My heater from 1987 finally stopped working. It was running but no heat for 3 days in chilly February! So I had 3 different companies give me a free estimate. Stan really impressed me. He was extremely knowledgeable at diagnosing the problem in 5 -10 minutes. He showed me that the controller was broken by using a special device that manually turned on my heater. He even told me the fan was making noise and needed to be replaced. The other two companies weren't as fast nor thorough (they didn't address the fan, one wanted to replace the igniter and valve which were fine, one took over an hour to diagnose, and the other companies couldn't prove to me why the controller was broken). So I had my heater replaced (stan told me the pros and cons vs getting a heat pump). His partner alex installed the heater from 8am to noon and also did an amazing job. Now my dad and I don't have to be freezing at night! I will definitely call Stan again for my ac and water heater replacements in the future! read more

I highly recommend Irvine Air Conditioning Repair. My AC was putting out a little cool air, but not much. Yesterday, another HVAC company -- one with 300 5-star reviews -- came by for a couple of hours and told me a bunch of nonsense -- "the compressor is so hot that it might explode" -- and tried to sell me new AC and furnace for $15K to $35K. After they other HVAC company -- the one with 300 5-star reviews -- left, the furnace fan would NOT come on. Why wasn't it working? The furnace fan was working fine BEFORE they came. I checked the breaker and made sure it was on. The other HVAC company -- the one with 300 5-star reviews -- had left the circuit breaker for the AC turned OFF. Did they do this on purpose so that I would think that the AC unit was broken and needed to be replaced? Yes, I think that is exactly what they did. I checked to make sure the furnace was plugged in. But the furnace fan still would not come on. Robert from Irvine Air Conditioning Repair came by today. Before Robert from Irvine Air Conditioning Repair started, I showed him that the furnace fan would NOT turn on. Robert from Irvine Air Conditioning Repair found that the switch inside the furnace panel, which turns the furnace fan off if the panel is removed for safety reasons, was BROKEN. (The broken switch -- a small piece of black plastic -- was laying on the floor inside the furnace closet.) That is why the furnace fan would not turn on. Obviously, the other HVAC company -- the one with 300 5-star reviews -- had BROKEN the switch, but did not tell me! Did they break the switch ON PURPOSE so that my furnace fan would not work, so I would think that I needed to replace everything at the cost of $15K to $35K? YES, I believe that is exactly what they did! M*ther-f*ckers! I had previously used the other HVAC company -- the one with 300 5-star reviews --on four different occasions in the past two years at rental properties because of their "hundreds of great reviews". I will NEVER use the other HVAC company -- the one with 300 5-star reviews -- ever again. Never, ever, ever. I do NOT trust them. Robert from Irvine Air Conditioning Repair came by today, told me and showed me exactly what was wrong, and fixed my AC for $350. My AC is cooling great! Thank you, Robert! I just moved into my recently purchased home last Friday evening in Irvine in the heat of the summer and found out that the A/C system was not working!
