In July 2024, they added refrigerant and UV leak sealant to our A/C unit with an explicit 2-year warranty stated on the invoice: if the temporary seal failed within two years, the $920 paid would apply toward locating and completing a permanent fix. When our cooling failed within that warranty window, a technician returned and completely refused to honor the guarantee: Misleading Diagnosis: They claimed the unit was fully operational and insisted the issue was an "undersized" system, quoting over $11,000 for a full replacement. This 2.5-ton unit had cooled the home effectively for over a decade and was never flagged as undersized during their 2024 visit. Dismissive Service: They denied any leak existed and dismissed our warranty inquiry by labeling the visit a "nuisance call." Proven Wrong: We brought in a second licensed HVAC contractor for an independent assessment. They immediately confirmed the system was low on refrigerant due to a slow leak. Once properly recharged, the unit went right back to cooling normally. Instead of honoring their warranty or being upfront about leak-search options, Real Time Bros misrepresented the issue to push an unnecessary $11k+ installation. Save yourself the frustration and hire an honest contractor who stands behind their work.

To cut a long story short, I have not had good experiences with HVAC companies in the past where they try to scare you into paying for overpriced (and unnecessary) replacement parts, expensive service plans, and then end up doing shoddy work. This was why my AC never cooled like it was supposed to.....for the last 6 or 7 years! Until now. I had read through all the reviews on Yelp for a HVAC company I could trust, and finally narrowed my choices down to Stanley at Irvine AC. I emailed the company about what I needed done....that is, AC was not cooling as it should, and to have my themostat replaced to a smart one. The response was quick and detailed....and surprised me as it was on a weekend and I didn't expect any reply till the following work week. Anyway, I later learned that it was Stanely himself who responded to my email, informing me what he would do, what it would cost, and even made several suggestions on thermostats for me to consider over the rest of the weekend....I really appreciated that. Anyway, Stanley texted me 20-30 minutes before ETA...nice....and arrived on time. Just simple, honest, friendly and fair expert service...that's it. During Stanley's time at our home, we chatted about this and that, and this gave me even more confidence in his abilities, his personality, and his character.....not only is he a true expert in what he does, he's a good, honest, and affable person, and as far as I am concerned, this is exactly what I been looking for for so long.

He explained about the capacitor--been hearing that word for years but never knew it meant something sort of like a battery in the condenser unit (that big metal cube thing that sits in your backyard that powers all of the life-sustaining cold air in the house that keeps you from certain death during a heatwave...LOL!l), flushing the drain lines etc. Also learned how to do simple things like opening the drawer for the filter--DUH! I'm so lame, I'd been trying to open the big flat panel to put in a new filter for some time but gave up --then the other day I realized the drawer on the bottom was the thing with the filter, but because I'm arthritic, I didn't think I could pull it out. Alan made it real simple for me and showed me there's a latch on it that you squeeze and voila!--it just opens! For a year, I haven't been able to master that one simple trick--LOL!! What I thought was maybe only a capacitor turned out to be a blown fuse in the attic and a broken contactor. Capacitor was working but had a low reading so got all 3 replaced in one swoop. Work was done quickly and at every step Benjamin went out of his way to test everything to make sure it was working as well as explain to me what he was doing and why he was doing it. I called Jesse Moreno on Tuesday, he gave me a quote for a dryer vent cleaning over the phone and came in person to do the job that same Thursday. My dryer vent is odd and goes up through a wall in the center of the house and exits on the roof on the 2nd floor (thanks new home builder). I also asked him to inspect the full length of my vent tube, since houses in my area were known for rushed shoddy construction and part of the vent tube had come apart some years back (but was repaired by some AC guys I hired a few yrs ago). Jesse showed up 15min early and got the entire job done within about 35min, including a full cleaning of the vent tube from the roof all the way down to my dryer without having to move anything, take anything apart, and he spent a minimum of time inside my house. At my request, he also ran a camera down the tube to ensure there were no unrepaired breaks or leaks and everything was intact and working the way it was supposed to. At the end of the job he provided me with the video which showed my vent tube was sparkly clean, and he ended up charging me exactly what he quoted over the phone and not a penny more. Yes this job can be DIY if you have the right tools. But Jesse was so fast and clean and did the job so effortlessly, I feel like I will keep his number and call him every so often and save myself the time and effort. I recently had the pleasure of working with Stanley and his team for the replacement of two different air conditioner units and evaporator coils at my home in Irvine. Over the past year, they have consistently impressed me with their professionalism and quality of service. Stanley repaired our AC heater problem. We had AC heater and cooler problems for several years. It used to work on and off. What a service! I sent them a message through yelp to see if they can help me with a project and they came next to day to give an estimate. I needed an installation of new ac and heat pump. They installed brand new unit, took them good amount of time since it's not that easy. Did excellent job. Nice people, good work ethic. Left everything neat and clean after themselves. We simply sent a courtesy email to express our disappointment as a feed back. Well we got a quick call back from Kemnitz, trying to justifying overprice and un-authorized repairs. They cllaim that they could not do a tune-up on a non operational unit. Our unit was fully operational and getting the house at the desired temperature. Rather than taking the opportinuty to improve their services, they chose to call me to blame me, yell at me, and hanup the phone. The call was chnage from maintenance agreement to service visit, without notifying me at any time, with the insiunation that our AC was not working. The techinician also mentionned to me that he had replace some parts, afetr the facts and without telling me. I nenevr saw the parts... We went for a $154 tune-up to a $585 invoice surprise. Their only argument is that since I sign the invoice at the end , that I agreed to everything. I also no feedback on a request quote for new equipement. I'll leave it to you to decide if that is the king opf service you want ... Me, I will not do business with a company that take to time to yell at the client rather than providing good service.

When our cooling failed within that warranty window, a technician returned and completely refused to honor the guarantee: Misleading Diagnosis: They claimed the unit was fully operational and insisted the issue was an "undersized" system, quoting over $11,000 for a full replacement. This 2.5-ton unit had cooled the home effectively for over a decade and was never flagged as undersized during their 2024 visit. Proven Wrong: We brought in a second licensed HVAC contractor for an independent assessment. They immediately confirmed the system was low on refrigerant due to a slow leak. Once properly recharged, the unit went right back to cooling normally. Instead of honoring their warranty or being upfront about leak-search options, Real Time Bros misrepresented the issue to push an unnecessary $11k+ installation. Save yourself the frustration and hire an honest contractor who stands behind their work.
