Brian from JW Mitchell did a great job taking care of our issue, we actually had a different hvac company come in and couldn't figure out the issue and Brian came in and immediately knew what it was before even opening the panel based purely on the smell. He confirmed it and allowed me to confirm as well and explained how/why it could happen. After turning on my heater for the first time in a while, my smoke alarm went off and I smelled smoke, which was understandably concerning. I called JW Mitchell and they were able to come out within a few hours, which I really appreciated. The technician was calm, thorough, and reassuring. He tested the system and confirmed that everything was functioning properly. He explained that some smell can be normal when a heater hasn't been used for a while, which immediately put me at ease. Before leaving, he did notice a very slight smell coming from the fan, but it was nowhere near what I experienced initially. He explained what to watch for going forward, so I'd know if it ever needed attention, which I really appreciated. I had JW Mitchell install my heat pump several years ago. I have had absolutely no issues with it and am extremely pleased with the purchase. It works great! I have also had them regularly service the heat pump in order to keep it in tip top shape. They are affordable and their customer service is amazing.
