Customers who have recently completed HVAC work with Air Max HVAC out of Burbank,CA. may want to consider waiting 30-60 days before submitting a review to allow time for any post-installation issues to surface. During the two-day installation at my residence, the crew was courteous and took appropriate precautions to protect the home, including using drop cloths and plastic barriers to minimize dust. The installation appeared thorough at the time, including replacement of the main system components and ducting, as well as the addition of an extra vent as requested. At completion, there were no immediate concerns with the workmanship. However, on March 18, one of the vents became loose. I contacted the company and was advised that a technician would come out to assess and address the issue. On March 25, a technician visited and indicated that there would be a charge for the repair. This was not previously communicated. During the discussion, there was disagreement regarding whether the work related to the vent and associated ducting was covered under the original scope of work. The explanation provided was that the work order only reflected equipment replacement, not duct work. Additionally, the service visit extended beyond the reported issue, including inspection and interaction with the outdoor condenser, which was not part of the original concern. This was unexpected and not clearly explained. The interaction concluded without resolution, and communication during the visit became unproductive. Following this, I spoke with the office, and another appointment was discussed with a different technician. I was advised to expect a follow-up call the next morning; however, I did not receive further communication as indicated. Given the overall cost of the project over 17k and the subsequent experience with follow-up service and communication, the outcome has been disappointing. Oh, I especially appreciated being charged for the vent after already paying such a generous amount. And then, naturally, being quoted $12k to replace a single mini split really helped put things into perspective. Fool me once, right? I'll go ahead and pass on that quote. Highly would not recommend working with Victor after his call and hanging up on me. I made sure to let the office know that I do not want him back on my property... in short they never fixed the vent after waiting for the call all morning on March 26th. Am retired building superintendent, I shopped around and asked other HVAC supers, they total me if I wanted the best as a homer The Lennox brand was my best choice. I had 4 different HVAC companies come over and give me estimate and gave them my scope of work for a completely new Central Air throughout from the attic to the Furnace. It was amazing on the different scopes of work I received and the total cost. Since I had 4 different scopes of work for only one type of HVAC system, I had to do my homework on each component and all the work related work. After my research and due-diligence on the components, only one HVAC company seems to understand what I looking for in a new central air system, that was "Air Max" all the other HVAC companies had NO idea what I was looking for. I call for an appointment for Air Max sales person to give an estimate based on my scope of work and my needs with a 2 story corner home. Abe, came out I showed him my concerns, my needs, and issues and we discussed them all and discussed the type of equipment that I was looking for. His suggestions were the same equipment I was researching of the Lennox brand. And most of his suggestion in regards to the issues with a 2 story home, being that 2nd story room is hotter than the downstairs rooms. On to the installation, they started on a very, very hot day Monday, Aug 7th. A crew of 2 techs and 1 trainee they work smart and hard the foremen Jose, was excellent, knowledgeable and work with pride the same with his partner Alex and the trainee was doing good too. They worked clean and organized and at the end of the day, they cleaned and ready for the next day. They finished up with a total of 3 and half days, on the 10th of Aug the A/C was work at maximum and the noise factor at the A/C condenser outside was quiet (you could have a conversation next to it and not know that it was on and cooling the inside of the house. To give you an idea for the next 3 weeks or so, possibly longer we had a heat wave 100 degrees + during the day and 80's in the night to the next morning, we had the A/C going 24/7 and you would think that the electricity would have been $500 + however, since all of the Lennox components are all energy efficient we have saved 38% and that's the truth. I am a single mom with a little girl. I called the manager Jeffrey after 9pm. I had called at least 12 other companies; and most did not answer. The ones that did, stated things like I needed a new furnace, they were not available until a day or two; and NONE were kind nor helpful. I was in tears! Jeffrey walked me through everything! He said he would refuse to allow a mother and little girl to freeze, as this was of course the first HUGE storm in Thousand Oaks that I have experienced in ages. Therefore my house was ice cold! Jeffrey did in fact walk me through everything, and sure enough it was as simple as the door to the furnace was not closed tight enough since I had just recently changed my filter. I insisted on mailing him a check for his truly sincere kindness, and he refused any monies, as he said it was a simple fix to him. If only there were more people like him. Nothing on the contract that was supposed to be done for my brand new Lennox air conditioning including our rebate forms where ever done. Just so you know it is intent to commit fraud when you sign on a contract that you're going to get permits and you're going to have an inspector come out here and then you don't do it. I spoke with Jeffrey which was an actual joke he kept telling me 3 times a day he's going to drop off documents with their insurance and workman's comp info for me to take down to Riverside. Which was never the agreement but I settled on it because they just weren't giving me proof and they were lying so much. I paid for my own thermostat they were supposed to give me the thermostat that came with my new unit they never did. They never got permits they never got the electrical checked and they never put all new ducts in like they were supposed to. They only put the main duct in the bottom of the house... suddenly all of a sudden they write me a letter saying that I owe them $900 which is not true and two days later my air conditioning stops working when I just had it put in middle of May 2019. read more

