My AC unit was 16 years old and just not able to handle the summer temps. I called several companies to get estimates and was disappointed in them - price too high, no follow up with additional info as promised etc. I decided to call Air Around the Clock, the company that had installed my old unit which is over 16 years old. A one year old unit with a service contract had maintenance on a Thursday where 2 parts were replaced. Saturday morning it stopped blowing cold air, but they insisted on charging $200 dollar to check it unless I made an appointment during the week. Despite the extended warranty and the problem occurring right after a maintenance appointment, they insisted on poor customer appreciation despite the fact that I'd been a customer for over 20 years. Everything could improve! Been a customer since 2011. They were great! They merged with another company in 2022-2023. I had to buy a new HVAC unit in 2023. I purchased it from ATC, it was installed by ATC, and I service it withATC. Nothing but problems; dripping on my floor, short cycling, etc. They refuse to admit there's a problem with it. I pretty much keep it at a steady 75. They say it's because it's a ceiling mounted pancake unit and they're temperamental. It's a machine. It does not have emotions or feelings. I've heard everything from bad drain line, dirty drip pan, drip pan full, nothing but excuses. The latest as of today is condensation on the drip pan. Dripping again about an hour after tech left! Can you imagine what it's gonna be like for me in August? I wouldn't recommend Air Around The Clock to a slug. Mike Lang has a good company going. Shame on him!! ATC lies, ATC sux. I only give one star because I can't give zero. And the one star is under protest. read more

I just had a brand-new high efficiency split system manufactured by Gree installed. My installers were Ryan and Joe. They arrived at 10:00am and worked straight through until 5:00pm. They built a new insulate plenum box in my garage that is just perfect. The installation is professional, and they took care of all the little extras, like insulation lines where they enter the blower to stop condensation. The cleaned up after themselves and hauled away all the old material. This is about as perfect installation as anyone could expect. Ryan even set up an appointment for another person to come out and install the new intake grill which is a different size and shape necessitating cutting the wall and repairing the drywall. This was as close to a perfect installation as one can expect. I am delighted with Air Around the Clock and would recommend them to anyone needing A/C maintenance, repairs, or installations. Be careful with this company. They will be very nice before they have your money. But they are NOT professional. They will screw you any way they can. They pulled a PERMIT for a unit I purchased with my 84-year old mother years ago. After the sale they NEVER CLOSED the permit. Now I am selling the unit and the sale is pending this closure of the permit. I have called them about 10 times one day this week, and they did not get back to me. They didn't bother to get the facts from me - and you will never hear from management. If they do call you back - they will yell at you and tell you it's all your fault. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. They are the Walmart of AC and they treat you worse than Walmart, if that is possible. I kept quiet for years about them. BUT the time has come for me to speak out. If I could give this company 10 stars I would. I had four or five companies come out to quote for complete AC unit and compressor replacement . Air around the clock came out and gave me a really good price that was at least $2500 lower than other companies. I hired them the same day and they came out the next day and installed my new unit. For the first time ever Living in Florida I had a company come out and do things right the first time. Installers came prepared with everything necessary to complete the installation. We couldn't be happier with the entire process from the sales person to the office coordinator to the installers. I would highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again in the future. Our new system is working flawlessly as one would expect. read more

Terrible company. 2 years ago we had an issue with our AC. It was turning on and off intermittently. Anthony from Air around the clock came over and told us our air conditioner was done and needed to be replaced. After spending 7k to have the entire system replaced we still had the exact same issue. After a new AC was installed it would still turn off randomly. After about 10 separate service calls the issue was finally resolved. Per the air around the clock technician the air conditions was not the issue, it was simply the wiring connecting the A/C to the thermostat that needed to be replaced. After the wiring was replaced we no longer had any issues. This means the original "technician" who was ent out to us was lying about the issue to sell us a new air condition unit even after bough the one we had was in perfect working condition and only needed the wiring to the thermostat replaced. This company is a scam. They will just try to sell you a new air conditioner no matter what the issue. Stay away! read more

