I waited too long to post and forgot the names of all of what we ordered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decor and seating was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty packed place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was pretty bad. We had to flag down a hostess to get our server because we had been sitting for 20 minutes with no drink order or paper order menu. She was clearly in a bad mood and I do feel bad for her. They only had two servers so of course she wasn't have a good shift. You could see managers in formal attire helping to put out dishes. They give you a two hour limit but we didn't get our first order for 45 minutes. The slices are so tiny you have to order more. We only tried a few rolls. They were fine. There was a salmon thing we got that was super delicious. It came in two pieces but was so small. One side have the tiniest piece of salmon... see the opened up piece photo. Ended up order more of those. The place was good but I wouldn't say it's a new favorite....

I am always very picky with my sashimi and this place sashimi is fresh and fatty! We are here for the holiday and the service was quick and attentive. They don't accept reservations so you should come in put your name down and walk around the plaza while waiting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes are upbeat and family friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have table for big group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Best AYCE sushi in the Valley--or better yet, overall!I have been coming to Aikan Sushi since it first opened, and it is easily our absolute favorite go-to spot for sushi. The food is always fresh and comes out incredibly fast. Plus, the service has consistently been wonderful every single time we visit. The restaurant itself has a fantastic vibe. It is clean, modern, and has a lively, welcoming ambience that makes it perfect for both casual date nights and fun dinners with friends.I truly hope their high standards and excellent quality always stay the same. Highly recommended!

First time trying this sushi spot, and I have to say it was worth it! Even though it's located in a very busy shopping center, don't let that stop you. We arrived right when they opened on a Sunday, and within 30 minutes the place was packed. I'd definitely recommend coming early or being prepared to wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One thing to note: as soon as you walk in, the seafood smell is pretty strong. If that doesn't bother you, you'll be just fine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They offer all you can eat options, but we decided to order individually. My child got a bento box, and wow the portions are huge! We ordered the Crunch Roll and the Baked Salmon Roll, and let me tell you, that Baked Salmon Roll might be one of my favorite sushi rolls ever. Absolutely delicious. The teriyaki chicken had good flavor, but it was a little on the dry side. Our total for two rolls and a children's bento box came out to about $58, which I felt was pretty reasonable. The service was excellent. Multiple staff members checked on us, everyone was attentive, and we never felt ignored. The food does take a little while to come out, so make sure you aren't in a rush when you visit. Overall, a great sushi spot that's definitely worth trying. Good food, generous portions, and friendly service. We'd come back!

Wow! I cannot believe I haven't tried AIKAN until now. This is by far the BEST AYCE SUSHI in all of the SFV! All of the nigiri was super fresh and so soft. The rolls were all great and full of flavor. There literally was not a single item we ordered that we didn't like! We paid $42 for the regular menu and there was plenty of variety with plenty of appetizers, nigiri, rolls, and more! The service was fast and easy as our server was always making sure we had everything we needed and our food was arriving quickly and they did a great job with presentation. The ambiance was nice and casual but also very clean and nice not too casual like most AYCE places. Plenty of booths and bar seating!! The restaurant is located in a large plaza with plenty of parking so there's never a problem finding parking.

AYCE here is great! Love that the rolls are only 4 pieces, which allows you to try different rolls without getting too full off of one. The sushi comes out super quick, unlike other AYCE sushi, which is awesome. Mei was very attentive to our party as well.

Amazing place to get all you can eat sushi. So many options. You can order traditional one piece sushi with rice, sushi roll, shareable dishes, and no rice 2 pieces. Unlimited rounds for 2 hours. It was so filling, wife and I ordered and didn't know food were going to come out so quickly. Service was fast on a weekday.dinner. All we did was kept eating all these delicious food presented in front of us. Definitely an experience for just getting your belly full with lots of sushi. The parking lot is usually not too busy, so parking not a problem. Just be warned you may be full for quite a well after this meal, may skip the next morning breakfast.

We visited Aikan Sushi and had a really good experience. The sushi was fresh and well prepared, and we especially appreciated the all you can eat option. It made it easy to try a variety of items and made the meal feel like a good value. I was with a group, so it was a bit chaotic once the plates started coming out, which made it hard to grab photos, but I did manage to get one of the nigiri. Everything we tried was solid. Overall, a great spot if you are looking for all you can eat sushi in the area, and we would definitely return next time we are in Burbank.

