Although my AC and furnace were from 1989 they were still technically 'working,' but I noticed the heater wouldn't always kick on and the AC would struggle. Marcel was honest and said they were fine for now, but you never know when units that old will finally go. I decided to change them now rather than wait for an emergency. Even though I just got the quote, he had an opening and was able to get the AC installed just two days later! A few days after that, I decided to do the furnace too. This is where they really shined: because of how that 1989 Carrier system was built, they had to do almost double the work to modify the setup they had just done for the AC. They responded promptly, scheduling a technician to investigate. The communication was excellent throughout. I received text reminders when the service was scheduled, including the name of the service technician, and an update when the technician was en route to the property. After completing the job, the technician called me to explain his findings: the connection to the heat pump was proper, and the non-color-coded wires were due to existing wiring being used, as the new heat pump required a higher amp capacity. The technician also replaced the extremely dirty air filter. Impressively, Elim handled this issue at no cost, even though the HVAC unit was replaced two years ago. A big thank you to the owner, staff, and technician for exceptional service - they truly deserve recognition! I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them because they are professional, kind, and genuinely care about their customers.