BEWARE! This company is a total **** and runs a total ************!!l I paid close to $800 dollars to have my AC repaired, the repairs lasted only 3 days! an independent contractor found some of the AC wires were attached directly to my compressor which caused a short circuit at my house and the unit completely stopped working, after that the technician arrived at my house wanting to sell me a new AC unit for $9,000 a total Scam!. I was able to obtain the same unit from a reputable vendor for $6,400. Extremely dishonest!!! read more

They installed my system back in 2015 and I had no complaints. 2021 I had an issue with the outside unit and they came out and resolved it, even after the first couple times they could not figure out the problem. Yesterday the unit just quit on my so I called them to schedule an appt and received a text the next morning saying between 10:30 - 1:30 so I altered my day. Called back at 2 pm and was told he was working on a job with someone else and it would be about 30 more minutes. Called back over an hour later and at first was told I was scheduled from 2:30-5:30 and when I complained, she called the driver again and said he would be there within the hour. Needing to leave at 4:30 I ended up cancelling the appt and calling another company that I should have called in the first place. Not using ATC ever again. read more

I am writing you to let you know that Mark, that works for your company isn't about customer service and having lasting customers for your company. I request for a technician to come out and take a look at my unit that was installed by air around the clock, I informed  the technician that the unit doesn't shut off.and all I got was I needed a new unit, the technician  saw how old the unit was ( 12 years old)and his diagnosis was I needed a new unit mind you he didn't open my unit inside my house and he didn't write down my issue i was having with the unit. I called Mark back after I got a second opinion (2 weeks later), and that person listened to me and solved the problem. No where in Mark's notes stated the reason why the technician came out to my house. Mark, I got so aggressive with me on the phone, I asked him what my issue was for the technician to come to my house? he couldn't tell me that but was able to tell me about the quote that was given to me by the technician. I asked him for the refund because I felt like my issue wasn't solved by the company that I trusted. Mark was all about selling me a new unit, not handling the issue I had with the AC unit. Air Around the clock do better. Daisy.  I called another company and the guy came out listen to me and solved the problem. If you need that company name and number contact me. This company is full of crooks they use the ladies in the office to create fake reviews saying how great the company is when it's all lies, i had a service contract with them they sent a tech whole didn't even change the filter he opened the panel looked inside closed it went out to the condenser did not hook up his gauges just talked on his phone the entire time I have him on camera doin this he did not clear the drain line washes his hands outside leaves the water running comes inside with mud on his shoes tells me he checked everything that he didn't sticks me with a high service bill on his way out opens the fridge in my garage and takes my beers and water bottles empties his ashtray on my property n leaves. My unit stopped cooling hours later the same day I called the company back and explained what I just went through just to be put on hold for hours I felt ignored so I called back just to be put through the same thing they don't care about Thier customers the third call the woman who answer was very rude until I told her I was going to cancel and take them to court I asked to speak to a supervisor a guy named Brian who said the techs did Thier job until I told him they were on camera and sent him the footage once I brought up my lawyer and law suit he sent a tech out right away just for the tech to recommend I needed a new control board fan and motor which was working perfectly until there tech left he got on the phone and quoted me $3000.00 fee which I told him he can leave I called a different company and the problem was a blown fuse which he replaced no charge and only charged $85.00 service fee air around the clock is a rip off they all work together to take your money I will never recommend them and I will be seeing them in court... read more

