I own a pellet stove and, while it worked fine, it was not properly ducted by the people who sold it to me (not Air Mechanical) so the heat was inconsistent. One end of the house was always too warm and the other too cold. I called a couple of heating and cooling businesses near me to see if anything could be done about my situation and one said they were too busy and the other said they'd stop by when they had a moment. That was six weeks ago. So I called Air Mechanical just on a shot in the dark. They had a technician named Brandon out quickly who spent a couple of hours diagnosing the situation. He returned with the parts and provided the correct hookup to our existing furnace ducting. It has worked like a charm ever since. A week later the pellet stove quick working so I called them back. They promptly sent out the same technician and told me that the repair was under warranty. With me talking to him the whole time and working with him to diagnose the problem he discovered an issue with the stove that had nothing to do with the work that he had done previously. He quickly fixed it and it's working great. I really appreciated his great, helpful attitude and his willingness to help me even though it wasn't Air Mechanical's fault. Preston was professional, knowledgeable and courteous, even when delivering bad news and getting an earful from me. My furnace and A/C were installed late fall of 2014. A/C unit not used until summer of 2015. Preston informed me he thought the A/C compressor was bad and the furnace blower motor was leaking oil. Preston then quite literally tore apart my A/C unit and put it back together- and voila!!! The unit is working beautifully now. Thanks Preston! That saved me a lot of money. Not such a happy ending for the blower motor - that will have to be replaced. Preston was calm and collected, professional and courteous even when I was throwing a tiny temper tantrum The installers are another story however and this is an area I think Air mechanical could improve. There are no educational requirements to be an installer and I can tell you that some of the service folk from air mechanical are not happy with their installation team either! On the other hand, the installers mistakes provide job security for the technicians. I would still recommend air mechanical for their highly trained and exceptional technician teams. I am only rating 4 star because their installers caused problems for me, but their technicians are a 5 star read more

I just had my annual HVAC tune-up and inspection of our natural gas furnace. Aaron G., the service technician, was outstanding. He found a severe oil leak in the furnace fan motor and was able to replace it with a new upgraded DC motor during the same service call. The new DC motor is much quieter than our old AC motor. Also, no more capacitor replacements will be necessary as this is a DC motor! Aaron did a very professional job of replacing the fan motor and answered all of my questions about it. I couldn't be more pleased with Air Mechanical and their employees, who I have interacted with over the years. I recently had new AC/Furnace installed by Air Mechanical. I received a prior confirmation call and also a call to indicate they were about to arrive. My installation team of two made short/efficient work of the job. They worked independently, yet kept in communication with each other (one mainly working outdoors) and with me. They informed me of a non-working receptacle on my patio - no doubt as a result of recent siding application. They offered suggestions on the best filters and demonstrated use of a new thermostat. They were neat, and tidied up the furnace area prior to leaving, and were generally enjoyable "guests" in our home. I could not have been happier! read more

I used AMI for a drain clog. They came out the same day and not only cleared the drain but ran the snake throughout the system. Nathan gave great advice on keeping the system clear. He cleaned up and even cleaned out my undersink cabinet since I am no longer able to get down on my knees. I have used AMI for all my plumbing and water softener issues. The repairman talked too much, especially about his own personal issues. He did not clean up after completion of the repair. He left cardboard scraps on the floor, and didn't have the courtesy to turn out the lights when he departed. I was not satisfied with the warranty repair, and I have been told that a more professional repair will be forthcoming. I certainly hope so! read more
