    Golden Ebi Sando

Pretty expensive sandwich for the price. There service is pretty good there is only 1 bathroom in entire place for both customers and employees so that could be inconvenient. The chicken Katsu was only ok . The ambiance gives off that of a calm Asian themed sushi place.

Finally got lucky early this morning to be able to order some Sando's. We got the chicken and tonkatsu, the egg and the strawberry. I had the egg and it was just as good as I expected it to be. Very flavorful, the bread is so soft and has a slight sweetness. The strawberry was disappointing. Too much cream and too little strawberries. My family had the meat ones and gave them great reviews as well. The service was excellent during pick up and ordering on line was easy. They are a bit on the pricey side but as a treat every once in a while it's worth it, they are really good!

I have been seeing this on social media so me and the girls decided to make it an early lunch date. It's a small place that doesn't look like it has much but the menu options will take you straight to Japan. The staff were friendly and helped to make selections, but of course we tried pretty much everything! The sushi is flown in from Japan and you can taste the quality (we had the tuna flight). There were 3 different types of tuna that ranged from your more lean to more fatty dense flavors. The sandos were delicious! We had the egg, chicken katsu, and my girls also tried the pork (I cont eat that but they said it was delicious). We were disappointed that they had none of the wagu, but that just gave us a reason to come back! For dessert, we had the strawberry cream and the strawberry matcha...both were great and the milk bread was so soft. The Japanese sodas were a hit and I tried the Kona coffee to go. I don't drink milk and didn't realize it was coffee plus so it wasn't for me but was still very tasty if that's what you enjoy. Overall we had a great experience and recommend it for something new to try when you are in the area.

I made it my mission to go here and i was so let down. the bread was hard and not fluffy as I thought it would be. it was almost like biting into a sponge. i'm not sure if it was because of how long the sando was sitting there. but it wasn't good and i will not be returning :/

This is a tough review for me. I really wanted it to be better than what it was, I was hoping for it to transport me back to my days in Japan, but unfortunately it didn't. I wanted to rate it at about 3.5 stars, but rounded up since they're for sure not 3 stars. I will say that the sandwiches are good, but not amazing. It might also be that I had really high expectations going in, no doubt because of my time in Japan. Our favorite sandwich was the Chicken Katsu, followed by the Strawberries and Cream, followed by the Egg. The staff were great and super helpful. Honestly, I am definitely looking to come back at night and try out the Mumu side of the restaurant, because some of what they have sounds amazing!! I think it's a definite try if you haven't yet, and see for yourself what you think. If you do, let me know what you thought.

I arrived at 12:30 hoping to try the sandos but sadly they were already sold out by then. The place is small with limited sitting area but ideal for a nice quick lunch. The sushi to-go is a pricy but you would expect the quality to match the price. Sadly, the sushi we got didn't quite feel at the quality of the price I was paying for it. The best one was the scallop, salmon and tuna are very mid, as well as the others. It's fresh but not the best quality. I hope I get to try the sandos at some point but seeing as they get sold out too soon I don't think I'll be taking my chance anytime in the near future. Especially since eating sushi any earlier than 12 is not something I do very often.

Nice reusable bag with to-go orders.

This small Japanese Sando and Sushi restaurant is on 27th Ave between 28th St and 27th St. The Sign outside says Asian Bistro. I was really in the mood for sushi, but I ran out of time during lunch and just got the grab-and-go options in the freestanding fridge that's near the food counter. Wow, that's really all you need! They had exceptional sashimi bowl options with very fresh fish and roe. Look carefully and pick out the one you like. It's all over a bed of sushi rice that's just right. The must-have item at this place is the strawberries and cream Sando that's pre-packed and ready to go. They sell out quickly, according to the host. I arrived at 11:30 AM on a Monday and they were almost sold out. They have some tables and a bar area for you to sit, but it's limited and cramped. I'm sure the line outside gets long during peak hours. It's worth the wait.

Had a craving for an egg sando and was so excited when I saw this one.Its amazing with a perfectly cooked jammy egg in the center. Egg salad made with kewpie mayo on shokupan It was superb. We did pickup which was quick and convenient. I'll be trying the katsu when I return. Ambiance seems pretty chill

There was so much hype for this place I wanted to try it badly but they were always sold out. I finally got my hands on the famous sandos. I ordered the tamago sando, chicken katsu sando, and the strawberry sando. I really wanted to like these sando but they were not it for me. The restaurant also needs some more decorations, looks a bit plain. The cashier was friendly and helpful but it does take a long wait to get the sandos. Overall, I'm glad a tried them but it was a one time purchase.

