I've seen multiple FB posts about this place so we went for a really early dinner. It's tucked way back in the 99 Ranch market parking lot. When you walk in, it's a typical strip mall sushi spot. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was good and the two young servers were excellent! We had the Philly roll, baked scallop roll(forgot what their name for it was), rainbow roll. Heard about this place a couple of weeks ago and been wanting to try it ever since. I got the Tempura Udon and California Deluxe roll. All I can say is that the tempura at this restaurant was fried to perfection and it literally melted in my mouth. The sushi was also surprisingly very good and tasted fresh. The only thing that I can say is that I am very excited to come back and try the rest of their menu. Very pleasantly surprised. Within 30 seconds of sitting down a cheerful waitress had already brought a bowl of edamame and a pitcher of ice cold water. I instantly felt like a VIP. This place is phenomenal! The presentation was perfect and the options were great. It is really hard to find good sushi in Texas that doesn't cost an arm or a leg. Here is where great food and great prices combine like the perfect amount of wasabi and soy sauce. The staff was very friendly and the chefs were amazingly fast without sacrificing presentation. That shows a mastery of the craft like no other. I highly recommend giving them a shot and you will not be disappointed! This is our second time ordering party platters from here and we were both times, very pleasantly surprised and happy with our order. They do not have party platters on their menu but if you call and let them know what items you want and that you'd like it in a platter, then the chef will do it for you. The platters were not only fresh and delicious, but also presented so beautifully!! My daughter's only request for her birthday dinner was SUSHIIII! And she was so happy! The sushi chef there is so awesome. He really took the time to make our food very special and you can tell that he really cares about his customers. We have been going to Ai for takeout for the last months because they have arguably one of the best and most affordable chirashi bowls. We went there for the first time for dine in and it was a wonderful experience. We started with the off menu roll- the Fullerton roll- which tasted like some sort of seared scallop roll. Do not skip on this item- it was really delicious and unique for a mid-priced sushi joint (not just the typical spicy mayo). My husband and I also shared the chefs choice 30 piece of fresh fish and it was a delightful surprise. Every piece of sashimi was a thick slab of fresh, rich, decadent fish. It is also served with a unique pickled wasabi which I've never had at any sushi restaurant before. Everything came with edemame, salad, miso soup, and a grilled salmon collar (I presume) and the bill came out to less than 100$. Come here for excellent service, even better sushi for a beyond affordable price. Will be a returning regular. read more

Came here for dinner last night and all I can say is WOW. This place has some of the most fresh and delicious sushi you will find in town! Especially loved their sake (salmon) nigiri. It was the perfect portion and melts in your mouth! Also tried the number 1 roll, which tasted unlike anything I've had before. The sauce on top added an extra tangy kick which was awesome. Everything tasted authentic, just like the sushi I had in Japan. The menu has a large variety of items including galbi, udon noodles, salads, soups, and more. This place is new (opened Sep 2020) and promising. For all my sushi lovers, I have concluded that this is an overall "ok" experience if you are not craving anything else and are not being picky on the level of sushi you are eating. One of my immediate "Togo too's" dish is the ahi tuna tower, I like to use this as a point of reference since I order this dish in every sushi restaurant I partake. Unfortunately the tower came with close to no tuna and more garnish than I would have preferred. The restaurant as appealing and attractive as it is, with colorful presentation, the eating and serving experience was below standard. The people were friendly and the place was clean. I had a crack at ordering ponzu sauce but the server was persistent on not bringing more than a drop each time I would ask for more. This place surely has the capacity and potential to be a solid 4 stars but with the service and food not being well prepared I would have to stick to my 3 stars. Hope everyone finds this helpful.
