The woman working the front who could possibly be his mother was absolutely a monster to him. He accidentally spilled the drip coffee when she was yelling at him and said "better your feet than mine". How could you say that to a boy who just spilled scalding hot coffee on his feet? She was extremely rude to every customer that walked in. The bacon burrito I ordered only had hashbrowns in it. The coffee was tasteless too. However my biggest concern leaving here was the welfare of that little boy behind the counter. I will be calling a social worker to look into this. Extremely sad. read more

My husband and I travel frequently and typically stop at the big name coffee shops...just because we have experienced not great coffee elsewhere. I'm glad this was our only option. These creative folks have opened shop in an old bank building and, hopefully, will soon get the drive thru functional. But go inside and you will be greeted by a big sweet puppy dog. read more

Been in Colorado for six weeks and coffee was NOT hot and tasteless... worst ever had! The bacon egg burrito should have been called a potato burrito. Spent $15 for clean bathrooms. Clearly trying to mimic Starbucks but the employees have ZERO customer service. No greeting, no smile, they acted like Zombies. We were on a road trip and stopped here because we were falling asleep. It has an unassuming outside (It looks like it used to be a bank) but is super cute on the inside. Our barista was incredibly friendly and went to great lengths to make sure we were satisfied--she let us sample different products, told us about different combinations of ingredients we could ask for that weren't on the menu, and also offered to remake drinks if we weren't satisfied. My partner had a latte called the almond joy and really enjoyed it. She also has soft serve ice cream! I got vanilla with a shot of espresso blended into it--highly recommend it, it's one of the best things I've ever had. She should honestly put it on the menu! My praises don't end there though. I accidentally left my phone at the shop and drove about 25 miles down the interstate before I realized. When I got back nearly an hour later, she was there waiting with my phone! She greeted me with relief, told me she had tried calling my mom in an attempt to make sure I got my phone back, and then returned my phone (which she was keeping safe in the register). This is a great place with great food and great people with great hearts! read more

Great modern coffee shop/fashion boutique, especially for a truck stop town like Limon, Co. All the drinks we ordered were very well made, as were the breakfast sandwiches. The ladies working were very sweet. Only suggestion would be to separate the woman's clothing boutique more from the coffee shop, as a non-fashionable man, kinda threw off my vibe a little. My family and I were heading east from Denver for our return trip home. Found this amazing place on Yelp and the visit did not disappoint. Good food, extremely clean bathrooms, excellent coffee and drinks. They also have a small corner for local businesses to sell things like coffee mugs, art, etc. The atmosphere is as relaxed as you can imagine. Will visit again any time we are nearby! read more

We saw this coffee shop listed on an I-70 exit sign for Limon, CO, and decided to give it a try. We are glad we did. The coffee was flavorful, the owner was friendly, and the restroom was sparkling clean. The stop gave us a good start to a long day of travel, and was a pleasant break from gas station or chain coffee shops. Note: Ahimsa Coffee is right off the interstate, but a bit hard to locate. If you are traveling east and exit I-70, you'll turn right at the Taco Bell and head up the hill to reach Ahimsa Coffee. read more

We stayed overnight in Limon and I noticed this coffee shop just behind the Microtel. If is a bit off the beaten path so I was pleasantly surprised to see a coffee shop to start my day out with a yummy latte. I had my dog with me and he was welcome in the coffee shop which is awesome. The Barista was super friendly and helpful and very kind to my doggie, giving him a biscuit. He made me a delicious Latte. They had some other interesting things on the menu but I stuck with my regular. The facility is cozy and roomy. If I had had more time I would have liked to hang out for awhile. While driving towards Denver, CO on I-70, we stopped for gas in Limon, CO. After filling the car and using the restroom, we were looking at the coffee in the convenience mart at the gas station. It didn't look very enticing but we were needing a pick-me-up. One of the attendants asked if we were looking for "real coffee" and we said yes. She recomended a local coffee shop called Ahimisa and told us it was down the street. We asked if it was far and she said nothing in Limon was far , that it was a minute away. We hopped in the car and Ahimsa Coffee was just around the corner. It is an oasis of coffee culture and a wonderful surprise. We ordered two large coffees and could not have been more pleased. The service was friendly and quick. Before we knew it we were back on the road. However, if we had more time, I would have liked to stay longer and enjoyed the comfortable envirinment. I highly recomend this place and will be back anytime I drive through Limon. Thanks for the experience! read more

We were glad to find an independent coffee shop along our road trip. The staff was very kind, the drinks were good, and there was comfortable seating for us to sit and work for a while. We did, however, wish there'd been a warning about the pricing. There were no prices listed on the wall, and we were pretty shocked when she rang us up. Our 20 oz latte was $5.45 and our 12 oz latte was $4.00. Those prices feel pretty outrageous compared to countless independent coffee shops we've visited around the country. We just wish we'd known we were about to spend that much. With tax and 20% tip, it came to $12.12 for two cups of coffee. It was just unexpected. read more

I'm a Boulder transplant on the eastern plains and it is so great to have a REAL coffee shop near by! Great salads, pastries and ice cream. Its the only real coffee shop for miles and miles. Delighted to find a coffee shop other than a Starbucks along I-70 in the vast lands between Denver and life in Kansas. Excellent coffee flavor in the latte with a smidgen of caramel for subtle flavor per request. Having only been open for a few weeks, they're on their way to remodeling a cozy and comfortable establishment for the passers by and O/N hotel guests. Always great to support local establishments who are excited about what they're doing and even more passionate about how they can provide you with a decadent fix and memorable customer service for your trip.