Well I had a bad experience with this company I went to Lowe's to get someone to come out about a furnace however when the representative came out and when he spoke to his supervisor his supervisor begin to say these to me were like discriminatory things because he's on the phone telling me oh you must don't have money or you must don't have the money and only after I cursed him out and I threw the guy out my house then I got a hold of his supervisor and his supervisor did like so many people do he only Validated his behavior and said oh he didn't mean it like that does that in a day and of course you know how sorry they are they are always sorry but I know in the future this guy will have a plenty of lawsuits against his ass for defending someone like that because I like I said it makes you complicit at best to allow somebody in your company to talk to someone like that Whether or not it was because we were a gay couple or lived in the hood per se he still had no right to make that discriminatory assumption that I didn't have money so like I said just watch out for these people read more

After searching through a list of approved contractors for LADWP's free HVAC service program, I made an appointment with Air Max HVAC based on their Yelp reviews. At first, I was going to have to wait nearly two months for an appointment, but after I told the scheduler that I was a teacher, she worked with me to find an appointment at a time when I would not have to find a substitute. Jose was the service person who was at the appointment and he could not have been professional. He remained at the property for two hours and was thorough about checking the compressor and the HVAC system in general. He discovered a small leak in my compressor but, rather than suggest an $800 service to locate the leak, he suggested that, based on the levels of coolant in the compressor, the leak was too small to be a concern. In addition, he changed the HVAC filter and installed a Nest home thermometer. All the billing was taken care of between Air Max and LADWP -- all I had to do was say, "thank you!." read more

AirMax HVAC of Burbank installed our HVAC system. Our old system died during the heat of the summer, they set up an appointment for just a couple days after we contacted them, we executed an agreement during that meeting, and they installed new HVAC about 3 days later. It was a tough job, what with the HVAC being located in the 2nd-floor attic and located quite a distance from the outdoor condenser. AirMax is very professional and well organized, from the sales people, the financial people, the office staff, and certainly the installers. The latter were very nice, efficient and professional. We had a permit pulled, and our city inspector came to our house and inspected the outdoor condenser, the equipment in the attic, and the electrical box and connections; and he signed off on the permit on his first visit. My AC went out during the heat wave. Called Air Max and they were able to schedule me within a couple of days. Unlike the other companies I called they wanted to schedule me within weeks. The technician Rolando arrived on time with his mask and booties. I told him the history of the problem with my unit and right away he knew what the problem was. My drain lines were clogged and water pan full of water. The safety switch had tripped causing the unit to shut off. He unclogged the lines and cleared the water. He reset the switch and my unit was up and running. He also noticed my AC was low on freon. He added a few lbs and it was cooling like a new unit. Just used this company to get my A/C fixed that someone else put in about 3 years ago, but go figure cause now the install company is nowhere to be found and I'm stuck with a warranty that is no warranty at all. But anyway, it probably worked out for the best, because I called Air Max HVAC and they came out same day and $288.00 later my A/C is working perfectly. The old company that installed the darn thing didn't balance something and I was low on freon. I Selected Air Max HVAC after deciding what type of A/C equipment we wanted to buy. Lennox was the best quality for a good price. It took one day to complete installing a brand new system for our 1900 square foot home. I admit I was surprised at how much work it took to put in air conditioning, but they cleaned up after themselves, did a quality job, and their G.M. Answered my zillion questions through out the day.