Horrible customer service. Greg came to our house with no ladder and had to use our own. Charged $95 and did absolutely nothing. Told us that we had to do everything and wouldn't even open the vents for us. Called after and the lady said "his word against yours". So sad because they've been great before. For years they were my "go to" AC repair company. I had the same technician for years and I felt he was always fair. He gave me options to get air working, but also let me know it would not be a long term fix. My most recent visit was a new repairman. He diagnosed a circuit board needed to be replaced to have the compressor to start. He quoted me $500 to solve the issue and had the part on the truck. (I'm assuming it was new but who knows? I have no idea how much the circuit board cost either.) The $95 service call was to be included IF I moved forward with the repair. While I thought the price was high I agreed. The bill came in a $595. Why? Well, i was explained after that the "real" (as opposed to the quoted) price for the part/installation was $695. So with the "included" $95 "service" charge, it came to $595 ($5 discount I guess.) I should have kicked him off of my property and let them sue but felt a call to the office would straighten this out. (After all, it was my word v his but have been a long term customer for 20+ years. I called the office and they stood by the quote. The serviceman lied to me and the office covered for him. In my opinion, this company is now total scam artists. Sad, because I'd heard many negative experiences but until now, felt differently and always used them. I'm now convinced they are cheats. I have no words for the horrific experience we have had with this company. My air was working on Thursday, but staying a consistent 2-3 degrees warmer than the thermostat. We have a service contract , so we called them to come out. In the past, I have had positive experiences, but like many of these reviews say, recently this company has been horrible. The technician appeared to be a third party contractor, he had no shirt or truck identifying himself. I had a schedule time of 2-5 pm and he called from his personal phone saying he would be at my house in 20 min (I was at work at 1130.) he cut me off and talked over me, and tried to tell me my system needed black lights replaced for mold. I persistently asked him what would fix this issue TODAY and he kept repeating a part. He told me my contract wasn't valid, and when I called the office, they said it was. He replaced what he thought the problem was, and it didn't work, so he said he would have to order a part and left without telling me. He called me later on his personal cell trying to sell me a new unit for "1000 off" and then said he ordered the part. He provided no information timeframe or cost, and when I called The office she said she would get back to me. She had no cares about it his unprofessionalism and said a supervisor would call me back. No one did. It's now two days later, I got a text that they would be here today 9-12, and no one called to tell me that actually it would be Tuesday because of the long weekend. Again, no supervisors, no on call managers, just an overworked lady answering with no answers. My air was working when they came, and now it doesn't work at all. And there is no one to call to help. In July I wanted to have 2 air conditioning units serviced (1 unit is 8 years old and the other is 5). I've been using Air Around The Clock for over 7 years. Never had an issue with them, recommended them to many others, BUT when someone tries to con me and lies to me, I feel it is my obligation to let others know. On July 2, I called to schedule general maintenance. The women told me that it was going to be $165 per unit, but, If I took out a yearly plan it was $340 for 2 service calls a year. That's a no brainer for $10 there would be a second service on both units. After the credit card was processed, she said the first available service date was 3 weeks later July 24. I questioned why she didn't mention that up front and got some snippy little answer like I was cheap and that was the policy. OK, the units were working, there was no problem, it could wait. July 24 Damion arrived, I showed him the unit in the attic and the one in the garage. Two hours later, he told my husband that the downstairs unit had ice buildup and he called another technician to come to access the issue. Then came Herby, who told us the coils were iced and leaking. They could be replaced for $1895 which may not solve the problem and strongly suggested we get a new unit for $4300. We chose the new system. That night, the upstairs was not cooling. Sunday morning, AATC sent Herby back. Not only was he NASTY, but CONDESCENDING too. He told us that in addition to the $4300 replacement we needed $595 of new piping for the upstairs and there was nothing he could do to get the upstairs air working. Herby, if you read this, a word to the wise, if a customer already agrees to spend $4300 be nice, you're trying to get more money from them, don't be rude and don't try to intimidate them! As soon as Herby left, I called another company, who sent a tech. Nothing was mentioned about the AATC diagnosis. The honest technician said the downstairs unit was running cold, in very good shape and didn't need any work (what no $4300 replacement, no leaky coils?). I mentioned the ice and the coil, and his response was the filter tray was open and that's why there was condensation and ice. As for the upstairs unit, Damion scraped calcium down the pipes and didn't flush them out. It stopped cooling because someone turned the overflow switch off and I guess Herby just wanted us to suffer without air. Air Around the Clock wanted $4300+ to replace a perfectly good air conditioning unit, they deliberately shut off another working unit so we would suffer in the heat and be grateful to spend more money with them. As of now, 3 weeks later, we have a new trustworthy Air Conditioning company to work with. We did have some work done to repair Damion's error and it was nothing close to the $4900 AATC quoted and surprise, surprise, the downstairs system never needed any work. read more