First time at this restaurant. I went with my mother and my sister and the place was clean. We wanted sushi and they informed us sushi is only available in the weekend. Which I think should be available everyday especially if it is in the menu. They only have a limited menu and weekdays they only offer sandwiches. We ended up not eating here. The employees did have great customer service.

Chai latte was great and these sweet sandos were soo yummy!! The bread was almost like churro! The service was great and the lady was so sweet. It's a small spot with a few tables and really cute day vibes.

Tried a few new items on their menu and was surprised that they have made their sando choices with more variety, I tried the golden ebi sando and it was delish, crispy warm and seasoned perfectly and was balanced with a slight spicy dusting of togarashi on top. They also have coffee now and the coffee I ordered was well balanced and not too sweet, I loved it.

As someone who's gone to Japan, these are the closest things i've had since. The egg sando obviously isn't the same or as good, but the sweet Strawberry or Matcha sandos were definitely worth it. Plus, they give you a cute bag to go!

I couldn't believe the restaurant was empty except for us the entire time - they deserve more hype! You enter through the first floor and walk upstairs to the beautifully decorated dining area. What we ordered: *Oyster mushrooms (9.2/10) - although a pinch saltier than I would have liked, the potato miso cream was to dieeee for. Mushrooms were flavorful and cooked perfectly. *Smoked coconut rice (8/10) - my bf liked this a lot more than I did but I still thought it was tasty! The saffron custard was unique and paired well with the grilled colossal crab. Little bits of trout roe were the perfect visual & textural touch. However, we both agreed that something was slightly "off" about the rice; almost reminding us of instant microwaveable rice for some reason, but we couldn't put a finger to exactly why. *Ravioli (10/10) - who knew hazelnuts, caramelized onion, and piave cheese go so well together? No complaints about this dish. It was plated nicely and a delight to eat. Kat walked us through their natural & biodynamic wine selection, as well as every dish as it came out. What stood out about her was how professional, kind, helpful, and conversational she was! Kat also let us try the sparkling Bisson wine, which was perfectly light and refreshing (hints of green apple). The meal ended with two warm herbal-infused towels for us to wipe our hands with. 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill, and we tipped extra because of how lovely the service was. I would love to come back and try their brunch menu (the pear french toast looks divine)!!

The restaurant is small and yes, it's definitely on a higher price range but this place is for experience. It doesn't cater to a specific cuisine and takes inspiration from everything. It's on a really busy street in Coconut Grove with a high competition from so many restaurants around and this place stands out. I went on a Sunday early dinner. Only a couple of tables were occupied. It's on the floor above Los Felix and you actually have to go through that Mexican restaurant to take stairs to Krus. But as soon as you step in, the vibe changes completely. Floor to ceiling wine racks, cozy lights and an open kitchen make this place trendy rather than a quiet classic restaurant. I felt the volume could be reduced a bit to make it even more comfortable to have a date night conversation. I had read about the smoked coconut rice but when it came out it was nothing like I ever experienced. It's a very delicate sweetness added to basmati rice and a slight juicy crunch from the trout that brought the flavor out of the crab meat. The saffron custard added a creamy layer to smooth it out. Ravioli was filled with Italian cheese and tossed with a tonne of hazel nuts. There was a slight drizzle of chimichuri as well but the flavor that was strongly coming from was the thyme oil. For dessert I initially was going for Parsnip sundae but after the amount of hazelnut I ate for entree, I wanted to try a different flavor. My waiter, Kat suggested the burrata ice cream and it had black garlic I never tried before. It had an umami flavor and that was a unique taste for me. The butter cookie was salty and it reminded me a bit of peanut butter cookie. But without the crunch. Surprisingly the milk merengue was crunchy. The host, my server(Kat) and the rest of the staff did an amazing job explaining each dish and allowed me to really get to know the dish not only before ordering but also during and after. They really cared about the experience they were giving. The plates are small but definitely not tapas style. They don't have validated parking but there is metered parking and there are garages in the area.
