I can't say enough about the customer service this company has provided me for the last 10 years!! Tonight, I came home from work and my AC was not working and the house had to be 80 degrees! Last year, Sam came by at 8PM on a hot day in June to attend to my broken AC. The top grill fell and the the fan got all chopped up; it was an older model, but Sam managed to find a replacement grill/fan combo and installed the sucker the very next day. Flash back to this June (thankfully I kept his card right on the fridge), the AC stopped working again on a hot afternoon. Sam came by again on a late night and troubleshooted the issue. Sam took my call early this morning on a 10 degree day with no heat. He told me that the pipes were probably frozen but he would come out - I was 5th on the list. He said the pipes would likely thaw as the day warmed up. Wa La! That did happen and I cancelled the appointment. The great thing is that without meeting Sam I feel He is trustworthy. This is the second time I have called Sam out to my house and he has been able to come and take a look at my furnace within 30 minutes. He is very good at diagnosing and explaining the issue. He has always been direct and answered all of my questions. Both times my unit had stopped working and he has been able to get it back up and running within the same day. Called this morning to set up a schedule for service work. When I called it seemed I woke the person up because they sounded quite groggy. They were not very helpful and almost seemed to not want to help me. The more I explained my units problem, the more it went in circles. He kept trying to diagnose the problem over the phone and not wanting to set up a service call. It wasn't till after I made the comment that I felt like he didn't want to help me that he said he would come out. I then realized I wasn't going to get anywhere with this person or company, so I decided best to take my business elsewhere. I've been in customer service for over 10+ years and know this is not how you want to treat someone when you run a business. Especially service calls. ***Update*** Within an hour of leaving this review, the person I spoke with at Air Specialists Heating and Cooling called me back and asked why I left a negative review. I explained to him why I felt his treatment earlier warranted a negative review. We talked back and forth about the entire situation. He explained that he had the flu, and I sympathized with him. He apologized for letting things go that way, and offered to come out and repair my heating unit at no cost. Whatever it would take to make things right. I appreciated his efforts to rectify the situation, and will alter my review just a bit. I still decided to go with another company but appreciate his willingness to right a wrong.. My gas furnace went out and I called this company for a second opinion. The first company I called said my furnace was not worth repairing and tried to sell me a new air and heating system. Sam came to my home and he found the two parts I needed and said there was nothing wrong with my furnace except needing the two parts. He went and got the parts came back and put them in and whooo hooo I had heat again. Sam was so polite and the repair was reasonably priced. I would recommend this company and Sam. read more

My A/C stopped working during a holiday weekend when it was very hot and humid outside. I had little hope that anyone HVAC person that I called would even pick up the phone but was pleasantly surprised and relieved when Sam not only answered but offered to come over that (Sunday) afternoon. If I could give 50 stars, I would. Our air stopped working and I found Air Specialists on Google. Sam answered the phone after hours and was willing to come out that night. We stuck it out and scheduled for 8:00 am the next morning. He arrived right on time and was excellent. I know absolutely nothing about air conditioners and he took the time to explain everything that was going on in detail and answered every question I had with no problem. Winter of '15 has been extremely mild to say the least but the first legit cold snap that came through put our old heat pump out of commission. Being our first house and first repair call for a heat pump I wasn't sure what to expect but Sam was extremely helpful. We scheduled an appt and he was prompt, found the problem immediately and fixed it. Long story short our heat has been restored just in time for some gold ole Cary snow dusting! Had another guy come by yesterday who failed to fix the problem and, instead, opted for an expensive, temporary solution that didn't even last a full day.