Technician who diagnosed my AC was less than 10 minutes at my property and I was charged $400 for unclogging my drain lines. They determined my coil was leaking Freon and quoted me $3000 to replace. I got a second opinion from another company and wow turns out I didn't need a coil replacement after all and my AC was back in working order for less than what I paid these thieves. read more

Technicians have no idea what they're doing. I had 3 different technicians come out, and each one found a different problem, One technician put in a motor that was temporary and the air conditioning work. But the heater didn't work. We asked to have the heater work. Technician came. And then the air conditioning didn't work. Now. A third technician came and nothing works The air conditioner is brand new only two years old,. We called customer service, and all they had to say is we have thousands of customers just like you, and we can't solve the problem until next Week, She got very abrupt and hung up. Now we sat all weekend, in ninety degree weather with no Air conditioning I do not recommend this company at all. Because Once they have you sold? i had a tech come out to look at my shower as i wasnt getting hot water they said they need to take my inside air system out and cut the wall to replace the whole valve which would cost $3000.00 other option was to cut my tiles in the shower to get to it and then fill the tile area with stainless steal cost $1400.00 when all i needed was a cartridge $22.00 at home depot and a handyman just finished installing charging me $89.00 and he bought the part. A new unit was installed in May. We visit our Florida home once every 5 weeks and the system never works. We have had to stay in a hotel several times, we arrive and the apartment is 80 degrees. Each time, we then waste a day with a service call. We leave and the unit stops working. No confidence the system will ever be good. We have suggested that the new system should be changed, is a lemon, but Air around the Clock refuses to install a new unit. Today's service call did not get the apartment under 74 degrees, that is not acceptable for a brand new system! read more

Called them at 7:30 pm as an emergency to have someone come fix our AC that went out. I told them my wife has health issues and we needed someone to respond that night. They do advertise as 24/7 service. The operator had no idea when it if someone would contact us that night. No one called let alone come out. We received a call around 8:30 the next morning. I told them we called someone else that was more responsive and we had our AC fixed by noon. What a joke. Don't call them and don't think they will even call You back if you do. read more

The technician Rolin came in with tunnel vision of selling me a new unit. Yes it is getting old. Was trying to get it fixed for my mother in-law 97th birthday party. I told Rolin that the compressor was shutting off. I had to beg him to hook up gauges. Was full of Freon and pressures were good. All he wanted to do was sell me a new unit. He said that the coils were a solid block of ice. I said if that was true you would have no airflow out the vents. Yes the coils were dirty but that's not the problem. Rolin can't fix a sandwich let alone fix my ac. Finally I told him to go since he didn't want to perform any more diagnostic and find the root cause. The root cause was the capacitor for the compressor. I called and spoke to Brenda Lee about getting all or some of my $231 dollars back since Rolin was to lazy or didn't know how to diagnose. I asked to speak with someone in charge, she told me no one was there. If Mike Lang had a set of stones he would call me. This company should be called thieves around the clock. read more

We've worked with Air Around the Clock for over 4 years. Sadly this experience was not like the others. The first technician they sent tore apart our package unit (Steven) and without running any diagnostics said the motor needed replacing. He returned an hour later and spent the next 4 hours sitting in his air conditioned van smoking cigarette after cigarette. He emerged from the van for a few minutes here and there to install the motor only to announce that the mother board needed to be replaced. He left to get the motherboard promising to install that evening. He didn't show up again until the next morning. He left our unit exposed to the weather and wires and screws on the ground. A ladder was left propped up against the house. When he did return the next day, he clearly had no clue how to install the board, claiming the wiring was all wrong. After an hour - mostly spent in the van googling answers, he grabbed his ladder and drove off never to be seen again. Fortunately for us, a new tech was sent 3 hours later (at my insistence). Dane-Roy was at the top of his game, he correctly installed the mother board and diagnosed the problem in minutes. Quickly cool air was flowing! He identified a problem with the thermostat and installed a new one - only leaving after he knew the system was functioning properly. The lesson learned is that Air Around the Clock is only as good as the tech they send. All are not created equal. read more
