We decided to hire ATLAS for the job: the furnace was old, and the original roof ducting did a lousy job distributing the heat throughout the house. I was always cold even when the heat was "blasting". ATLAS did a thorough and patient analysis of our old system. They decided to double up the ducts to provide more air flow, and they also organized the flow inside the ducts: it worked. Frankly, the final cost was reasonable, considering the benefits I am getting from it. I particularly recommend Nick and Scott who supervised the project: they really looked into the project, then fixed the problem. Plus: the work was clean, and the communication great all along. The technician confirmed that the refrigerant charge was correct and that the system was cooling properly. Based on the diagnosis, the noise appeared to be coming from the compressor. Unfortunately, instead of discussing different repair or replacement options, the conversation immediately shifted to a proposal to replace the outdoor unit and evaporator coil for nearly $12,000. My original goal was to explore whether replacing only the outdoor condenser was a viable option, but that was never meaningfully discussed. I also found the estimate to be at the very high end of the market for a single stage system. I paid a $60 diagnostic fee and was told that it would be credited toward the installation if I decided to move forward. However, the estimate I received did not reflect that credit or mention it anywhere. Overall, I left feeling that the visit was focused more on selling a replacement system than helping me find the most practical and cost effective solution.

All of the bedroom units are flush mounted in the ceiling and look great. Angel was very professional and prompt during the quoting process.
