Mai Linh is able to listen to your body and make a tailored connection to give you a massage that your body needs. It's like she picks up signals with her hands and she responds appropriately. Massage is an art. It's no use to just apply the same kneading motion, press this pressure point and that if you can't hear what your client's body is asking for. Mai Linh is an accomplished artist in that important respect. 3.) RELAXES YOU WHILE TRULY WORKING YOUR TISSUE - I no longer need to choose between relaxing and working through my muscle knots. Mai Linh does both. 4.) PERSONABLE, RESPECTFUL, FRIENDLY, CONSIDERATE - this is a mobile spa service so clearly, it's important that the therapist is someone you'd be comfortable with welcoming into your home. Mai Linh is outgoing, so nice, has a good sense of humor and, this just shows her level of professionalism, she knows when to chat with you to get to know you and when to give you quiet time so you can fully experience the pampering. 5.) TAKES PRIDE IN HER WORK - Mai Linh is a savvy entrepreneur who really thinks about her clients' needs. So she has high standards. She really takes care of you. She also comes equipped with some excellent relaxation music! Even my husband who is extremely hard to please and tends to walk out of a massage like it had no effect other than remind him he just wasted an hour of his time - he came out of Mai Linh's massage looking like a knob of softened butter. We're both booking Mai Linh for weekly sessions now. Awfully deceptive. Mai-linh uses deceptive practices such as taking stock photos that do not belong to her from other clinics. When you enter her clinic, it is nothing like the pictures and is not nearly as spectacular as her website or instagram shows. GREAT SERVICE! I travel a lot and get expensive massages all around the world so I know a great massage when I get one and this is AS GOOD AS IT GETS. Not to mention, I don't have to leave my house. Mai Linh took care of me. She was professional and helpful without being annoying and yappy. She advised me on my back/neck pain and answered questions I had. Warm stone on my abdomen, a soothing neck and shoulder massage NOT HARD AND PAINFUL like the ones you usually get at the cheaper places, and good quality organic products used. Yes, you can pay less somewhere else, but you will not get the professional service and quality treatment that you will find with Aiko Spa. It's summer and I'm hot on the heels of a new Balzac, two tubes through my favorite Blood Orange + White Pepper, and coming off a sensational in-home massage. I scheduled two hours with Aiko Spa and made it a morning with my good friend J (who came bearing lattes) and those instant cinnamon rolls that come in the pop-open tube (just watch me try those from scratch...er) I threw the French doors open for some sunshine and converted my office into a temporary massage room. After J's session, I settled in for the knot-unwinding so dearly needed. Mai-Linh worked out the muscle stress accumulated through numerous bad habits, reversing the imposition of my desk chair and strained posture. The hour flew and I was so thoroughly reset that a frozen Snickers seemed the next prudent decision. Several months ago, I reached out to her to provide spa services as a gift to my admin staff. She was very courteous, diligent, professional and flexible. I appreciated her attention to detail and her willingness to help make this a special moment for my staff. Now, about the services....my admin staff was elated and very pleased with their spa treatments. They talked about the experience for several weeks. This was a great service, Mai Linh seemed to find all of my pains without me saying much of anything. She asked me where I would like her to concentrate her efforts in the massage, I told her I was had been suffering some knee pains. After a general full body massage, she worked on my legs loosened some muscles that were over compensating for bad knees and she really provided me with some much needed relief. When it was all over, I felt rejuvenated, relaxed and refreshed. Mai Linh had a caring personality, she was punctual and professional. She seems to have a healing touch that comes natural to her. Horrible business practices. I purchased a gift card for a friend in December of 2012. She has still not received her $110 massage. My friend and I have called multiple times to no avail. I even asked for a refund, but Mai told me she could not refund a gift card, yet still has not provided service. I called once again to allow her the opportunity to either reimburse me or finally provide my friend a massage, with no answer...over a year later. I have never experienced such substandard business practices. As an owner of two businesses myself, I cannot imagine how this is allowed to happen. I wish there was some kind of recourse. Based on the Yelp reviews here, I recommended this mobile spa service to my wife to offer a gift certificate as a present for her brother's birthday. To my surprise, this has been difficult and awkward from the start. 1) The certificate which was ordered and payed for (with a generous tip), a month before his birthday was not sent, despite repeated reminders. Eventually the wrong certificate arrived (one hour massage instead of one and a half). The owner promised to send a new one right away, but it was sent to the wrong address, so it arrived too late for his birthday. 2) My wife and the owner agreed on a half an hour refund for the inconvenience. Just had a hot stone massage provided by my office. It was only five minutes and I had my doubts as to what change could happen in five minutes but, I was blown away. Once Mai-Linh was done with me I was like a very sweet smelling, soft mound of putty, and the fact that the treatment comes with a complimentary chocolate to actually eat at the end was like the cherry on the cake. Then nice and hydrated from neck to toe, as if your enitre body took drank a huge glass of water... Then the yes-fake, no-bake tan! A gel that goes on clear and dries into sunkissed skin! ALL of which, smell AMAZING! I left the room while Mai-Linh set up, and the minute I walked back into the room, it smelled like I was at the beach! Mai Linh is amazing. Not only is she a fantastic masseuse, but she is incredibly caring and friendly. I first had Mai Linh come to give me a massage when I was dealing with a particularly painful (but not at all contagious) illness. She listened attentively to what was wrong, completely accomodated her massage to make sure I was absolutely comfortable, and still gave me the best massage I have ever had. She's come back regularly ever since, and she calls in between massages to check in on me. I'm feeling remarkably better, and I credit Mai Linh and her magic hands and wonderful spirit for the faster-than-expected recovery.
