and the waiter left. We quickly left too and will never be back. It was a miserable experience. I hope they read these reviews and take some advice because the restaurant isn't going to last long if people feel taken advantage of. read more

This places is a tiny restaurant that serves amazing sushi and other food. I ordered about 3 special rolls and I think 2 other entrees. The food was alright but by far the sushi is amazing. IMO the sashimi was okay not how I thought it would be but for The price for everything it's worth a visit. I've been going here for awhile because it's so close to my house. Don't eat a lot of sushi but of all the places I've tried it i have to say this little joint rises above all when it comes to what is on the plate. Started with spring rolls that had a crispy golden tempura batter shell with a great crunch yet the inside had a nice and tender tasty filling. Also as an appetizer we had Gyoza, a crispy tasty dumpling that literally just disappeared! Our third appetizer (hey we had a productive day so we were celebrating) was yet another tempura item, calamari. This place has the tempura figured out for sure, light golden crunchy goodness! So to lighten it up a bit before our big items we had the green ginger salad. Was a bit concerned because of this large orange mass on top of fresh greens I thought was all ginger. Pleasantly surprised i was when i bit into what i was able to hold with my chopsticks skills, a sweetness that came from shredded carrots and was the best little ginger salad I've ever had period. So for the finale i had a noodle bowl, beef yaki udon to be exact. It was served in a large shallow bowl, piping hot with thick tender noodles, large slivers of onion and zucchini and the beef was tender yet had a beef flavor that was not hidden in the flavorful sauce, simply put delicious! Along with this bowl came one of our favorite sushi's, the bagle roll. It did not disappoint! The smoked salmon, cream cheese and avocado wrapped firmly in tender rice roll was just yummy. When we thought we were done (by shear volume we should've been) along comes the final item, tempura veggie roll with a red sweet sauce that was just amazing. Alas, we could not finish the bowl or the veggie roll, carried it home. We both had iced tea for our beverage, mine sweet and my gal had unsweet and I've gotta say I'd buy it by the gallon if they sold it that way it was just fresh and quenching. Moral of the story, check out the neighborhood mom and pop shop, but if you're in my neighborhood and like sushi you just have to check out Aha Sushi in the Publix shopping center next door to No. One Chinese on Buford Drive and Old Peachtree. read more

I used to go there a lot. The place is not big but very neat. I usually have their chicken hibachi with a sushi roll. The price is lower than other sushi places and the quality is above! Definitely go there! Also, the people there are very nice, after I went there couple of times they remembered me, I think. I always have hot green tea, and the lady always make sure it has been refilled for me, cause I eat very slow when by myself, wired I know.
