Great service, great job, honest, forthright. From the time I first contacted Air Max, Abe was in touch, looked over the job and answered my questions. My house has two systems- a five ton for downstairs and a four ton upstairs. The downstairs completely failed when the temperatures were upwards of 100 degrees and I didn't even get call-backs from some of the companies I called (until AFTER the new system was installed by Air Max and the weather cooled off). I was debating between conventional AC and a really sophisticated 20+ SEER unit. I chose the sophisticated approach after Abe answered all my questions. And it works at least as well, if not even better, than Abe said it would. The entire job was handled in a single day--I left for work as they arrived in the morning and they were wrapping things up when I got home in the evening. By 8:00 that evening, the downstairs was at 73 degrees- just like I set it. Air Max isn't the cheapest vendor around, but their price was all inclusive and I didn't get nickel and dimed for "extras". One other vendor (who I shall not name) quoted a price that was a little lower for what I THOUGHT was the same equipment, but I then found out about all sorts of additional costs for things that Air Max had included in their price. By the time I would have been done with the other company, it might have actually cost MORE despite looking like it would cost less up front. I'm extremely satisfied with the professionalism, the communication and the finished job. I highly recommend Air Max to anybody who is looking for a quality job at a fair price. read more

Very responsive to my request- Abe came out right away did a thorough review of our existing (broken) system and gave me a quote on the spot. I was hesitant because it felt like a bit of a high-pressure sales pitch. But after comparing the Air Max quote to others, I saw it was very fair, and perhaps I'd misread his enthusiasm in offering a really good deal. Furthermore they had the equipment in stock to install which others said was difficult to get because of the factory shutdowns. When it came to installation, they were quick and efficient: in under two days they'd completely replaced two 3T compressors, coils and furnaces. The new system is 2x Lennon XC20 and SL280NV: although it's only been a few days since it was installed, it is markedly improved: the house is quiet, the room adjacent to the blower doesn't shake, and the temperature is so stable that we've actually increased the target temperature. I'm very happy with our experience. read more

I had an amazing experience working with Abe and his team. They're extremely knowledgeable and professional and I couldn't be happier with my Lennox HVAC system. I had several companies give me quotes on a completely new system, including the condenser, furnace and new duct work, however AirMax was the only company that sat down with me, explained all my options, looked at my historical energy consumption and give me an honest assessment of what I needed and where spending more made sense and where it didn't. For ex. every other company suggested I needed a 5 ton system and therefore an additional al return, however Abe gave me confidence that a 4 ton system was perfect for my house size and didn't require cutting out another return in the house which I was relieved about. I ended up spending a little extra for a top of the line Lennox system which I still believe I got for a great price and it is amazing. My house is on a raised foundation and I still don't know how his crew was able to crawl around under the house. All in all I think HVAC systems are not something to cut corners on and if you're looking for a premium product and premium service to deliver and maintain your system I would look no further than Air Max. Worst company ever on keepr word. The owner does not tell you the truth and rarely tries to figure outfired his Manager after secretly paying him under the table which is against Contractor law and the reason was, because the Manager had a heart attack, worked for four years, no benefits, no healthcare, no vacations, and only made 3 thousand a month. The owner never kept his word to this guy about increasing his pay once they got the business going. Oh yeah Air Max is only 5 years old, another lie. Also the manager broke his foot on the job and the owner promised to take care of it if they did not go through workers comp, another law broken. Of course the manager now has a crushed foot that makes him notn professional and unable to get another job, because o f this owner. Don't do business with these people. They have other employees including the manager who have to sue them to get their lives back. read more

Called Lowe's for an A/C estimate since the old one (13 years old) died. Lowe's sent over an Air Max rep and an Lowe's project specialist. The rep, Justin, explained everything very clearly. The project specialist, Ruthie, explained the credit and Lowe's guarantee commitment. I had 4 estimates and although not the lowest bid, it was a Lennox, with a ten year parts warranty, and a 24 months no interest credit card to pay for the thing. On installation day, the guys showed up on time, did the install and left. It was great. A few days later, a follow-up guy showed up, double checked the system, which works fine, and left. Again, great. My guys are out of Burbank not North Hollywood and it was the Pacoima Lowe's I dealt with. Diana, out of the Air Max office, was just as nice as can be in dealing with scheduling the city inspector on my A/C unit. Would I recommend these guys; yes. read more

First let me start with AirMax installed my Heating and Air Conditioning System 3 years ago. Abe was so nice, honest and efficient then. My heater stop working this past week and I called AirMax to come to check out my heater. Abe was at my home within 2 hours. Fast service is hard to find these days. Abe is so personable. After assessing my heater, he told me it was my motor. Abe said, the motor was covered by warranty but I would need to pay for labor. I didn't have a problem with that . The price quote for the labor was affordable. Abe said he would have the part replaced in 3 days. Of course, it was so cold the last 3 days. Abe called on Saturday with the part. I was so excited to get some heat! Not only did Abe fix my heater. He also replaced some circuit breakers for me. So now I have heat and electricity! Abe is such a nice guy! I had this company replace my 40-year-old furnace and air conditioner in my condo. Jeffrey is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, and has been so helpful the whole time. It's obvious that he cares about helping people and making sure his company is doing a good job. I'm torn between giving a 4 or 5 star rating. I'm taking a star off just because the work didn't pass inspection the first time, so there had to be a second day of work and a reinspection--it took a little longer than planned. Jeffrey was very polite to the inspector both times, never arguing or getting frustrated as the problems were pointed out but just agreeing that things weren't right and should be fixed. And everything was fixed within a couple days, and the second inspection passed. It sure seems like the hiccup on my project was not normal for this company, but even so it was taken care of quickly and professionally to my satisfaction. Bought our Lennox heating and air units from Costco 8 years ago so part needed to fix unit not under warranty. The computer board went out and company that Costco deals with quoted a price $500 more than Air Max HVAC to repair.