    Good food!

Aikan Sushi is a great spot with a good variety of sushi and plenty of options to choose from. We came in for my birthday. Really good selection of items, and the seafood was fresh and flavorful. Prepared to perfection. The only problem was making ourselves stop eating. There were no dishes that went uneaten, and there were zero disappointments in the food or the staff. Very nice environment and we appreciated the affordable price point during lunch time. Thanks!

For example, the agedashi tofu came with vegetables like zucchini, eggplant, and cauliflower, which is quite unusual and not something I've seen in traditional Japanese preparation. The sashimi also tasted off -- it seemed like very low-quality fish, almost as if it had been frozen for too long. We also ordered a nabeyaki udon for our 2-year-old, knowing it's typically served in a very hot bowl. However, the server attempted to place it directly in front of our child without any hesitation or warning, which felt quite careless and concerning from a safety perspective. Overall, this didn't feel like authentic Japanese cuisine or sushi, but more of an unclear fusion concept. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share this experience so others don't come in expecting high-quality or traditional Japanese food.

My only negative comment is that this place isn't designed to host large groups or families like I'm used to from more traditional spots. I'd say 6 or less in a group is ideal here. They can technically accommodate larger parties, but the group feels disjointed. It's very easy to go family style here. When you order an entree, it's normally in a large portion and probably not what you want to eat for the entire meal. I'd recommend coming in a group of 4 and ordering 4 different entrees. Ask for smaller plates so that you can try other dishes to balance out the flavor profiles. If you have no idea what to go for, here are some recommendations: Chongqing Crispy Chicken - it's a lightly fried and dry spicy chicken Orange Chicken (what you'd expect) Spare ribs with garlic - if you don't mind getting your hands dirty and eating around a bone Handmade dumplings - whichever sounds good Those are some common and safe choices. Our rice and green beans never came out at all, and when we finally asked about them, we were told the ticket had gotten lost. There's a sign in the front clearly stating "no sushi" which was perfect because we weren't looking for that this time. I chose this spot because I've always wanted to try more home-style Japanese dishes which is what this place advertises. We were greeted immediately upon entering by the owner, Miki. She was great the whole time! Chatting with customers, including us, and cracking jokes. It was great to get to know her as we dined. The atmosphere is cozy, good for groups, small parties, and individuals as there's bar seating too. We decided to get the butter sautéed squid, grilled mackerel, karaage, sake steamed clams, and a zaru soba each. Miki said it was a very Japanese order haha. The squid was out quickly, followed by the karaage. The squid was served on a hot plate, sizzling hot! It was tender and chewy, and the sauce with it was delicious and so savory! We asked to keep the sauce for future dipping. The karaage was perfectly crisp and super juicy and moist inside. It went well with the provided fresh lemon and mayo dipping sauce. There was also a small refreshing side salad with it. Next came the clams and mackerel. Miki said we were eating so fast lol. The clams were plump and cooked perfectly. We removed them from their shells and dipped a few in the squid butter sauce. The broth was excellent. Super light but had deep flavors of clam. The mackerel was both our favorite part. Grilled perfectly and served with some grated radish and lemon. It was salty enough for me so I didn't use the provided soy sauce, and the lemon and radish really helped to lighten it up. It was a great combo of Smokey, salty, meaty with acidic and slightly bitter freshness! It was a generous portion of fish too. The soba noodles were also good and plenty. They were served with green onions, wasabi, and soy sauce dipping sauce. I think I've had better soba noodles that were house-made, but the broth brought them to the next level. We still had some room left in our stomachs so we decided to get an order of the vegetable tempura after Miki talked it up. It had super thin batter and was perfectly fried. There was green bean, orange sweet potato, Japanese sweet potato, eggplant (my favorite), and whole shiitake mushroom (second favorite). The dipping sauce was super salty, as it should be, and I sipped it lightly while eating the shiitake mushroom. Overall a light and comforting meal. It felt healthy and soothing, just like home. It's not the cheapest place, but it is worth it because you cant find many restaurants serving these items nearby! I'm ready to go back to try the sautéed mushrooms (Miki's favorite), curry (Miki recommended), agedashi tofu (another recommendation) and basically everything else!
